Yes, July 1st is the character Sookie Stackhouse's birthday. I believe in the books her birth year was 1979.
Charlaine has set the birth dates of many of the characters in the Sookieverse to real birth dates in her own family.
I believe July 1st is her oldest son's bday and she and Bill Compton share November 25th.

Greetings from Shreveport! I love how my city is featured on HBO's True Blood. I wish we had a real bar Fangtasia here! Also, thanks for the heads up on Sookie's birthday! I gotta find something to stick a candle in to celebrate!

I'm a huge fan of the show, and I wanted to share a tidbit of interesting news you might all be interested. There's a movie that Sam Trammell did called "Childhood's End" that's now being featured on Gigantic Digital for $2.99 (http://tinyurl.com/ltbakj) In one scene he has a full frontal and nobody seems to be in any hurry to yell "cut." His acting is pretty damn good too. Enjoy.
