True Blood Season 5 ! Wow !

True Blood‘s fourth season hasn’t even gotten underway yet and already Alan Ball is making plans for a likely fifth — big plans.
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that tube MVP Scott Foley is joining the cast in a major recurring role that will kick off in the Season 4 finale and, assuming the show gets renewed (duh, it will), continue into Season 5.
The Felicity and Unit alum — who spent a good part of last season playing husband to Kim Raver’s Teddy on Grey’s Anatomy — will tackle the role of Patrick, a tough and ruggedly attractive old army buddy of Terry’s (Todd Lowe) who pays him a visit.

True Blood Premieres Sunday: Hear from the Author, Charlaine Harris

With a new season of TRUE BLOOD around the corner, Charlaine Harris, author of the chart-topping DEAD RECKONING, among many other bestselling books, recently sat down with SciFi Book Club Senior Editor Rome Quezada at New York City's Standard Hotel during BookExpo America. DEAD RECKONING is the latest installment in The Sookie Stackhouse urban fantasy series about a telepathic waitress who works in a bar in the fictional Northern Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the basis for the hit HBO series, TRUE BLOOD.

Charlaine and Rome talked about Sookie Stackhouse—including the upcoming SOOKIE STACKHOUSE COMPANION—Harris's thoughts on TRUE BLOOD, the future of the series, and who some of her favorite science fiction authors are. Here's an excerpt onCharlaine's feelings on the first few episodes of TRUE BLOOD:

I think they got the spirit of the books exactly right. I knew Alan got me. I mean, we're both Southern people. I had seen his previous work so I knew he got the mixture of horror and comedy that I feel I'm expressing in the books. I like him. I think he's a genius.

‘True Blood’s’ Stephen Moyer: Sookie and Eric romance will be ‘great for the show’

Synopsis

They feed on illegal immigrants and former prostitutes (referred to as "meat") and attend gatherings with other vampires in the same district. Georges is a bit creepy, Bertha a little unhinged, and Grace is trying to kill herself (which, as an immortal vampire, she can't), but otherwise they seem like a normal family. But when the partying son Samson is caught having sex with the wife of the district vampire leader, the family is exiled (under Vampire Law, handed down from Count Dracula) to Canada, where a vampire's life is a lot less protected.

'True Blood' Star Kristin Bauer Takes Us Inside the Wonderfully Wicked World of Pam

Bon Temps is full of baddies, but vampire Pam has been one of the most terrifying -- and consistently funny -- characters on HBO's 'True Blood' (Season 4 premieres Sun., June 26 at 9PM). We have actress Kristin Bauer to thank for that.

A background character who's stolen almost every scene she's been in, Bauer told AOL TV that this is Pam's year to shine.

"This year, the main thing that I felt was that I got to play her really edgy. It's a really different side of Pam. We haven't seen it, we've suspected it, but she hasn't been unleashed ever. This year I feel is her most raw."

Witches come to Bon Temps and turn Pam's world upside-down, but Bauer told us we'll see Pam get in on the action with a fighting style that resembles that of a "feral monkey."

'True Blood' Season 4, Episode 2 Gets Early Release on HBO GO

Do you guys all get this ? If your cable TV provider allows access to HBO Go you will be able to watch episode 2 right after Episode 1 next Sunday night ...

According to the official Facebook page for True Blood, the episode will be available for those who register on HBO GO. HBO GO is free for HBO subscribers with participating cable companies and is available online or as an app available in both Apple's App Store and the Android Market.
Judging by the comments on the Facebook post, not all fans are happy. It seems that there are many cable companies (including cable giant, Time Warner) that aren't on HBO GO's list. If your cable company doesn't participate in HBO GO, you will have to wait until July 3 to see the episode titled, "You Smell Like Dinner."

I hate that they send out the first 3 eps on screener DVDs to the reviewers - so much leaks. Not that I dislike " spoilers" but the folks that get the DVDs don't always even understand the series ...

Hi. I am a HUGE fan of True Blood. I know this season is primarily about Sookie/Eric, but this Bill fan wants to know if the former couple will have any decent scenes together as well? Will Bill be pursuing Sookie or is he too busy with his new power position? — CK
I know you’ve seen the first eight minutes, but the next eight will definitely answer your question about whether Bill cares or not. That said, Bill’s storyline is sometimes very twisted, but mostly just full of twists.

Eric is constantly underestimated, and he’ll prove that in the first episode when he comes into possession of something extremely valuable. Also, episode 2 has some pretty great Eric moments, especially the last scene.
Let’s get some scoop on Jason, please! Bill, Sookie, Eric — love ‘em all. But haven’t heard a thing about Jason! — Gloria
Ryan Kwanten has talked about some dark and disturbing scenes that are in Jason’s future, and he was right on point. One scene in episode 2 might even require eye covering if you’re squeamish.

He’s Created a Monster: Alan Ball Talks ‘True Blood’

As anticipation grows for the June 26 season premiere of “True Blood” on HBO, an article in this weekend’s Arts & Leisure section looks at Anna Paquin, her trajectory on the show and what Season 4 holds in store for Sookie Stackhouse. Of course, Ms. Paquin would have no lines to speak, and never know when to bare her neck or shed her clothes if not for Alan Ball, the “True Blood” creator and producer, who adapted the series from Charlaine Harris’s best-selling “Southern Vampire Mysteries” novels.

O'Hare relishes 'True Blood' opportunity Was a fan before being cast in HBO vampire drama

When Denis O'Hare was asked to play the latest antagonist, Russell Edgington, the vampire king of Mississippi on HBO's hit skein "True Blood," accepting the role was a no brainer."It's one of my favorite shows," O'Hare says. "It's rare that you get to do a show that you actually love. It actually made me afraid because I loved it so much that I couldn't imagine being in that world.
"But once I got in the part and started thinking about it, I just got excited about the fact that it was a very powerful and charming character. It was such fun to play."
Edgington comes to Louisiana hoping to begin a war with its vampire queen and ultimately eliminate the human race. But tables turn, and when Edgington's lover and progeny, Talbot, is slain, the almost-3,000 year-old vampire goes on a rampage, including ripping a newscaster's spine from his body during a newscast.
