We know Alan Ball has said he will be basing each season of True Blood on a Sookie Stackhouse book, therefore Season 4 will be based on book four which is " Dead to the World"
This is the book when Sookie does "hook up" with the amnesic Eric.
Wikipedia plot summary :
Throughout all these chaotic events, Sookie and amnesiac Eric’s relationship grows, and they begin a sexual affair. Sookie is physically and emotionally attracted to this gentle and caring Eric. Sookie is happy to be with Eric, a man who has told her she was beautiful, and who had not only given her sexual pleasures, but also had held her and laughed with her. He starts calling her “lover” and they admit to each other that they have feelings towards one another. This Eric even offers to Sookie that he will stay with her forever, to work and help her, and he tells her that she will never be poor.
The novel reaches its climax when the Shreveport pack, the Area Five’s vampires and the local Wiccans fight together against Hallow and her coven. The coven is defeated and Hallow is kept alive so she could un-hex Eric’s memory loss, and Pam kills her afterwards. But before Hallow can reverse the curse on Eric he and Sookie go back to her house to find Debbie Pelt waiting with a gun. Eric takes the bullet for Sookie who then kills Debbie. Eric discards her body once he has recovered from the gunshot wound. When Eric gets his memory back, he has no recollection of his time with Sookie.
Eventually, Sookie, Sam and Calvin Norris discover that Felton Norris (Calvin and Felton are both werepanthers from Hotshot) was keeping Jason captive because Felton is in love with Crystal and did not want to see Crystal with Jason. Felton has bitten Jason several times and Sookie is afraid that her brother will turn to a werepanther in the next full moon. Calvin decides to punish Felton and it is implied that Felton is killed.

What the hell ? How wrong could this stupid chart be ...???
This kind of ticks me off ( unless it's on purpose incorrect) because they are obviously setting up the reason for Bill being in Bon Temps, Sookie's unusual sparkly power, Sophie Anne's relationship with Hadley and and we understand way before we see them in the books we will meet Hunter and Cousin Claudine in this season of True Blood.
The information in this is just incorrect even according to True Blood
Problem #1 : Earl is not married to a Stackhouse, Earl's wife is Gran, who was Adele Hale. ( in a wider shot you can see Hale)
#2 Hadley's last name is NOT Stackhouse it's Delahoussaye in books
#3 Hunter's last name is also not Stackhouse it's Savoy
** of course Sookie's mother's last name and maternal grandparents are from True Blood and not found in the books

A very special True Blood vampire Nazi dinner party
The second episode of True Blood's third season was pretty heavy. Lots and lots of plot lines and new characters almost drowned the special Nazi vampire reveal. Almost, but not quite. Spoilers ahead.
Whew, this episode had a ton of junk in it. All of it was delightfully insane, but it was damn near impossible to keep up with. Thankfully, no matter how crazy things got, Eric's hungry vampire libido found a way to cut through the bullshit and hit you right where it matters most. In your crotch.
Pro: Some news: True Blood was renewed for a fourth season! Thank goodness our lives will all continue to have meaning.
Pro: Right where we left off from last week, Bill is ripping off the ears of werewolves with his teeth! Ah, Bill you maniac, you.

Meet True Blood‘s Vampire King of Mississippi
Bon Temps is getting a taste of royalty this season on True Blood — or better yet, royalty is getting a taste of Bon Temps.
With the evil machinations of Maryann coming to a gruesome and goring end in the season 2 finale, the role of outright evildoer was left glaringly vacant.
Despite all the fang-flashing and glowering (mixed with a generous amount of carnal blood-sucking) they are prone to, the blood-lusters of Bon Temps can’t seem to shake that annoying habit called humanity.
In fact, Godric — the oldest and most powerful vampire that viewers had been introduced to — seemed to have come full circle, showing more compassion and understanding than most of the human characters and ultimately choosing to sacrifice himself in the name of human-vampire relations.

We all know Layfette is thisclose to hooking up with True Blood newbie Kevin Alejandro (Jesus), but did you know that it's like real love and stuff? "Lafayette don't spend time on flings," Nelsan Ellis tells us. "They come and then they go, but this character, Jesus, he's been with for about two weeks. That's a lifetime for Lafayette, and he has deep, deep feelings for Jesus." Adds Kevin: "You'll see me throughout the season all the way 'til the end so whatever happens after that, we'll see." And a big prize pony to anyone who guessed that we'd be seeing some steamy scenes between these two. When asked if he'll be getting nude this season, Kevin tells me: "Yeah, there's been enough. Not to the extreme, but there's been enough. You'll see it happen."

As a matter of fact, Kristin Bauer (Pam) says there are big things ahead for the scene stealer. "We get more sides of Pam," she promises. "Her relationship with Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) is really explored, which is incredibly fun because it's a father-daughter relationship." Really? Did anyone else catch that vibe? Hmmm! Pam's also "very involved in the politics of the vampire world this year, and that's another fun thing because we see her at the hierarchy of these different vampires." Still, Alexander Skarsgård reminds us: "Eric is still at the top when it comes to Bon Temps--or at least he thinks he is."

A graphic oral sex scene in cult vampire TV drama True Blood had to be axed because cameras couldn't get close enough to the action.
Show regular Stephen Moyer reveals he and real-life lover Anna Paquin were game to get the vampire/human sex session on film, but it technically wasn't possible.
He explains, "My character would have had his head between Anna's character's legs. It was scrapped because of technical difficulty getting the shot with the number of camera set ups they had planned - as opposed to because it was too graphic."
True Blood-Bath: Vampires! They Die Just Like Us!
Oh yeah, about those werewolves. I’m not sure how frightening they’re actually supposed to be considering that every time one appears on screen it’s getting its ass kicked by a vampire. The episode begins with the image of Bill with a bloody wolf ear in his mouth. He’s surrounded by so many bodies sprawled out, crying in agony, that it rivals only an average World Cup soccer match, only here, Bill’s red card would have been fully earned. (Come to think of it, I would love to hear how Bill Compton would pronounce “Kaká.”) The episode ends with Eric about to tear apart a werewolf. And, in between, there’s a flashback to Eric and his maker, Godric, in Nazi Germany, as an S.S., killing the “were-bitch” (I swear to you, this is how the credits list that character’s name). At this point I think I’d be less afraid of True Blood’s werewolves than I would be of the Shmoo or Blinky the Pac-Man ghost breaking into my apartment.

Theo "Talbot"Alexander: I don't like the word 'villain'
And after a series of Brenda Dickson-esque scenes, it became clear that the happy homemaker shares more than just immortality with Martha Stewart. He's also a whizz in the kitchen (blood sorbet, anyone?), has a flair for decor and, according to actor Theo Alexander, is dynamite in the sack.
But Martha isn't the only famous face Talbot shares some DNA with according to Theo. I got the answer to that bold faced conundrum in addition to learning how he snagged the role and approached a (possible) sex scene with Alexander Skarsgard.
PopWrap: How did you get hired to play Talbot?
Theo Alexander: This part was out for a British actor, but my agent thought I would do a great job with it. He was a very Dionysian, very sexual, very Greek! It couldn’t be anything but Greek in my eyes. So my agent called the casting director and they really wanted a British actor, but they said, "please, just see him – he’s perfect." So I went to the audition dressed in my kimono, in character and walk in on a room of 16 people – including Alan Ball, so I’m shaking. The casting director says, this is Theo, he’s Italian. So I turn to her as Talbot, and say, “excuse me, I’m Greek!” and that propelled me into the character. Talbot would have said that, he likes to speak his mind.

No surprise here: HBO has renewed True Blood for a fourth season, to debut in summer 2011.
The news comes just one week after the hit vampire saga kicked off its third season to near-record ratings.
“The new season of True Blood is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics,” enthused HBO president Michael Lombardo in a statement. “We’re looking forward to more chills from Alan Ball and his gifted team next year.”
Added exec producer Alan Ball: “I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew. This is the most fun I have ever had.”
True Blood: Beautifully Broken With Shelby Lynne
Alan Ball was known for his masterful use of music in Six Feet Under. He's lost none of his touch when it comes to his current HBO series, True Blood - which happens to be set in the Louisiana swamps, not terribly far from Houston.
Season 3 of True Blood is living up to its own hype fairly well, and even though Gothtopia had some deep misgivings about the music when we saw the episode titles list for this season, thus far, we have nothing to complain about.
Reduced down to almost its lowest common denominator, True Blood is about relationships. You'll find the books filed under paranormal romance in many stores. And though the first episode set us up to contemplate the dangers of relationships, and whether or not we are tainted by them, Episode 2 ("Beautifully Broken"), addresses the other side pf that equation.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) continues to hunt for her missing fiancé Vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer). In doing so, she is incurring the wrath of a sect of secretive Nazi werewolves. (Aside: This episode features a pop-culture cameo by having an appearance by a werewolf woman of the SS. Make the movie, Zombie, and don't argue. End aside.)

'True Blood': World War II -- now with 90% more vampires
I mentioned last week that I like "True Blood" more and more the farther it gets from its central conceit: that of a human woman and vampire man falling in love. I found the show's first season, which focused on this relationship to an absurd degree, only fitfully interesting. The second season, which expanded the number of characters and settings the show would visit, was more fun for me, but I still wasn't fully on board with the show as a whole, finding certain elements of the season (particularly anything involving Michelle Forbes) to be several steps too far. The reason I'm liking Season 3 so far has everything to do with how the show has split up its central couple (while keeping them "together," for the Bill and Sookie fans) but also with how it's getting into some pretty bizarre notions of, like, vampire feudalism or something.

Mariana Klaveno sinks her teeth into "True Blood"
LOS ANGELES (Back Stage) - The white-hot HBO series "True Blood" has exploded into the pop-culture arena over the past two years, fueling the international vampire obsession.
But unlike its "Twilight" counterpart, "True Blood" isn't afraid to show the sizzlingly sexy and graphically violent, placing it at the decidedly grown-up end of the blood-sucking spectrum.
Since the beginning of the series, actor Mariana Klaveno has been in some of the grisliest and steamiest scenes of them all -- as Lorena, the vampire who turned Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) into Vampire Bill during the Civil War and who continues to fight with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) for his love. The role has required Klaveno, whose brooding, feline beauty seems to effortlessly morph from charming to cruel in a flash, to flesh out a character who relishes in the bloodsport of being a vampire, unlike Bill. And though she's a true villain in the fictional Southern setting of Bon Temps, La., Lorena is driven by an unrequited love, making her unexpectedly relatable.
As the series returns for its third season, Klaveno talked to Back Stage about the freedom of embodying a supernatural being, avoiding the urge to Google herself, and why she held onto her restaurant job through the second season.
