True Blood Recipes: Jason offers to make Hoyt his great Sloppy Joes - let's make some for dinner

Last night Jason offered to make Hoyt his excellent Sloppy Joes - I would imagine his recipe to be similar to this

Ingredients

1 pound extra-lean ground beef
1 2/3 cups onion, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
½ cup bottled chili sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
4-6 drops hot red pepper sauce
6 whole-wheat or mixed whole-grain hamburger buns

Directions
1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add turkey, onion and garlic and cook until meat is browned and onion is tender.
3. Stir in tomato sauce and all remaining ingredients.
4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for five minutes.
5. Serve on whole-wheat hamburger buns.

Louisiana Sloppy Joes
This is a little different ...with a southern flair.
A fantastic Sloppy Joe dish, which is even better when made a couple days in advance, and refrigerated to blend flavors!

Ingredients :
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (19 oz.) can Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken gumbo soup
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons dried Cajun seasoning
12 hamburger buns

Directions :
1. In skillet, cook ground beef, celery, bell pepper, and onion over medium high heat for 5-7 minutes, or until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
2. Return to skillet and reduce heat to medium.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients, except hamburger buns.
4. Cook additional 15-20 minutes, or until mixture is bubbly and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve immediately on hamburger buns
