TRUE BLOOD "Keep This Party Going" Review (Season 2 Episode 2)

From Demonstv

TRUE BLOOD returned last week and we finally learned the fate of Lafayette, as well as the identity of the body in Andy's car, who turns out was Miss Jeanette.

But what I think is on all your minds is "what's coming up next?", well how about I tell you a little more about True Blood new episode "Keep This Party Going" airing this Sunday, June 21, at 9pm.

Lafayette

Now that we know Lafayette is ok (well, sort of), the question is, what is Eric going to do with him? Unfortunately, we won't really learn much more about his fate until episode 3, but there will be a few great Lafayette scenes in this episode. And for those wondering if Lafayette will become a vamp, well where would be the fun if I told you what happens?

Eric

Well, let's just say that after feeding on the redneck guy last episode, Eric will be forced to have a little hairstyle change. No worries though, he still looks awesome.
Eric is also worried about the disappearance of a very powerful vampire, Godric, and goes to Bill for help.

Jason

Jason is on his way to find his new calling as he is heading to the Light of the Day Leadership conference. There, he will start making some new friends and somehow he will very quickly make some enemies too.
As for the conference, well it's kind of a trip, these people are pretty crazy.

Tara

Not much going on with Tara this episode, except that she is starting to have doubts about Maryann and trying to figure her out.

I am here in Beverly Hills. I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille! (That's from "Sunset Boulevard," for you younger readers.) Actually, I'm here to do some meetings and to do a cameo for "True Blood." It's much cooler here than it is at home, to my surprise.

Yes, season two. I think this'll be a bar scene. Yes, there's a picture of Alan and me behind the bar. There was also a picture of my daughter's softball team on one wall for much of season one, though it's down now. I figured Sam would support the local teams.

I'll be in the final episode in a scene in Merlotte's.

It was fun. It was also a learning experience. This scene takes place in daytime, so none of the vamps were there, and Anna didn't have a line in the scene, either. But I got to visit with Rutina (Tara), Sam (Sam!), Terry (Todd Lowe), and Arlene (Carrie Preston). It was good to run into Chris Bauer (Andy) when I went outside to get some air, and while I was eating supper at the Farmer's Market, I ran into the late great Denise Rattray (Karina Logue).

HBO original series Trueblood comes to India

Suspense, thrills, humour and a hearty dose of synthetic blood come your way as HBO announces the launch of a brand new original series, TRUEBLOOD in India. Golden Globe Award® nominated television drama, TRUEBLOOD, kicks off with the first season on Sunday, 5th July after the 9 PM movie on HBO. Starring newly crowned Golden Globe® winner (for Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama) Anna Paquin and created by Six Feet Under’s Alan Ball, TRUEBLOOD is based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse novels of Charlaine Harris about the tale of Sookie Stackhouse, a perky waitress with telepathic gifts – and an irresistible attraction to a vampire named Bill Compton.

In the not-too-distant future, and thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood, vampires no longer need humans for their fix and can walk freely, if not yet comfortably, among their living counterparts – though they can still come out only at night. Meanwhile, in the backwoods of Louisiana town in Bon Temps, Sookie works as a waitress at the down-home bar Merlotte’s. Though outwardly normal, she has unusual qualities of her own: Sookie can read minds, which complicates her world in endless ways. But Sookie’s life gets a lot more interesting when Merlotte’s gets its first vampire patron – the 173-year-old Bill – and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other.

Alan Ball on what to expect from Michelle Forbes's character

Alan on what to expect from Michelle Forbes's character: "Her character has evolved in the writers' rooms since we started. It's been a really, really interesting journey for all of us. She is a very surprising character. I don't want to give too much away but... she's trouble. She is trouble. She is more trouble than anybody's ever thought she might be. That's all I'm going to say." He later adds, when asked about taking in Tara, "You know what, there is a weird sort of like of benevolent part of her but that's a benevolent part of somebody who's not really human and probably psychotic, celebrates and loves chaos and destruction and violence and lust. You know people like that of course. [Laughs.] Yeah, so I think at the moment she thought she was doing a really good thing, she thinks she's doing a really good thing by opening up this doorway to hell for everybody to get sucked into."

Evan Rachel Wood excited to be lesbian Vampire in True Blood

Beautiful and talented 21-year-old actress/singer Evan Rachel Wood is quite excited to be playing role of a 400-year-old bloodsucking queen for hit U.S. TV drama True Blood. It seems in the episode she’ll be in a steamy sex scene with a girl !

Rachel Wood says “I don’t think vampires are really gay or straight. I think she just prefers women.” Evan Rachel Wood thinks she’s perfect for the because she has a vampire complexion.

The former girlfriend of goth rocker Marilyn Manson, who plays the character of the queen says she’s sure she’ll become a hit among the make-up team, reports Contactmusic.

She sys: “Make-up is gonna love me because I’ve got the skin for it; they don’t have to put white make-up on me - to look like a vampire - because I never go in the sun.”

The actress added: “I can’t wait to get fitted for the fangs. I’ll probably steal the fangs when I’m done.” The drama stars real-life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer as lovers caught up in a vampire war.

What secrets does True Blood's 1,000-year-old vampire reveal this season?

From Scifiwire

Alexander Skarsgard as Eric

Alexander Skarsgard, who plays the thousand-year-old vampire elder Eric Northman in HBO's supernatural drama True Blood, told SCI FI Wire that he's excited to finally get to explore more of his enigmatic character in the show's recently premiered second season.

"Season one was an introduction to Eric," Skarsgard said in an exclusive phone interview last week. "You didn't see much more than the one side, which is him being the bad-ass vampire leader. In season two we go deeper, and you'll understand that he is more complex than that and has a sensitive side and a very loyal side. He can be a great friend. He doesn't like a lot of people, but if he likes you, then he's extremely loyal. For an actor, it's something I love to do, to go deeper and play more. I felt that after season one, people were always like, 'Eric is the evil vampire,' and I always defended Eric, because I don't see him as evil at all."

Overall, True Blood is based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire novels, and in particular this sophomore season loosely follows the plot of the book Living Dead in Dallas. Both have Eric, as the vampire sheriff of Area 5 [i.e. the Deep South], charging telepath waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her vampire lover, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), to travel to Dallas, where she can use her powers to seek out the whereabouts of a dangerous vampire named Godric. Only it turns out that their harmless field trip exposes them to some potent evil that ignites a complicated triangle among the three that will unfold over the season (and more if HBO continues to pick up the show).

The following is an edited version of our interview with Skarsgard, in which he talks about what fans can expect from Eric's arc. True Blood's second season is now airing Sundays nights on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT. (Possible spoilers ahead!)

Did you find it helpful to read Charlaine's novels to build a backstory for Eric, or did show runner Alan Ball discourage that, since the show isn't a literal adaptation?

Skarsgard: No. Before we started season one, I read the first five books just to give me some backstory and to help me dive into the world and understand the world that Charlaine created and my character of Eric. But once we started shooting season one, it was a little confusing reading the books and the scripts at the same time, because they are a little bit different. Actually, it was quite confusing to try and figure out what was from the books and the series. But it was great to have them as a backstory in creating the character.

Has Alan given you a lot of notes and direction for how he wants you to interpret Eric?

Skarsgard: Alan has given me a tremendous amount of freedom, and he really lets us go and explore our characters. It's given me a lot of confidence and energy and enthusiasm as an actor to have that from a show runner.

There's a sort of hilarious too-cool-to-exist vanity about Eric, with his foil highlights in the season premiere and his casual track suits. Do you invest a lot of your own time in creating Eric's look?

Skarsgard: Yes, it's a collaboration I have with Audrey Fisher, the costume designer. She's amazing. We have a fantastic relationship. We have fittings every week where we get together and talk to bounce around ideas. It's something we play around with and come up with together.

Anything you are particularly proud of in Eric's repertoire?

True Blood Epiosde 2 spoilers from

From Korbit TV

Anyway, I don't want to give away a lot of what's coming up, because it's just too good, you've got to see it somewhat unspoiled, but I will tell you a couple things...

1) We'll see Jason off to the vampire-hating church camp where his dumb ass truly shines this week. An all-American superstar, that Stackhouse... who gifts us with a couple of great shirtless scenes on Sunday. Again, bless that Alan Ball.

2) DANCE PARTY! DANCE PARTY! At Merlotte's. Sam's not so psyched about it, but I liked it.

3) We're going to find out why Lafayette's down in that dungeon and, holy s%*!, there may be a major game changer coming.

4) We'll learn a bit more about Tara's new friend, Eggs (Mehcad Brooks), and Sookie's new step-vampette, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). They're both complicated, but you can't help but feel somewhat fond of these relatively new characters by the end of the ep... which closes with a couple sweet cliffhangers. You're going to be sick waiting for the following Sunday to come.
