“True Blood” Sucker Punch: Season 3, Ep. 7

I've already emailed Mark to ask him what size Texas Stetson hat I should send for him to eat...now remember he is  TV critic !

WE WILL be talking Sunday night on Talk Blood Radio about my belief that the debate about whether True Blood fans should be reading the books is OVER and that the script writing assumes much of the time that watchers have read the freaking books (Alan Ball in EVERY single interview certainly thinks you have ) and I certainly believe you get LOTS more out of True Blood,  if you have read the books than you lose! I can guarantee that!!!

I think I'll also put a copy of “Dead to the world “in the mail to him today.
Peru ( or the TB equivalent) here we come ! Haha

Team Talk Blood member , Mark Blankenship Sucker Punch for Ep 7

After delivering two exceptional segments in a row, True Blood comes closer to earth with “Hitting the Ground.” That’s not to say that the episode is bad—it’s really pretty good—but it does contains some frustrating elements.
And by “frustrating elements,” I mean, “this whole thing with Bill.”

Now in this very moment, I’m engaged with what’s happening to him. By viciously attacking Sookie in the back of that van—despite the fact that he seemed to be unaware of what he was doing—Bill has gotten himself ostracized from the human community that means so much to him. By helping Sookie kill Lorena (Bye-bye, diva! We’ll miss you!), he’s only furthering his alienation from his fellow vampires, whom he’s already been pissing off or avoiding for quite some time.
In other words, Bill has become a creature without a country.
And the show is suggesting this will make him an evil bastard. You noticed, I’m sure, that after drinking Sookie’s fairy blood (more on that in a minute), he is kinda-sorta impervious to sunlight. And then when Sookie is in magic fairy dreamland, her magic fairy bestie tells her that Bill is going to steal her light. And then dreamland gets dark.

True Blood serves vampire burritos at their naked Enya BBQ

From Team Talk Blood member,  Meredith Woerner !

Everyone brought their A-game to last night's True Blood, everyone. Questions were answered, light drinks were served, and Jason was finally back on his idiot A-Game. Small NSFW image.

What a night! For the first time in a long time I felt like True Blood managed to keep all the plot points in the air without smashing juggling balls into the audience. Probably because they felt like it was ok to give a few characters a break and let some other folks shine. Plus, we finally figured out why Sookie has light fingers! Because she drinks light punch. Right? I don't know, let's Pro and Con it.
Pro: Lorena sucking on Sookie's neck paired with Bill's grunting noises - together it all sounds like some sort of sticky three way. Yep, seems about right for this series.

Thanks to Team Talk Blood member, Jefwithonef for giving us his review from last night eppy

When things have already gone too far, the only choice is to go much, much further.

Through the course of this episode, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) escape from vampires and werewolves by brutally murdering their captors, rescue Vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) and drive off triumphantly into the sunrise to a brave and happy new world where there is no language but love and no farts, only daffodils.

Or maybe everyone is beaten and covered in blood, thoroughly traumatized by the associated rapes, tortures and betrayal they've gone through in the last 24 hours. Maybe the tearful reunion between Bill and Sookie turns into a feeding frenzy when he awakens with her locked in the back of a moving truck and his more monstrous instincts take over in an attempt to heal the injuries he has sustained.

Go ask Dallas: What was that prayer that Lafayette said at Sookie's hospital bedside?

    Dear Dallas
What was that prayer that Lafayette said at Sookie's hospital bedside?
    Thanks

    Dead DB
    Here is what Lafayette said

    Prayer At Time Of Adversity
      An Inuit Indian Prayer
I think over again my small adventures.
My fears, Those small ones that seemed so big,
    For all the vital things
I had to get and reach.
And yet there is only one great thing,
    The only thing,
To live to see the great day that dawns
And the light that fills the world.

Casting Call for Claudine in True Blood Season 3 Episode 3.07

A new casting call is out for S03 E07 – “Hit the Floor”.

[CLAUDINE] 30s-40s. A beautiful, kind and loving figure who knows a lot about Sookie, she appears to Sookie in a golden vision. However, their utopia is abruptly dismantled when Claudine issues Sookie a mysterious warning. Possible recurring.

FYI : We should not see Claudine for the first time according to the books until the next book - we first meet Claudine in Bk 4 Dead to the World when she comes into Merlotte's with Tara. She is working part time with Tara at "Togs" Sometimes folks think we first see her waking Sookie up in the car but this is the first exchange:

"I'm Claudine," she said, with a beautiful smile. Her teeth were Hollywood white. Her skin had an odd
quality; it looked glossy and thin, reminding me of the skin of a plum; like if you bit her, sweet juice would gush out. "I'm here because of all the activity."
    "Oh?" I said, taken aback.
"Sure. You have vampires, and Weres, and lots of other stuff all tangled up here in Bon Temps—to say nothing of several important and powerful crossroads. I was drawn to all the possibilities."
"Uh-huh," I said uncertainly. "So, do you plan on just observing all this, or what?"
"Oh, no. Just observing is not my way." She laughed. "You're quite the wild card, aren't you?"

We have seen the next book seeping into the season before in True Blood so this isn't too unusual.

This image is from the unaired True Blood Episode 1 - it used to be online but it's gone now.
