Charlaine Harris, author of the "Sookie Stackhouse" series of vampires-in-Lousiana novels, will visit Knoxville

Charlaine Harris, author of the "Sookie Stackhouse" series of vampires-in-Lousiana novels, will visit Knoxville for a reading 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14, according to her website. Her visit will be part of the WJXB-FM "Author Series."
The HBO series "True Blood" is based on Harris' novels about a mind-reading Louisiana waitress who falls in love with a charming vampire, amongst other otherworldly adventures.
The reading will be at Rothchild's Catering and Conference Center, 8807 Kingston Pike. Dr. Bill Bass will be the guest speaker.
VIP tickets are $40 per person for VIP seating and a hard cover copy of the new Sookie Stackhouse tale "Dead Reckoning" or $30 per person for VIP seating only.
