Sookie is saved by " An ancient teenager."

"You afraid they'll complain, if they're awake?" I yelled. "Let me go, get off me! Get off, get off,get off!"
Finally, I'd unpinned my arms. In a moment, they'd recovered enough from the electric jolt to function. I
formed two cups with my hands. As I screamed at him, I clapped my hands over his ears.
He roared, and reared back, his own hands going to his head. He was so full of rage it escaped him and washed over me; it felt like bathing in fury. I knew then that he would kill me if he could, no matter what reprisals he faced. I tried to roll to one side, but he had me pinned with his legs. I watched as his right hand formed a fist, which seemed as big as a boulder to me. And with a sense of doom, I watched the arc of that fist as it descended to my face, knowing this one would knock me out and it would be all over
. . . .
And it didn't happen.
Up in the air Gabe went, pants open and dick hanging out, his fist landing on air, his shoes kicking at my legs.
A short man was holding Gabe up in the air; not a man, I realized at second glance, a teenager. An
ancient teenager.

Recasting "True Blood": HBO's Fang-tastic Drama Gets a Latin Makeover!

From Latina.com

I confess: It’s been only 3 weeks since I started watching Alan Ball’s HBO drama, True Blood. However, I’m already as addicted to the show as Bill is sprung on Sookie! And I have so many questions. For instance, will my favorite character Jason Stackhouse die after being shot in last week’s episode by that crazy Sarah Newlin? Who will save Jason’s sister Sookie from the Fellowship of the Sun? Is Eggs as trustworthy as Tara thinks he is? Will Sam be framed for Daphne’s murder? And what in sam hell is Mary Ann? All of these questions got me pondering an altogether different question: What would my new favorite show look like with an all-Latin cast? I’ve got that answer: Vivo Por Tivo proudly presents the Latin cast of True Sangre!

Sookie Stackhouse: Joanna Garcia. True Blood centers on Sookie, a waitress at Sam’s bar who has the telepathic ability to hear people’s thoughts. Played brilliantly by Ana Paquin, Sookie is kind, sweet, intelligent, and looks like your typical girl-next-door. But don’t mess with her, because she’s a lot tougher than she looks—just like my girl Joanna Garcia, an adorable, sweet, and bubbly girl who's also a very strong, assertive woman.

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer Are Engaged!

People Mag. needs to correct this article, we know from many other articles that they have not just been together since Feb 24th 2009.
Just sayin'

It's true love for True Blood couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The two are engaged to be married, reps for both actors on the HBO vampire series confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.

No further details were available.

The two have been together since Feb. 24 of this year. Paquin, who plays telepathic Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood, is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano.

Moyer, from Essex, England, plays bloodsucking Bill Compton on the series. He also has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

Last month, Paquin, 27, said of her nude love scenes with Moyer, 39: "Obviously, if you're already with that person then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!'"

For his part, Moyer has said of his lady love, "My girl is hardcore.

True Blood HBO Mexico event

Our good friend Analaura in Mexico send us a report from the HBO Mexico True Blood Premier and check out the cool gifts ...thanks Ana !

True Blood’s 2nd season’s premiere was on July 19th but people from HBO Latino made a premiere in a very luxury theatre in Mexico City (called Antara) on July 14th. I was very, very lucky to win a pass to that screening because it was for press people and just 10 fans got to attend.

The screening was supposed to be at 7 pm, but HBO asked to wait a bit for registration and control of the people. Once we completed the form, they gave us 2 tickets. The first one was to participate in a raffle. There were a lot of prices, but the big ones were the complete TB’s first season. The second ticket was to claim a combo at the cinema’s candy shop :D

When we got to access, HBO’s frontman started to talk about Big Love and the new season. Just after that he said it was very proud of what HBO has done with the new series, specially of True Blood, cause it was the first time in Latin America they have these crazy ratings and a lot of people was pushing to get the second season right along with HBO in USA and Canada. But they have this policy that prevents HBO Latino to air a new season before 6 months have passed. Now they’ve made the exception and just waited 1 month to release the new season. That’s why they were doing all of this, for the first time in fact. (and everyone applauded XD!!)

And then we got to see the first episode of TB in big screen!!

After the episode was finished, HBO made the raffle and we were asked to leave the room to claim a few more surprises. Of course we went out like crazies LOL!! And they gave t-shirts, a fang pendant, and a CD with the first 4 episodes of the 2nd season.

'True Blood' Thus Far

Nice article from Katie at Rabid Doll

REVIEW: Gore, graphic sex, true love and creepy scares give series a sharp bite

HBO’s new hit show “True Blood” is gaining new viewers by the thousands each week, and with good reason.

Vampires are everywhere right now, from TV and movies to comics and novels. What’s different about “True Blood” is that the vampires are no longer hiding from the public; they’re fighting for their rights in the world. With the creation of a synthetic blood drink called “True Blood,” vampires are no longer in need of humans to feed off of (that doesn’t always stop them from doing so though!).

The show takes place in a small town in rural Louisiana called Bon Temps, and we quickly find out that vampires aren’t the only things unusual about this town. There are also shape-shifters, maenads and telepaths.

At the core of the show is Sookie Stackhouse, a naive southern belle in love with a vampire. Oh yeah, she can also read minds. Bill is her vampire boyfriend, whose thoughts she can conveniently not hear.

A lot went down last season, including Sookie killing the local serial killer who was after her next with a shovel. Meanwhile, Bill was punished by his fellow vampires for slaying another vampire that tried to kill Sookie. His punishment –- make another vampire to replace him. In comes Jessica, who is in his care now; she’s a fiery teenager who causes a few problems for Bill, such as sneaking her new boyfriend into his house.

Sookie has also had to fend off her shape-shifting boss Sam, the owner of Merlotte’s where she works. Sam’s had a crush on her for years, but this season Daphne (a fellow shape shifter) will keep him busy.

Tara, Sookie’s best friend, has found herself caught up with a maenad named Mary Ann –- a god-like creature that drugs the whole town of Bon Temps with her magic, and hosts crazy orgies in the woods, in her house and in Merlotte’s. Mary Ann’s parties do look fun, but there’s definitely something evil going on there.

We’ve also come to know (and love) a few new vampires. Most notably is Eric, the sheriff of Louisiana. He is the boss in these parts, and he’s taken a special interest in Sookie, though we’re not quite sure why yet.
