Genesis Press Romance Book Company Innovates Using Viral Video and Tanya Wright From HBO's TRUE BLOOD

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesis Press—the nation's oldest and largest romance publishing company geared toward an African-American audience—releases FIXIN TYRONE. Keith Walker, the book's author, is the self-professed "master of romantic suspense and urban fiction. I wrote this book for women, mainly," says Walker. " I have always been somewhat of a sensitive brother and I have a lot of empathy for nearly every situation. I hope that my readers learn that true love is important. It may not conquer all, but sometimes it is worth fighting for." FIXIN TYRONE, says Walker, is "one woman's struggle to find peace and fulfillment in a life that seemed to be flowing perfectly until her son's thuggish father is released from prison."

Deborah Ann Woll Interview: True Blood

As the first series of True Blood comes to an end, we're finally getting a glimpse into what it's like to be turned into a vampire - but from rookie Jessica's point of view, there's not much fun in it.

We caught up with actress Deborah Ann Woll to find out what's in store for the young bloodsucker.

Are you enjoying your role?
Are you kidding? It's fantastic. I'm a very reserved person so to get on set and be totally crazy and wild is the greatest.

How are you coping with the vampire fangs? Ever bite your lip?
They're pointy. I'm a bit of a klutz. And it's a little hard kissing with them in, I'll say. I have to be very careful.

Kevin Alejandro talks about going from 'Southland' cop to 'True Blood' vamp

Where you know Kevin Alejandro from is a kind of Rorschach Test for your TV viewing habits: To you, he may be Hilda’s late husband Santos on Ugly Betty, or Celia’s passive-aggressive Mexican kidnapper on Weeds, or gangland police detective Nate Moretta on Southland. And now he’s juggling two cable favorites with TNT rebooting the formerly-on-NBC Southland and HBO’s True Blood hiring him as a new love interest for blood dealer/short-order cook/male prostitute Lafayette. He called us from the set of the steamy vampire drama — which returns for season 3 this summer — to chat about fighting gang warfare (which comes to a head on tonight’s Southland, at 10 p.m. on TNT) and wooing Bon Temps’ vampiest multitasker.

Kevin Alejandro details 'True Blood' role

Kevin Alejandro explained his character's part in the upcoming season of HBO's True Blood.

Alejandro will play the love interest for blood dealer and male prostitute Lafayette, the character played by Nelsan Ellis. Most recently, Alejandro played police detective Nate Moretta on TNT's Southland, which returns for its third season this summer.

"They're really completely opposite characters. It's what every actor really wants," Alejandro told Entertainment Weekly.

When asked if his character is a vampire, the actor said that he is unsure.

Vampire author Anne Rice set to release video book

The author of "Interview With a Vampire," "The Vampire Lestat" and many other favorites has agreed to terms with the video book company Vook on a multimedia edition of "The Master of Rampling Gate," a vampire story published in Redbook magazine in 1984 and set in an England mansion in the 19th century.

"Vook represents a very exciting combination of new technological elements, that I think is long overdo in publishing," Rice said in a statement released Wednesday by Vook. "I'm excited that `The Master of Rampling Gate' is going to have new life in this form, and cannot wait to see the finished product. I'm not sure that my mind can conceive of all the possibilities of this new form. I'm learning. And it feels good."

Opinions are still mixed among publishers and authors about video books, or vooks, with some calling them a gimmick and others saying new formats are needed for the Internet age. The product integrates text, video and social networking.
