Queen Sophie Annes house is for sale ..

Wondering what to get me for the holidays this year? Here’s the perfect gift: Queen Sophie-Anne’s mansion from “True Blood.” The gorgeously ornate house with ocean views is easily my favorite set on the show because of its old-world decadence. And now the actual house is for sale. Sadly, the abode isn’t in Louisiana—it’s in Malibu—and it costs a pretty penny. Seventy-five million dollars to be exact. But hey, I’m worth it, right? Plus, the 20,000 square foot house comes complete with an indoor pool where I could swim laps and a lion sculpture found at the base of Mount Vesuvius. Now just get me Queen Sophie-Anne’s wardrobe and her ability to never age, and we’ll be good to go. [NY Post]

Location: Malibu, Calif.
Price: $75,000,000
The Skinny: How much does a Hollywood set cost? Well, if it's located on almost eight prime acres in Malibu and features 13 beds and 14 baths, quite a bit. Tack on the fact that it appeared in such modern cinema classics as Funny People, I Love You Man, and HBO's blood-sucking extravaganza, True Blood, and we're talking seriously expensive. At $75M, the listing was almost guaranteed to make that familiar sideways claim: "Considered by many to be one of the great estates in the world." On stats alone, this place has got the goods: 20,000 square feet, panoramic views of the Pacific, "saline and ozone" infinity pool, a massive greenhouse, and a 2,500-year-old lion found at the base of Mount Vesuvius. Er, yeah, in case the price tag wasn't a tip-off, this place is yet another temple to maximalism. Is it possible to spend $75M on a home and not get a bit too much?

Queen Sophie Anne dances the "Time Warp" with a " jump to the left and then a step to the right"

Last night, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, producer Lou Adler called in a few favors to get stars like Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Evan Rachel Wood, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, George Lopez, and Jorge Garcia (along with original cast members Barry Bostwick and Tim Curry) to perform in an all-star, Kenny Ortega–directed tribute to Rocky to benefit Paul Newman's Painted Turtle charity, which provides a camp for seriously ill children. After the show, we spoke with True Blood star Wood, who told us that her casting as Magenta in the Rocky tribute was something of a coincidence: "This was going to be my costume for Halloween, and then they asked me to do this," she said. "I can't believe this is my real hair."

But when will she get back to work on True Blood? we asked. "We're filming again in November, so I'm going to be back," she said. "It's one of the most fun shows I've ever worked on. I just want to know what happens." Then: "That set is just a love fest," said Wood, who last year was rumored to be seeing co-star Alexander Skarsgard. "I've even been there myself, so there you go. I did date one of the cast members already, so I'm done."

Still, she's not ruling anything out on the set of her next movie, George Clooney's Ides of March: "It's going to be amazing," she told us. "We're going to start shooting in February. My character gets herself into a bit of a predicament with a politician, who's played by Ryan Gosling, so I'm very excited. I've had a total crush on him forever."

Queen Sophie-Ann - Workplace Psychopath

Patty from IwanttowriteforTrueBlood Blog writes..

n the vampire world it seems that size matters - fang size. Going by the length of Queen Sophie-Ann's pointy teeth she is one powerful vamp.

Alan Ball has said of the Queen that “Nobody’s ever entirely happy to see her...She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.”

While her behaviour is certainly eccentric, she doesn't seem insane. What she definitely is is a psychopath (I'll leave it up to medical and legal professions to decide whether psychopaths are insane or not).

Psychopaths can be described as "generally highly destructive and manipulative individuals with dark sides who have no remorse for their actions..."

"They are typically only interested in power, control, domination and subjugation, and it is believed that female psychopaths are more dangerous than males as they are more socially skillful in their manipulation."

Actually, now I think back on it all of the girl vamps in True Blood have bigger fangs than the boys. Maybe in the TB universe vampires are like birds of prey where the female is bigger and stronger than the male.

Exclusive: 'True Blood's' Lesbian Vampire Queen Evan Rachel Wood Chats Up SheWired!

It’s been quite a week for HBO’s critical and ratings darling True Blood. First, Sunday’s Season 2 finale finally found a way to answer the question of how to kill maenad Maryann Forrester (Michelle Forbes) but then left us with a slew of new questions: What is Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin)? Who kidnapped vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer)? What’s going on with young lovers Hoyt (Jim Parrack) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll)? And for LGBT fans of the show, will we see more of Evan Rachel Wood’s lesbian vampire queen Sophie Anne?

Then, on Monday series creator/writer/director Alan Ball revealed to Entertainment Weekly that next summer’s third season will feature more vampire royalty when we meet the vampire King of Mississippi (the recently cast Denis O’Hare, Milk) who will share scenes with Wood.

And if the week of True Blood news wasn’t enough, ratings for the finale were up 100 percent compared with the Season 1 capper, but down slightly from the penultimate episode of Season 2. Still, the 5.1 million viewers is nothing to turn your nose up at considering the show airs on pay cabler HBO.

Go Ask Dallas " What the hell did Sophie- Anne tell Bill about how to kill the Maenad ?

Dear Dallas, What did Sophie-Anne tell Bill about how to kill Mary Anne the maend ? Thanks, M

Well, M here is the text from the 2 exchanges that Sophie- Anne and Bill have about killing the maenad. Maybe this will help you sort through what Sophie Ann says ..and I get this feeling she might not be telling " William" everything ....

BC: I need to know how to kill a maenad.

SA: A maenad? In Bon T
emps? That's random.

BC: Yes. She seems to have caused some sort of mass hypnosis. The whole town has devolved a primitive state in a matter of days.

SA: Oh, my, she's an old one. Well, they're all old. Relics.

BC: Ancient Greece, correct?

SA: Before that even. Orgies, sacrifice? Cannibalism?

BC: We suspect.

SA: Fun.

BC: So how do I kill
it?

SA: You can't. She's convinced herself she's immortal and so she is.
William, surely you know that everything that exists imagined itself into existence.

BC: I'm not entirely familiar with that theory, no.

SA: Think about it. You're a wild young girl who's married to some jerk who treats you like property and is also fucking some 14-year-old boy. And along comes this religion, which encourages you to get hammered, run naked through the woods, have sex with whoever, or whatever, and it's all part of getting closer to God.

BC: I could see how that would have its appeal, especially to humans with their tendency tow
ards Puritanism.

SA: Exactly. So you're fucking everybody in the dirt.
Why not kill something and eat it raw? Hey, you're super extra pious. There's nothing you can't do, and each time you do it just brings you one step closer to the divine.

BC: Isn't that delusional?

SA: Never underestimate the power of blind faith. It can manifest in ways that bend the laws of physics or break them entirely.

BC: I bit her and it poisoned me. Of course it did.

SA: We can only drink human blood, and she's no longer even remotely human.

BC: But she started out as human.

SA: Hello. Evolution? We started out that way too. Less than two hours till dawn. Shall we have sex? Kidding. I haven't enjoyed sex with men since the Eisenhower administration.

BC: I really ought to get back to...

SA: Nonsense. Sookie's not in any trouble. You would know it

Then later during Yatzhee

SA: Maenads are sad silly things. The world changed centuries ago and they're still waiting for the God Who Comes.

BC: Does he ever come?

SA: Of course not. Gods never actually s

BC: If I can't kill her, how do I get her to leave Bon Temps?

SA: She has to believe that she's successfully summoned forth Dionysus...in hope that he will...ravish her, quite literally devour her, until she's lost into oblivion.

BC: So she seeks...death...the true death. The one thing she's evolved beyond.

SA: Ironic, isn't it? You know, they're really not that smart, these maenads.

BC: So how does she summon this nonexistent god of hers?

SA: I never said he was nonexistent. I just said he never comes. She believes if she finds the
perfect vessel, sacrifices and devours part of him or her while surrounded by the magic of her familiars, then her mad god will appear. At that point, when she willingly surrenders herself to him...

BC: That's the only point she can be killed.

SA: Who's the smartest boy in class.

BC: The perfect vessel... human?

SA: They prefer supernatural beings.

BC: The two-natured.

SA: Shifters, yes. And Weres. Fortunately, they show little interest in us.
Something about our hearts not beating. But they'll try any other being that straddles the two worlds.

BC: As long as it has a beating heart.

SA: You have to remember, they've been trying for centuries. They're constantly improvising their recipes in hopes of finding that one magic element that will make it all happen. Idiots. Excuse me.

Got it now ? No , I don't either

Evan Rachel Wood: Vampire Queen

from TV Guide

No longer the sullen teen of Once & Again or gothed-out girlfriend of Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood is all grown up—and glammed up—as True Blood’s vampire queen, Sophie-Anne Leclerq. That so doesn’t bite.

We hear Sophie-Anne is gonna get down with someone in Bon Temps.
[Laughs] No! I don’t know how that got out, and I don’t want people tuning in and being disappointed. It’s not a sex scene; it’s just a steamy scene. There’s a little something going on with somebody you don’t expect.

How old is she?
I’ve heard somewhere between 500 and 1,000 years old. And she’s spoiled—she’s a queen—so she’s decked out in the best clothes and the best jewelry. She’s incredibly smart and witty, but she is definitely deadly.

Is she heroic?
You don’t know if she’s good or bad. I think she’s a little bit of both.

Does she have any weaknesses?
None that I know of, but you know, everybody does. I was gonna say she’s only human, but she’s not! [Laughs]

Now who would you rather bite, Eric or Bill?
I’m gonna say Eric.

This is a big change for you.
It’s gonna be another side of me that people have never quite seen. I think it’s the role I was born to play.

STYLE EXCLUSIVE: Fashion Fit for True Blood's Vampire Queen

From Chris at RadarOnline

While most of you are looking forward to September 13 for the dramatic finale of True Blood, we're still stuck on Sunday's amazing reveal of Queen Sophie-Ann.

The delicious Evan Rachel Wood plays the scheming, lady-loving ruler of southern vamps--and does so in drop dead garb. RadarOnline.com got to the bottom of costume designer Audrey Fisher's vision for the undead royal.

We first meet Wood snacking on her female lover in a floor-length gold dust gown by Les Habitudes with cascading embroidery, heels by Bebe and rhinestone watch by Figaro Couture.

And talk about a high/low combo--the dramatic drop earrings that look as though the Queen raided them from an Elizabethan pop-up are only $65, from Carloee, available at Lord & Taylor.

For her second look, and our personal favorite, Sophie-Ann sports a tongue-wagging pool ensemble: throwback bathingsuit by Norma Kamali, robe by Jonquil, bust broach a vintage Pauline Trigere and DSquared heels.

'True Blood' Sneak Peek! Here's What We Know About Evan Rachel Wood's Queen (Hint: She Prefers Women!)

This is what MTV knows -we know more i'll post more this weekend to get us ready

A single, blood-streaked leg was the first hint we got of Evan Rachel Wood's vampire queen of Louisiana during the closing moments of this week's "True Blood" episode. Whether the appendage belonged to Queen Sophie-Anne or a puncture-marked human, we can't say for sure, but we have uncovered a few tidbits about the bloodsucking queen whom Bill turns to, to rid Bon Temps of trouble-making Maryann.

Sink your teeth into these fangtastic facts as you patiently (or not so patiently) wait for next week's episode.

She favors female flesh
A steamy sexy scene is a rite of passage for any "True Blood" cast member, and Evan is no exception. Though her major moment will be a little different than most. "It's with a girl," the 22-year-old revealed to Newsweek. "I don't think vampires are really gay or straight," she added. "I think she just prefers women." Should we start taking bets as to which "True Blood" babe she beds?

She may be a vampire queen, but she'd never be voted homecoming queen.
“Nobody’s ever entirely happy to see her character," series creator Alan Ball told EW . “She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane." Hopefully she's no worse than Maryann, or else Bon Temps will be fixin' for even more drama.

She's got some serious style
Sophie-Anne's had 500 years to hone her fashion sense, and from the looks of the photo above, she's perfected it swimmingly. The bloodsucker looks downright delicious lounging by the pool in an ivory halter one-piece with her cat-eye shades and tidy red waves. We're dying to see what other '50s glam pieces emerge from her sure-to-be cluttered closet.

She's a woman with a plan
What was billed as a two-episode arc seems to have increased, as several sources are reporting Evan will return for season 3. It's not clear what she'll be doing, but Alan Ball revealed that she "has more than one secret agenda." Perhaps a few Charlaine Harris fans can clue us in?

In the meantime, click play on the clip below to hear more about Evan's queenly role from the vamp herself.

True Blood's Hadley Hale is Lindsey Haun

Sookie 's cousin Hadley is the actress and musician Lindsey Haun and you can read about here experiences on her MySpace page

First of all, True Blood! Sooooo… our guitar player, Sarah Carter, was on episode 2 of this season, season 2, with her other band Rocket!! The episode is called “Get This Party Started” and Rocket is the back up band for the Christian rock singer chick. it’s pretty funny… and kinda wrong actually… in a good way. But wait there’s more!!! I, Lindsey Haun, will be on the last 2 episodes of the season! well actually, technically, 3. We shot about 3 weeks ago and it was amazing! I LOVE Alan Ball and the directors i got to work with, Michael Cuesta and Daniel Minahan! The crew was so incredibly nice and professional and hard working. What a treat to be on that set! I can’t tell you much because i don’t want to give the story away but i can tell you that i play Hadley Hale, Sookie Stackhouse’s (Anna Paquin) cousin. I got to work with Stephan Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, and drum roll please… Evan Rachel Wood. i can’t tell you who she plays but i can tell you that she’s awesome! They’re all awesome! Anyway, i really want to work with all of them again so please watch the show and tell them that you want me on it more! lol!

Casting call for the role was :

Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) cousin, this fresh-faced 20 something year old country girl is locked in a steamy clinch with the vampire queen (Evan Rachel Wood). The dazed Hadley has been seduced into a whole other world — but she still feels the pull of her human roots.

We never meet Hadley alive in the books, though we do see her in a ecto plasmic reconstruction so this will be fun.

An original musical film, Across The Universe is a fictional love story set in the 1960s amid the turbulent years of anti-war protest, the struggle for free speech and civil rights, mind exploration and rock and roll. At once gritty, whimsical and highly theatrical, the story moves from high schools and universities in Massachusetts, Princeton and Ohio to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Detroit riots, Vietnam and the dockyards of Liverpool. A combination of live action and animation, the film is paired with many songs by The Beatles that defined the time

Cast announcement for True Blood: Lindsey Haun

from Phillyburbs ( who we like because they think we are one of the best True Blood/ Sookie blogs around)

Actress and musician Lindsey Haun will be joining the True Blood cast for a few episodes later this season. You might recognize her–she’s done lots of TV work in the past–but I’d be shocked to hear it.

Regardless, she’s quite pumped to do her thing on TB. Here’s what it says on the Lindsey Haun MySpace page:

“Sooooo… our guitar player, Sarah Carter, was on episode 2 of this season, season 2, with her other band Rocket!! The episode is called “Get This Party Started” and Rocket is the back up band for the Christian rock singer chick. it’s pretty funny… and kinda wrong actually… in a good way. But wait there’s more!!! True Blood's Queen Sophie Anne: For Evan Rachel Wood, 'Whatever Works'

From Pottstown Mercury

Evan Rachel Wood excited to be lesbian Vampire in True Blood

Beautiful and talented 21-year-old actress/singer Evan Rachel Wood is quite excited to be playing role of a 400-year-old bloodsucking queen for hit U.S. TV drama True Blood. It seems in the episode she’ll be in a steamy sex scene with a girl !

Rachel Wood says “I don’t think vampires are really gay or straight. I think she just prefers women.” Evan Rachel Wood thinks she’s perfect for the because she has a vampire complexion.

The former girlfriend of goth rocker Marilyn Manson, who plays the character of the queen says she’s sure she’ll become a hit among the make-up team, reports Contactmusic.

She sys: “Make-up is gonna love me because I’ve got the skin for it; they don’t have to put white make-up on me - to look like a vampire - because I never go in the sun.”

The actress added: “I can’t wait to get fitted for the fangs. I’ll probably steal the fangs when I’m done.” The drama stars real-life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer as lovers caught up in a vampire war.

The lighter (and darker) side of Evan Rachel Wood

Vampire or girl next door? The actress keeps us guessing in two new roles.

By Gayle Jo Carter

Suddenly, she's everywhere. This week, Evan Rachel Wood shows off her lighter side in the new Woody Allen comedy "Whatever Works." (Says "Variety": "Wood handles ... her improbably Daisy Mae-ish character with surprising finesse.") And on the small screen, the actress is set to appear as a vampire on HBO's dark drama "True Blood."
Evan Rachel Wood and Henry Cavill star in Woody Allen's "Whatever Works," opening in some cities this week.

Despite her newfound ubiquity and repeated critical acclaim in small, piercing dramas such as last year's "The Wrestler," Wood, 21, is best known for her notably strange relationships with much older oddballs Marilyn Manson and Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke. We asked her about those, and more. Excerpts:

You've been labeled as dark and rebellious.
I'm just being me. People think I'm edgy, but I'm not.

Evan Rachel Wood Tells Us About Her True Blood Lesbian Vampire Queen

As promised, Movieline hit up the Young Hollywood Awards last night, a ceremony dedicated to honoring Tinseltown’s best and brightest (and youngest!). We witnessed heartfelt acceptance speeches and a knockout performance by Naturi Naughton from the upcoming Fame remake before moving on to a DJ AM-spun afterparty that Young Hollywood Artist of the Year Adam Lambert prefaced with, “I hope somebody buys me a drink.” No need, Adam — they were free!

First up in our series of red carpet video interviews from the event is Evan Rachel Wood, who was receiving the Young Hollywood Superstar award (presented by Patricia Clarkson) but took the time to talk to Movieline about her splashy season two performance as the vampire queen of True Blood, a role she’d been unable to discuss until now.

Find out about her take on the character and her impending lesbian love interest in the video
