Work ensures I never get much time on the sofa with wife and co-star Anna Paquin, says True Blood's Stephen Moyer

MANY modern couples are kept apart by their jobs – long hours, business travel and endless back-to-back shifts mean it’s not uncommon for family life to be reduced to passing ships in the night and text-message romance.
But few relationships will ever be as distant, and as geographically difficult as that of True Blood lovers Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin, who spend at least half of the year apart chasing movie work all over the world.
In fact, according to the charming Mr Moyer, the only time that he and his Kiwi-born wife actually get to spend any quality time together, is when they are on the True Blood set watching the other one in an undead sex scene with a co-star. And often while covered in sticky fake blood.
The Essex-born actor, who has become an international pin-up as southern gentleman vampire Bill Compton, is excited that he’s finally about to return to his day job on the HBO show after another busy, globe-trotting summer and autumn.
