True Blood and Vampire Diaries stars tell us their favorite scary movies !

For True Blood'Rutina Wesley, her fear of spiders is nothing compared to being on set this past season.

“It was scary being on set with some of the animals,” said Wesley, who noted that ArachnophobiaFriday the 13th and Psycho gave her the creeps. “They were gentle as can be but just the fact that you’re on with hybrid wolves is a little scary.”

But what gives Wesley’s co-star Sam Trammell nightmares?

“Something like Paranormal I haven’t even seen the end of,” Trammell said. “That kind of thing is really scary so I watch it in pieces. I love Dario Argento. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is still horrifying to me because it’s so faux-documentary, it’s so scrappy, it’s horrifying.”

True Blood actress Kristin Bauer’s fears are slightly more realistic.

“When I had the fight scene with Stephen Moyer [Bill] I really just had to go for it and snarl and make guttural sounds that felt so ridiculous,” she said. “Every time they said cut, I said, “Really? Do I look ridiculous?’ That was the scariest day. Stephen helped me through it.”

Nina Dobrev, who plays two characters on The Vampire Diaries, says that’s nothing compared to her fear of blood.

“Ironically enough, I’m very squeamish when it comes to blood,” said Dobrev, who noted that The Ring and the Saw movies “terrify” her. “Even on set, there was a scene I had to do where I cut my wrist on camera and it took every little bit of energy and strength that I had because your veins are so exposed. Every person is so fragile and it’s so easy to get hurt, it just freaks me out.”

Her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder agrees with Featherston on Candyman.

“I don’t watch that much scary stuff now, but when I was a kid the Freddy Krueger movies and Candyman used to scare the s*** out of me,” he said. “We’re adults now and it still holds up.”

Last night, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, producer Lou Adler called in a few favors to get stars like Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Evan Rachel Wood, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, George Lopez, and Jorge Garcia (along with original cast members Barry Bostwick and Tim Curry) to perform in an all-star, Kenny Ortega–directed tribute to Rocky to benefit Paul Newman's Painted Turtle charity, which provides a camp for seriously ill children. After the show, we spoke with True Blood star Wood, who told us that her casting as Magenta in the Rocky tribute was something of a coincidence: "This was going to be my costume for Halloween, and then they asked me to do this," she said. "I can't believe this is my real hair."

But when will she get back to work on True Blood? we asked. "We're filming again in November, so I'm going to be back," she said. "It's one of the most fun shows I've ever worked on. I just want to know what happens." Then: "That set is just a love fest," said Wood, who last year was rumored to be seeing co-star Alexander Skarsgard. "I've even been there myself, so there you go. I did date one of the cast members already, so I'm done."

Still, she's not ruling anything out on the set of her next movie, George Clooney's Ides of March: "It's going to be amazing," she told us. "We're going to start shooting in February. My character gets herself into a bit of a predicament with a politician, who's played by Ryan Gosling, so I'm very excited. I've had a total crush on him forever."

Vampire Sex !

Ladies and gentlemen of consenting age, an announcement: Traditional forms of lovemaking are out. Vampire sex is in.

From television (HBO's "True Blood," The CW's "Vampire Diaries," ABC's "The Gates") and movies (the oh-so-profitable "Twilight" series) to literature (Google "vampire books," get approximately 44,900,000 results), vampires and their signature form of sex have sunk their teeth into pop culture (apologies) in a major way.

It's even bled into (sorry, again) entities outside the vampire oeuvre. Ted Danson's character dabbled in vampire role-play in a recent episode of HBO's "Bored to Death;" Kanye West raps "I've gotta feel you, bite your neck to get

Ryan Kwanten cooks Italian Osso Bucco on MARTHA STEWART SHOW

Make no bones about it, Martha was smitten in the kitchen during today’s bone-themed edition of THE MARTHA STEWART SHOW (Hallmark Channel, 10 AM ET/9 AM C – same day encore airing, 2 PM ET/next day airing, 1 PM ET) when True Blood's steamy  star   stopped by to prepare a traditional Italian Osso Bucco dish. Although Ryan wasn’t stripped down to his usual bare bones today, as is the case on the set of his hit HBO series, he definitely sent chills up Martha’s spine!

While chatting about Ryan’s new bone-tingling movie, “Red Hill”, Martha repeatedly uttered “you look really good”, and well, he did! Ryan felt very comfortable, as if Martha had invited him over to her house for dinner. Once she got Ryan to take his hands out of his pockets, Martha assured him she’d have him do something that “makes your hands messy.” “Get me dirty!”- he fired back.

Soundbites from Ryan’s segment are pasted below and a photo of Martha and Ryan cooking Osso Bucco is attached. Credit: David Russell/The Martha Stewart Show.
