Gone with the Wind mentions in the Sookie books include :
**Note that all the major Sookie suitors carry Sookie Rhett style
Living Dead in Dallas
"This." He scooped me up in the classic Rhett Butler carrying stance, and though I was wearing slacks rather than a long red—negligee? gown?—Bill managed to make me feel like I was as beautiful, as unforgettable,as Scarlett O'Hara.
Club Dead
"Josh will keep you company, I'm sure." I didn't get to see what Josh looked like, because Eric was carrying me upstairs then. "Rhett and Scarlet," I said. "I don't understand," Eric told me. "You haven't seen Gone with the Wind!" I was horrified. But then, why should a vampire
Viking have seen that staple of the Southern mystique?
Definitely Dead
"Here," he ( Quinn) said, and scooped me up, until he was holding me just like Rhett carried Scarlett O'Hara. As his aura wrapped around me, the unpleasant go-away compulsion eased. I drew a deep breath of relief. The magic could no longer recognize me as human, at least not decisively.
From Dead to Worse
I slumped against the kitchen wall for a long moment, feeling dejected. It wasn't a good thing to just sit around, being depressed. Maybe I'd go out to the living room and pop a movie into the VCR, as entertainment for Eric. He'd gone through all myBuffy tapes, and I didn't have Angel. I wondered if he'd like Gone with the Wind. (For all I knew, he'd been around when they were filming it. On the other hand, he had amnesia. Anything should be new to him.)
I sagged where I stood, and Eric, moving faster than I could see, picked me up. It was a very Scarlett and Rhett moment, spoiled only by the fact that there were two other guys there, we were in a humdrum parking lot, and I was unhappy about the damage to my car. Plus not a little shocked. “How’d he get the jump on three strong guys like you-all?” I asked. I didn’t worry about Eric holding me. It made me feel tiny, not a feeling I got to enjoy all that often.

BBC America has acquired two new seasons of Being Human, it has been announced.
The show's second season is due to premiere in late summer, with the third season arriving shortly afterwards. The first run aired last year on the cable network.
Last year, Syfy announced plans to produce a US version of Human, which gathered interest among American fans following a panel at 2009's Comic-Con festival.

'True Blood': An interview with a vampire

Truth be told, season two of True Blood was somewhat lacking in the Eric Northman department. Heartbreaking scenes with Godric (R.I.P.) aside, TB2 was ruled by Maryann Forrester and her creepy dalliances with Demetri. Thankfully, the show's third run promises to feature more of Bon Temps' sexiest vampire as he battles Bill (for Sookie's heart), the Queen of Louisiana (over the V sales), and werewolves (more here). Itching for more info, Tube Talk caught up with Alexander Skarsgård for a quick bite.
Does Eric have genuine feelings for Sookie? Or is he doing it to get at Bill?
"He's intrigued by her, for sure. When he meets her for the first time, he knows there's something different about her and that intrigues him. He doesn't care too much for humans in general - he thinks they're pathetic - but when he meets her, there's something about her. He can't put his finger on it, but he's curious for sure."
It's not just a case of forbidden fruit?
"No – he's curious and he's not gonna let Bill stop him because Bill's just this little kid!"

Mad Men guest star Bill Compton in a cross over
Bill Compton ('True Blood')
We couldn't possibly love "Mad Men" more—unless there were vampires! And since Edward Cullen's sparkling would be far too distracting to the Sterling Cooper secretary pool, we suggest a "True Blood" crossover with Bill Compton. We already know he was around in the '60s, and his knack for catchphrases would be right at home in an ad agency.

Can 'Wolfman' destroy vampire fever?
(CNN) -- Until Taylor Lautner beefed up and began walking around shirtless in "New Moon," there wasn't a chance in the underworld that werewolves could steal pop culture's rabid affection for vampires.
But now that moviegoers' appetites have been whetted for this particularly hairy breed of supernatural beast, perhaps the new horror movie "The Wolfman," starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, can help the myth finally step out from the, er, non-shadow of vampires after all.
In the past 30 years, there have been a number of films dedicated to the frightening -- and sometimes hilarious -- things that can happen when under the werewolf curse, yet the genre has never soared into popularity.
We're officially past "New Moon" frenzy, and werewolves haven't exactly shown up in TV series, novels and other movies the same way vampirism has since "Twilight" and its cohorts left their markread on
