The Vampire Flashbacks Of Our Undead Lives. Plus The Best Thing You've Ever Seen
I'm really picky about what recaps and reviews I read and even more so about what what I post but I always like io9 Meredith Woerner's "Pro and Cons"
This week was A LOT of talking on True Blood. Gabby vampires, talky humans... there was hardly any sex at all. But never fear: we've have a BIG surprise for you guys in this review, check it out. Spoilers below...
So how do you compete with last weeks amazing vampire lounge lizard moment? Easy, Melrose Place it up. This week was all feelings, elaborate costumes and tears, bloody tears. I enjoyed it, but I feel like we're moments away from the good stuff, and I can't wait to see Godric and his frat buddies unleashed on these Christian vampire haters (seriously Godric looked like the morning remnants from a Jersey Shore party, tribal arm tatt included, and after I said he looked neat a few weeks ago... Tsk, tsk.)
But I'm getting ahead of myself... onward, to the Pros and Cons of True Blood.
Con: Not even threatening the death of my beloved puppy boy can make me interested in the done-to-death sex parties. Maryann, you need a new shtick, and fast. But on the other hand, it did give us this...

True Blood Sucker Punch: Episode 7 from Mark Blankenship
Our friend Mark Blankenship's episode 7 review on Huffington Post ( hilarious )
Note: This post contains spoilers
Welcome to Sucker Punch, the only blog post that ranks the gaudiest moments on this week's episode of True Blood.
---
(We begin with an argument already in progress)
Are you serious True Blood? Are you really going to spring Godric on me in the last moment of Episode 7 ("Release Me") and then cut to the credits? Don't you realize that I have to wait an entire week to see what happens next? God! Why are you... it's just... selfish!
Oh... hey everyone. Sorry. True Blood and I are having a lovers' quarrel. I mean, we've been dating for a while, and even though he's not the perfect boyfriend---Don't you roll your eyes at me! You're not!---um, anyway, even though he's not the perfect boyfriend, we usually get along great. But then he pulls this crap, where he teases me with things I love---chocolate covered peanuts, flavored seltzer, the long-awaited emergence of a vampire sheriff---and then hides them for days. It's mean, and I hate it. That's why I acted like I forgot his birthday last year.
You heard me! I was pretending I forgot! How did you like it? Wait... what? You're walking away? Where are you... ? I can't leave! I'm talking to these...
Okay. I'll deal with him in a second. Sorry.
The point is, this week's episode had some character inconsistencies, but in the end, it gave me an hour of zippy entertainment.
Like, I have to applaud when Hoyt seduces Jessica by decorating her hotel room with blood-scented candles and playing "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis. "Bleeding Love!" Even if Jessica were human, that's the exact song a softie like Hoyt would play for her. But because it mentions blood, he probably thinks cranking it on the stereo makes him extra smooth. Can't you just imagine a rack of "Bleeding Love" CD singles in the vampire hotel gift shop, and Hoyt buying one with a shy little grin? That's exactly who he is.

True Blood Season 2 Possible Title Song: Ep. 7 'Release me'
This is exciting ! We now (might) know the titles of the first 7 episodes of True Blood for Season 2.
Now the one thing we know about True Blood is that the episode names come from the a song used in in the soundtrack of that episode and that it is somehow significant to that episode.
Episode 2.01 - Nothing but the Blood
Episode 2.02 - Keep this Party Going
Episode 2.03 - Changed to Scratches from Scratch My Back
Episode 2.04 - Changed to Shake and Fingerpop from Let's Take a Trip Together
Episode 2.05 - Never let me Go
Episode 2.06 - Friend is a Four Letter Word
All we know about Season 2 spoilers, casting calls etc. can be found here
We know the amazing Gary Calamar puts great effort into musically curating True Blood !

"Release Me" is a popular song by Eddie Miller, Robert Yount, and Dub Williams, published in 1946. Miller wrote the song in 1946 but could not get anyone to record it for years, so he recorded it himself in 1953. Shortly afterward it was covered by Jimmy Heap, and with even better success by Ray Price and Kitty Wells.
Subsequently a big seller was recorded by Little Esther Phillips (#1 on the R&B and pop charts) and the song was also taken to #4 on the pop charts (and #1 in the UK) by Engelbert Humperdinck.
The song has the distinction in the UK of holding the number one slot in the chart for six weeks during March and April 1967, and preventing The Beatles single, "Penny Lane" / "Strawberry Fields Forever", from reaching the top."Release Me" was also the highest selling single of 1967 in the UK, recording over one million sales.
Lyrics
Please release me let me go
for I don't love you anymore
to waste our lives would be a sin
release me and let me love again.
I have found a new love dear
and I will always want her near
her lips are warm while yours are cold
release me my Darling let me go.
Please release me can't you see
you'd be a fool to cling to me
to live a lie would bring us pain
release me and let me love again
