What's your favorite part ?
I loved the over-all character development for pretty much everyone, especially Sookie and Eric and their relationship. I also loved that Bill and his "sister" are reunited and both seem very happy about it.
(oh and Lorena's last name being "Ball" and "Bad Things" playing in Merlotte's)

What's your favorite scene ?
See above LOL

What character fairs the best in the book ?
I think Sookie does. She's become stronger, even though she's still working through the trauma. And she's learning more about who she is and what she wants out of life.

What was your biggest surprise ?
Claude being less of a jerk, especially around Hunter. It did seem to me, even if he said it was to protect him later, Claude and Hunter's interaction was more like a happy big brother/little brother relationship. Also, Claude moving in with Sookie and Amelia moving out. And Claude's mention that he wasn't 100% gay after walking in on Sookie, naked.

Best line in book ?
It's a toss up between Eric telling Sookie he doesn't want her to be a twig because who would want to have sex with a bag of bones?
And Pam's "Fuck a zombie!" when she was told about Eric's maker being in town.

Disappointment ?
I would have liked a bit more on Appius Livius Ocella. Just more of a character development, I guess, since he just sort of seemed like the "big bad".

Favorite Part:Bill & Sookie going to the
Bellefleur home to talk to Miss Caroline
and give her the Bible and to explain
about money.
Favorite Scene:Sookie taking Hunter to the
park and Claude and Hunter playing.
Character that fairs the best:I think
Jason.
Biggest Suprise:To me it was Dernent.
Best Line:Pam F#$k A Zombie.
Dissappoint:Was that Miss Caroline had to
die in this book.

Oh and (under disappointments) I'd have liked more development of the "Kill Victor" storyline, but I'm sure we'll get that in the next book!

Favorite Part? So many good parts, but I especially loved how bitter Eric is about Sookie not being into wifehood.

Favorite Scene?
Shaman Sookie on the truth drugs!

Best Line?
“He’s going to be okay. Can I help you up?”
“No,” she said bitterly. “I prefer to drag myself along the hardwood floor.”

Dissapointment?
I'm bummed about all the traitors in their midst.

What's your favorite scene ?
Hunter and Claude playing together, I was very unexpected given the way Claude was in previous books.

What character fairs the best in the book ?
Sookie. She has finally stopped annoying me, she's thinking seriously about all outcomes possible before acts or says yes to something. I'm happy she brought herself out of her dark place and didn't push anyone (Eric) away while doing it.

What was your biggest surprise ?
Its a 3 way tie for me:
-How helpless Eric was as soon as Appius showed up.
-I never expected to see him that way. Also that Bobby is dead and was dating Felica (random).
-And how badly Sookie wanted Appius to die, the fact that she almost did it her self (in a very similar manner to how Quinn killed Andre) really took me aback.

Best line in book ?
"Fuck a zombie."

Disappointment ?
I wish there was a little more information on what was going on with the Victor story line after Sookie killed Bruno. I seemed very weird that so much time had past and Victor never came looking for his guy.

What's you favorite part ? I am not Team Bill or Team Eric, I like them both for different reasons, but I like the interchange between Bill and Sookie in this book, and that Sookie truly did something for Bill in this book (besides be a blood donor). She found his sibling to help heal him.

What's your favorite scene ? The Bible giving scene

What character fairs the best in the book ? Jason...as he is healing over his wife/fetus death, he found another girl that seems to like him just the way he is, that he mended fences with Hoyt and that he and Sookie are back on track to being Brother and Sister again.

What was your biggest surprise ? That CH mentions True Blood the HBO series in the book

Best line in book ? A few would have to go back and re-read it for strict content, the first read is always for INFORMATION. But I did like Pam's line...F'ing Zombie

Disappointment ? I have to say my disappointment was that CH wrote Alexei Romanov into the book, I just feel it was such a tragic; violent; horrible; (all the other words to insert here) death/deaths that he is sacred if that makes sense, I know its fiction but still.

Favorite Part: Sookie thinking about becoming a vampire. Sookie and Eric's oral sex scene.

Favorite Scene: Bill and Andy's grandmother. Very touching scene. I also loved hearing Bill's sister telling the story of how she, Bill and Lorena were made.

Best Character: Sookie has become stronger and knows what she wants and how to get it.

Best line in book: I love you exchange with Sookie and Eric, Finally! Eric saying you are my wife no matter what.

Diappointment: Victor is still alive or undead. I guess Charlaine is saving that for the next book. I was also hoping to see what's in Gran's attic too!

Fangtastic Book, as always can't wait for more!

What's your favorite part?
I really did enjoy Sookie the Shaman, because it was very well written and was funny. On a more meaningful note, I did enjoy the family-theme bits: Eric with his maker; Bill with his decedents and his 'sister' and Sookie with Jason, Claude, Hunter and Dermot.

What's your favorite scene?
The whole Colors thing while Sookie was a shaman was a big favorite. It can be hard to represent altered states of being in a way that doesn't seem cliched or ridiculous.

What character fairs the best in the book?
I think Bill gets the most 'done'. He both gets to embrace his decedents and reunite with his sister. Sookie and Jason both also seem to have recovered hugely from prior events by the end.

What was your biggest surprise?
This first thing is that I liked the book as much as I did. After reading the pre-release free chapter, I was worried about the book being too much of a downer. I was pleasantly surprised with how it actually worked out.
But more plot/character wise, I was pretty surprised when Sookie realized that Alcide still loved her, though I'm not sure if Charlaine means this in a literal sense or not.

Best line in book?
Definitely Fuck a Zombie.

Disappointment?
I found it odd that the Victor shoe sort of drops after they kill the two vampires in the rain. I would think that Victor would know it was them, and even if he couldn't officially suspect them, he would have put some sort of pressure on them. I also would have liked a little more reasoning for why Alexi was so messed up. Sure he was spoiled and had a lot of issues, but the only other time we've seen such out of control behavior is from Bubba, who had drugs in his system at the time. I guess I just didn't find the reasons for him being so addled as convincing.

Favorite part: Understanding why all Eric's vamps wasn't protecting saving Sookie from the fairies.

Favorite scene:
Pam telling eric what to do.

Character:
Pam she's great.

Surprise:
Not more attic action after the table, I've been waiting since book 1.

Best line:
hrm nothing

Disappointment:
Very little character development in anyone except Sookie and Jason. Bobby's death, Sam's brother's wedding as so many plot lines are on the back-burner.

I really enjoyed this book. It was well paced compared to DAG. I enjoyed the grownth of Sookie, she is really maturing.

What is your favorite part?
I enjoyed Sookie at Eric's house and their greeting. Her jumping into his arms and him catching her. Also, their cuddling after their oral sex scene. They have some great intimacy.

Biggest Surprise: Bill asking Sookie for some nookie; also asking if she loves Eric and does Eric tell her he loves her. And, Sookie considering renewing the blood bond w/Eric.

Favorite Things: 1)How Sookie has resolved her feelings with Bill. She'll always care of him, but she's not in love with him anymore. 2) How Eric has completely opened up to her. He's not holding anything back anymore. Very honest relationship between those two. His directness and bluntness extends to his feelings for her and being able to express them. Completely different than Bill.

Favorite Line: Eric telling Sookie that he knows what she wants and how to give it to her(sexual innuendo)

What's your favorite part?
Eric crying with Sookie when she wakes up from a nightmare. I really loved the more sensitive Eric, although I hope Pam isn't right about Eric being weakened because he's in love with Sookie.

What's your favorite scene?
My fave scene was Sookie on drugs. I thought she was an idiot for drinking something neither she nor Alcide even knew anything about. But the scene at the Were meeting where she was seeing all the colors and was figuring out what the different colors meant, was great!

What character fairs the best in the book?
Jason definitely has grown up a lot.

What was your biggest surprise?
Claude wanting to move in with Sookie and his behavior throughout the book. And Dermot's change of heart. I'm a little suspicious of their transformations, though. I guess it's because DAG was so explicit about what horrors fairies can be.

Best line in book?
"Fuck a zombie!"
and
"Can I help you up?"
"No, I prefer to drag myself along the hardwood floor."
LOL! Gotta love Pam!

Disappointment?
Two disappointments.
Amelia moving back to New Orleans with no plans to ever go back to Bon Temps. I was saddened by this. I loved Amelia!
Eric just sitting in his house with his head in his hands after Alexei's rampage. I didn't like how weak Eric was after Appius and Alexei showed up.

favorite part
Sookie didn't get beat up, the vamps did.

fav scene
presenting the family bible to Carline Bellefleur and her delight when she realized how they were related.

I think perhaps Jason fairs best due to his change in attitude. He doesn't seem to be the self centered child he has always been.

Claude is the biggest surprise - his change is even more dramatic than Jason's.

best line is of course- "Fuck a Zombie!"

Disapointment? It ended

Favorite part-Sookie on the drug during the Were meeting. I like how the colors were used to help her figure out who the guilty party was. Sookie loved having that power over Ham! The were meeting was interesting..especially when Alcide told Sookie he hoped they'd be a couple someday..(unexplored territory for future books?)
Favorite scene-Sookie's visit with the ailing Bill.
Character who fares the best-Sookie. She starts feeling better slowly and is making an effort to get her life back on track.
Biggest surprise-Alexi Romanov. Where did that come from? Also Claude being nicer and so kind to Hunter.
Best line in the book-"You won't keep Eric, either." Veerryy interesting!
Dissapointment-Nothing really. It was a good read!

What's you favorite part?
The growth of Eric and Sookie's relationship and having so much more stuff with Pam and Eric in this book.

What's your favorite scene?
When Pam takes Sookie to Eric's house and Sookie jumps into Eric's arms. Such a sweet, fun moment for them, not to mention Pam's sarcasm as well!

What character fairs the best in the book?
I think I saw the most emotional growth from Sookie in this book.

What was your biggest surprise?
Jason and Claude aren't total jerks, who knew? :D

Best line in book?
I'm tied between "F##k a zombie" and "If this is not true love, it's as close as anyone gets." and "And you are my wife, in the only way that matters to me."

Disappointment?
That I have to wait a whole year before I get the next book in this series.

I hate to say this but I didn't enjoy any part of this book. It was utterly boring and the writing reminded me of a first time writer. I really wished this series came to an end already. I know I'm mean but maybe I'll calm down after I've read it again but I feel like I want my money back before that happens.

UGHHH....
