Totally “In” In ‘09: Literal Vampires

* Dallas just slowly shakes her head*

OUT WITH 2008: People pretending to be vampires in True Blood & Twilight, pseudo-goth clothing associated with vampire subculture.

IN WITH 2009: Actual, literal vampires. As evidenced by these people from London’s Fashion Week:

I saw another vampire inspired fashion article last week. HERE

I'll just let you guys be your own judge on this ...

  1. My two cents;

    G-star raw show I would not say in any way "vamp culture" or critique. If you costumed a TV show or movie in that line - it would look more like the Matrix - or Aeon Flux. Not True Blood. Having the words True Blood in the show - or the by line of the event some how - draws in speculation because there was a "vampish" quality to some lines last fall.

    Now that London show.
    OMLF! LOL! OMG!
    So - using some corn syrup is the new stage theatric to save your shitty clothing line and "fashion" show?
    It looked like a bunch of crap from a thrift shop tossed on models that had been painted by the mentally ill staff of a HotTopic.

    Model - "Um - so, what do you want me to do?"

    Stage manager - " the usual model strut - but then take these blood squibs here - and do something edgy with um"

    Model - "edgy?"

    SM - " Yeah - you know, spit blood like the guys from KISS, or make out with another model with it in your mouths, act like your cutting your self like iggy pop..."

    Model - "so act like a teen age goth wanker?"

    SM - "Um, yeah, basically..."

    OR maybe that London show was the costume line up for a small stage musical production of Queen of the Damned - as if that wasn't butchered enough by the movie....
