At the age of 11, she became the second-youngest person to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress after her breakout role in the 1993 film The Piano. Following that early success, Paquin played several small roles in movies like She's All That, Hurlyburly and A Walk on the Moon before joining the cast of X-Men in 2000. After two more X-Men films, she switched to the small-screen in HBO's hit vampire show True Blood. Paquin reprised her role as waitress Sookie Stackhouse in the show's third season, which premiered on June 13.
