True Blood theme Halloween party ideas from US magazine

Yummy -where is the Tequila ?

The Scene
The show's opening credits alone give plenty of visuals to draw inspiration from, celebrity party planner Jes Gordon tells UsMagazine.com.
Gordon, who has worked with Madonna and Sarah Jessica Parker, suggests changing bulbs to black or red ones. "It gives the entire ambiance a glamorous, vampire environment,” Gordon explains to Us.
Instead of floweres, fill vases with bouquets of branches. Then scatter votive or taper candles around the room (make sure the flames are at a safe distance away from the branches).

Drape sheer black fabric around the entryway or porch (stock up at a local fabric store). "The effect is haunting," says Gordon.
For the finishing touch, set the Bon Temps scene and play a CD of nature sounds (think chirping crickets and whistling wind).

Snacks and Drinks
Set up a monochromatic sweets bar for guests to sink their teeth into. Fill bowls, jars, and vases with red candies like jellybeans, Red Hots, wax lips and more.
Also, serve "just-bitten" red velvet cupcakes: Add two tear-shaped drops of red decorating gel to the tops. (For a ready-made bite-size version, check out Baked by Melissa ($37.50 for 50 mini-cupcakes).)

Then stock the bar with, what else, Tru Blood ($16 for four). The individually bottled blood-orange soda pairs well with orange vodka or reposado tequila.
Make your own Blood Red Margarita with Solerno Blood Orange Liquer created for Us by celebrity mixologist Charlotte Voisey.
Blood Red Margarita
