True Blod and HBO Streaming Service Coming Soon to iPad

You all know what Dallas thought about this ....YIPPEEEE

If you’re currently an HBO subscriber there is some good news for you today. HBO’s Co-president Eric Kessler, revealed today that HBO Go streaming TV and movie service will be available on the iPad.
With this announcement, HBO has claimed they will make shows and movies available online strictly via the HBO Go service. This means their online content will be available for your iPad, and many other mobile devices at no extra cost for existing network subscribers.
Today’s announcement has created a lot of tension between HBO and Netflix. It seems that a deal between both companies is very unlikely in the near future. Think of it for a second. HBO owns very successful and highly acclaimed TV shows like True Blood, The Sopranos, and many more. In addition, HBO holds cable and Internet rights to films from Universal, Fox and Warner Bros.
Just last week, Netflix announced their agreement to pay $900 million over five years for online rights to films from Paramount Pictures, Lions Gate Entertainment Group, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

True Blood Fashion : Southern Belle – Sookie Stackhouse

Okay, I know I am way way way way WAY behind schedule on TV series watching, but that’s only because I do NOT have Astro! Yes, it’s shocking I know! Not many people don’t have Astro. And another fact is that I don’t really watch TV. :) I do enjoy TV series and movies of course, but with movies you can watch it in the cinema, or get a DVD but with TV series, I usually have to wait for a decent copy before being able to watch it. Plus, I hate suspense! I can’t take it!     I don’t like waiting for 1 episode after another, I personally prefer marathons! :) Or at least TV & Movie marathons. The outdoors kind, not so much ya. :)

So enough babbling, here are we gonna talk about my current favourite TV series, True Blood! For those of you who haven’t seen, it’s basically a story about this girl Sookie Stackhouse and her boyfriend who is a vampire and basically all the fun supernatural things la! Watching the show, I cannot help but notice how Sookie always seem to have the most adorable outfits on! I love all her clothes! So here’s just a short idea on getting Sookie Stackhouse’s Southern Belle look!

Best True Blood ending EVER. EVER. EVER. EVE By Meredith Woerner

Team Talk Blood member Meredith Woerner review of ep 9 -you can listen to us talk about it last Sunday night by listening to the podcast ( blue box on right )

Last Sunday's True Blood took all the long-winded fang banter about vampire kings, vampire queens, magisters, vampire equality acts, and "authorities" and turned it into something interesting. From here on out, vampire politics cease to be boring! Some NSFW pics.
I've been accused before of being a bit of a "fangirl" when it comes to True Blood. Sorry haters, but this is going to be one of those times. Last night had the best conclusion in True Blood history. Plus, Ginger's back. But let's let the Pros and Cons do the talking shall we?
Pro: Eric soars in on the vampcam. He's like the wind, that one.

Pro: Eric lands in Fangtasia and Pam and I both freak out because, as she said, "You never panic! Should I be panicking?" The answer, yes. Everyone should be panicking.
Pro: Ginger is back, and looking slightly less beat as hell. Good for you girl.

Recap: True Blood, season 3, episode 9 – ‘Everything is Broken’ by Becca Wilcott

The wonderful Team Talk Blod member Becca Wolcott ..

On August 29, I’ll be appearing at Fan Expo on the horror panel about film and TV vampires. We’ll talk about everything from Nosferatu through to The Vampire Diaries. And when the inevitable question comes, that moment I’m asked for my opinion about the debate between sparkly vampires (Twilight) and mainstreaming vampires (True Blood), I’ll have this to say.
“Why would we seek equal rights? You are not our equals! We will eat you after we eat your children!”
And then I’ll clap my hands together and peel back in gleeful laughter as if I’ve been waiting 3000 years to tell it like it is. In short, Russell Edgington, I bow to thee. And, I hope someone’s keeping count. Because I believe that was our first spine-ripping-out, correct? That’s a new one?
Here’s the thing. That scene rocked for all the obvious reasons. But it resonated because it was really freakin’ messed up. Oh, sure you say you like vampires. They cry blood and worry that your new girlfriend’s doll fetish is creepy and they moooooooourn you. (Best delivery ever, Franklin). And there are moments when I have to wonder if Denis O’Hare, who plays Russell, knows anything about vampire lore, because he hasn’t hit a typical note yet. He’s all minor, slightly off-key. As is James Frain as Franklin, come to think of it. I could be way off base. Maybe they’ve been digging vamps since they were little boys. But it’s all to say that not unlike Alan Ball, who hadn’t immersed in vampire culture when he took on True Blood, Denis O’Hare is playing straight megalomaniac. He’s reinventing crazy. Thank god for that procedural scene in which Nan Flanagan grills Eric to recap why Russell is such a threat to the American Vampire League (AVL.) Not that we’d forgotten, but one more episode and between Russell and Franklin I’m pretty sure most of us would have willingly submitted ourselves to Stockholm Syndrome if it meant we could bask another moment in their charisma and enthusiasm for their own kind.

'The Vampire Diaries' prequel novel: An exclusive cover peek

While Damon from The Vampire Diaries is busy tearing up the polls in EW’s official Sexy Beast competition, the show’s other bloodsucking protagonist is set to get a series of prequel books named after him. HarperCollins Children’s Books and Alloy Entertainment have announced that they will be releasing Stefan’s Diaries #1: Origins, the first in a planned trilogy of novels that will shed sunlight on the vampire brothers’ long, troubled history, including the Civil War-era romance that turned them against each other. The CW series, like fellow hyper-sexualized-neckbiter show True Blood, was based on a run of novels, and although it doesn’t appear that original author L. J. Smith will be penning this new trilogy, her creations have come full circle back into book form. The first entry of Stefan’s Diaries is scheduled to hit bookstores in November.
Fans of the show, what do you think? Will you still be gripped by the characters without all the brooding, occasionally shirtless eye-candy? How about those of you who read the original books?

Witch 'True Blood' character is Alan Ball conjuring up for season 4? by Michael Ausiello and Andy Patrick

Though this season of True Blood still has three episodes to go, I’ve already got scoopage on the next one: Long story short, it might as well be titled “Season of the Witch”!
Series creator Alan Ball reveals that he’ll be introducing Hallow Stonebrook, the were-sorceress from Charlaine Harris’ fourth Sookie novel, Dead to the World. Preferring to refer to the character as a necromancer, the boss man says she’s “actually a medium. She communicates with the dead, and she’s interested in developing further powers.”
In the book, Hallow casts a spell on Eric, so um, not sure what more desirable power there can be. Anyway, she’s described as a tall, trim brunette—or, to me, Juliet Landau, Buffy’s nutso Drusilla. But who do you see in the role? Below’s your casting couch. Have fun! (Additional reporting by Tim Stack)

On the cover of " The Rolling Stone:" The Joy of Vampire Sex: The Latest Issue of Rolling Stone

By Rolling Stone

The following is an excerpt of an article from the September 2, 2010 issue of Rolling Stone. This issue is available tomorrow on newsstands, and Friday, August 20th online via Rolling Stone's premium subscription plan.

Check out more sexy — and bloody — photos of the True Blood stars.

The idea of celibate vampires is ridiculous, True Blood creator Alan Ball says. "To me, vampires are sex," he says. "I don't get a vampire story about abstinence. I'm 53. I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed." On his show, every available orifice is used for intercourse: gay, straight, between humans and supernatural beings, and supernatural being on supernatural being, whether he be werewolf, dog or an enormous Minotaur-looking being called a maenad. None of the sex is quite as good as vampire sex, though, which can happen at the astonishing rhythm of 120 bpm while simultaneously devouring one's neck and making your eyes roll back into your head. Says Stephen Moyer — who plays Bill Compton, the undead Southern Civil War Veteran — "If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn't one before. It's a de-virginization — breaking the hymen, creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there's something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that's pretty sexy. I think that makes vampires attractive." He laughs a little. "Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?"

As for the content of the accompanying article, well, rest assured it’s in sync with the photo. On the topic of vampire sex, Moyer has this to offer:
“If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn’t one before. It’s a de-virginization–breaking the hymen, creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there’s something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that’s pretty sexy. I think that makes vampires attractive.” He laughs a little. “Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?”
