Janice Herveaux-what the hell ???

This sure isnt the wonderful Janice Herveaux Phillips from the books where she is married and owns a beauty shop in Jackson. Also in the books she is the his younger sister which makes her a non- were.

Recently killed-off Heroes cast member Dawn Olivieri has found new life — as a werewolf on True Blood.

Heroes: Will Lydia's death spell disaster for Samuel?

Olivieri will play Janice Herveaux, the sister of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello), the actress' rep confirms to TVGuide.com.

Herveaux is described as a tough-as-nails biker chick who's somewhat protective of her younger brother. She is also into horoscopes and psychics.

Olivieri will first appear in Season 3's fourth episode, "9 Crimes." She also auditioned for the role of Debbie Pelt, Alcide's ex-girlfriend. Casting for that role has yet to be announced.

True Blood casts Joe Manganiello as Alcide

Olivieri just wrapped up a recurring role on Heroes' fourth season as Lydia, a tattooed empath and member of evil carnival leader Samuel's "family." Her previous credits include My Boys, Entourage, How I Met Your Mother and Cold Case.

I did love her on Heros, so I'm pretty confident that she will be great in any form on True Blood. =)

I am sure she will do great on True
Blood,i just don't know just how well
it will play out on the show, cause
she was a hair dresser in the book
for those that don't read the books,
and younger than Alcide and not a werewolf, this one i will have to wait and see.

I think she would have made a good Debbie Pelt.

Maybe they have greater plans for her as Alcide's sister and if she was cast as Debbie Pelt then they would be killing her off... that is assuming that they follow the books in that respect. lol

I might be a little confused, but I thought that only one child could be a werewolf and it was the first born??? Where am I getting this from?

You are right it would be the first
born,and Alcide told Sookie when
they were on their way to Jackson
after they left Sookies house.

I think for the show they are changing the first born rule, I think some of Sam's sibs might also be shifters and it lets them have more were's, shifters and the like.

Debbie Pelt lasted longer in the books than Janice, though Janice didn't die, she just played her little part and then the story moved on.

In the books, only the firstborn of a particular pairing could be a were. But a male could mate with another female and that would make another pairing that could produce another were. That's why the pack leader could have sex with other females to produce more weres. Think about Calvin Norris and Patrick Furnan. Of course, this is all according to the books and the TV series embraces little from the books.
