True Blood Season 4 stuff from Eonline

hmmmm

@Shanwink (via Twitter): True Blood goss!
Episode two of season four (which premieres Sunday, June 12!), is set at Fangtasia and called "You Smell Like Dinner." Fangbanger smorgasbord, anyone? A source on set also told me they are building some sort of bakery and/or pie shop for the upcoming season three. Oh God. Maybe Strawberry Shortcake's nemesis is the new big bad?! They're also building a "weird looking metal shack" and allowing Sam (Sam Trammell) to go more grey this season. You heard it here first, people! (Sorry if we just ruined the whole season for you.)

In Defense Of The New Buffy

This week’s announcement of a new Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie without Joss Whedon may have set the internet aflame in upset, but… Is it wrong that I think it might be a good idea? Please don’t kill me.
I should start, I guess, by owning up to my own Whedon fandom: I liked the original Buffy movie, and was a massive fan of the TV series. Angel kind of passed me by until the third season – I tuned in occasionally, but it didn’t really gel for me – and pretty much missed Firefly until reruns, at which point I fell in love with it (Serenity, too). Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog was pretty great, but I tend to think of Dollhouse as a misstep that may have been interesting, but certainly wasn’t good. Does that mean that I am a hater? I can’t quite tell, to be honest, because I’m certainly cautious about the idea of a Whedon Avengers movie and find myself hoping for the best for this Whedon-less Buffy.

Finally, some of the other True Blood fans sites follow ' Loving True Blood in Dallas' lead and stop using paparazzi photos !!

As you faithful readers know I have NEVER posted those photos on this blog as I think they are intrusive and certainly NOT in the spirit of fandom that I believe in.

I am appalled when the other sites post these paparazzi photos of our favorite True Blood actors coming in and out of Walgreen's, videos stores or just going about their daily lives with children, family and friends!

It's about time they stop and kudos to them for the policy change !

DYING FOR DAYLIGHT Game Based on Charlaine Harris’ Short Stories

I-play recently announced that they are collaborating with Sookie Stackhouse creator Charlaine Harris on an new interactive adventure game. Called Dying For Daylight, the game will be based on the character Dahlia, a vampire heroine featured in several of her short stories.
“Taking a character into the world of games is great fun and allows us to tell stories and bring characters to life in a whole new way,” says Harris. “Just like Sookie, Dahlia is a unique and multi-faceted character. Working with I-play to present her in this new way has been an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to hear what fans think of the results.”

A Very Vampires Christmas Charlaine Harris Sookieverse short story featured in December edition Glamour

Glamour...huh, appropriately named magazine for a Sookieverse short story huh ??

Charlaine Harris says on her Facebook page, “The holiday edition of Glamour is out, containing a Dahlia short story by moi. I had a lot of fun writing it, and the editing job was GREAT. I hope all of you enjoy it.”
Dahlia Lynley-Chivers is a vampire that lives in the Sookie-universe and was introduced in the short story “Tacky” in My Big, Fat Supernatural Wedding. Dahlia will also be featured in the new Dying For Daylight game that Charlaine Harris and I-play are developing.

'True Blood' adds fresh blood: Janina Gavankar and Jessica Tuck become regulars

True Blood casting! Three new ladies are joining the cast of everyone’s favorite summertime vamp soap: HBO confirms that Janina Gavankar will be a regular on the show come 2011, and Alexandra Breckenridge and Vedette Lim will be recurring; Jessica Tuck, who plays the head vampire spokeswoman, has been bumped up to a regular, too.
Gavankar, who will always be Shiva from The League to me, is going to play a teacher/shape-shifter, I guess to keep Sam company. Breckenridge, who was great as the pouty Willa on Dirt (why am I the only one who loved that show?), will be a Wiccan, and Lim will a cage fighter, according to Deadline. Is cage fighter now a mythical being? No one tell Ryan from The O.C..

Sookie Book # 11 " Dead Reckoning " cover art

So what does the cover art work mean ????

Chapter 1 should be up next week !

Who is getting excited ?

With her knack for being in trouble’s way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte’s, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. But Sookie suspects otherwise and she and Sam work together to uncover the culprit – and the twisted motive for the attack. But her attention is divided. Though she can’t ‘read’ vampires, Sookie knows her lover Eric Northman and his ‘child’ Pam well – and she realises that they are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, she is drawn into the plot -which is much more complicated than she knows. Caught up in the politics of the vampire world, Sookie will learn that she is as much of a pawn as any ordinary human – and that there is a new Queen on the board . . .
