Thanks so much to all our great guest reviewers from this past season.

Thanks to Mark Blankenship, Andy Swist, Brian Juergenson, Meredith Woerner !

Thanks to all of our fan forum "Buzz Reporters " you guys represented lots of great fans on these sites and gave folks an idea of how great being involved with one of the fan groups can be and in my opinion it's the only way to stay sane for 9 months.

Thanks to the lovely @SookieBonTemps - you are a great friend and you made doing the shows so much fun!

The special announcement tonight was that Sookie and I have decided to keep the radio show going during the season 2 hiatus. We are taking off a week or two to regroup but we will be back with a new shows soon.

Mississippi biting : Character on HBO's 'True Blood' may make trip to Jackson

From the Clarion Ledger ( MS)

....."I am working with the writers now, and we are creating the story arch," said Ball by phone. "Yes, the story will take place in Jackson."

Jackson is the setting for one plot twist that Ball plans to incorporate next season. Sookie will travel to Jackson to investigate the disappearance of her vampire boyfriend, Bill. She'll likely check out a Jackson nightclub called Club Dead frequented by vampires and shapeshifters. And viewers will meet Russell Edgington, the vampire king of Mississippi.

Mara Mikialian, of HBO, said there have been no discussions about whether the show will film in Mississippi. Season 3 episodes haven't been written, but Ball said he hopes to capture the authenticity of Harris' books.

"I grew up in a small town in Georgia," he said. "I sometimes see a cartoon version of the South portrayed. The authenticity is certainly something we try to maintain on the show."

Smart Vampires Blend In

By Dr. Katherine Ramsland

Recently, a network reporter asked me about members of the vampire subculture and we looked up and down the street “to see if any vampires were nearby.” I had to smile. For all we knew, it was the camera guy or the young woman keeping notes. Maybe it was the reporter. It’s not as if there’s a clear signal, like picking a mime out of a crowd, but many people believe there is.

I’m often asked if I can spot a vampire. Likewise, I’m often asked if I can spot a psychopath. These questions are related because my experience with both populations has shown me this: the clever ones avoid detection. Vampires, like psychopaths, can best feed off others by moving with the crowd. It’s tactical. They know that if they stand out, they’re less likely to get what they’re after.

There’s a lot of interest these days in both subjects, and with Internet access to the Psychopathy Checklist by means of which psychopaths are diagnosed, plenty of people think they can identify a psychopath on sight. In fact, certain TV anchors do it pretty often. But they probably don’t know what they’re talking about any more than when they ID some skinny, pale kid who dresses “Goth” as a vampire. Truthfully, such assessments are superficial and often based in silly stereotypes. While we’ve seen plenty of exhibitionists who claim to be vampires, as well as needy narcissists who publicly strut their stuff, in fact skillful members of either group can fool even the experts.
