SXSW will present the world premiere of Géla Babluani’s 13, a remake of Babluani’s 2005 French film 13 Tzameti. Part of the film festival’s SX Fantastic midnight section — which is programmed by Tim League, founder of Austin’s annual genre-film blowout Fantastic Fest13 will screen at midnight March 13 at the Alamo South Lamar Theater.

From the 13 synopsis: “The thriller follows the story of Vince, who unwittingly becomes involved in a degenerate, clandestine world of mental chaos behind closed doors.” The new movie stars Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ben Gazzara and Alexander Skarsgard.

Do you want a free copy of the next Sookie book, Dead in the Family 2 months early ???

Then here are two chances to win an ARC ( Advanced Reader Copy ) of the new Sookie book, Dead in the Family

This is from the amazing author, Suzanne McLeod is sponsoring
this fantastic contest!

Is that y'all screaming saying 'TELL ME MORE' ??? *g* Then here's what you have to do ...

Charlaine is coming to the UK for a short tour [details here] and yours truly is going to have the honour of interviewing her on the 9th March before her London talk and signing event.** Yay! The interview will be videoed and will be posted at a later date on the Gollancz website for all to watch. Double Yay! :-)

Now where there's an interview, there needs to be questions, and who better to ask them than my fellow Charlaine/Sookie Fans :-).

So, to enter to win an ARC of Dead in the Family, leave me a comment stating what question/or questions [max 5 per person/comment] you would like me to ask Charlaine about her Southern Vampire books on your behalf, including any questions you might want to ask about her new book, Dead in the Family. ARC 1.

Okay, now here's the rules ...

1 comment which must include at least one question, up to a max of 5 questions in that one comment, and only one comment per person - please leave your name [real or cyber] and place - e.g, Sarah or Snookies from Manchester - so if your question is the winner I can tell Charlaine who the question is from :-) = 1 entry

Comments on this LJ post are disabled - please leave questions at my blog here
http://suzannemcleod.blogspot.com/2010/03/win-arc-dead-in-family-charlaine-harris.html

Help spread the news about the contest with a mention of the giveaway on your blog/live journal/myspace/facebook/twitter#1/etc - Each link = 1 entry.

Email the link/links to the mention to: contest [at] spellcrackers [dot] com - [please replace the [a] with @ and [dot] with . as per usual :-) ] Do not post links in the comments section. This is VERY IMPORTANT - any links posted into the comments section will be deleted and will not count as an entry. Only Emailed links will count#2. All I want in the comments are questions for Charlaine please - anything else will just be confusing for my meager organisational abilities, sorry.

Contest is open to all, and open internationally. Contest closes 5 pm Sunday 7th March UK time.

The winning question will be chosen by Gollancz and myself. The prize will be ARC 1 of Dead in the Family. Our decision will be final. Please remember that Charlaine might not answer the winning question if she feels it could be spoiler'ish.

There will also be a random draw from all the entries/links via Random.org and that person will also win an ARC of Dead in the Family. ***ARC 2.

Winners will be announced here on my blog after 10th March. If prizes are not claimed within 7 days, then new winners will be redrawn by Random.org.

ARCs are for personal use only - not to be re-sold.

Any and all questions could be asked of Charlaine, not just the winning one. If your question is not the winning one, but is used as well, this will count as an extra entry in the random draw.

So, not only do you get a chance to win the newest fabulous Sookie book and read it before anyone else, but you also get a chance to have Charlaine answer those burning questions you've got about her Southern Vampire books. Now, what are you waiting for - go leave me your questions, and get posting!

'True Blood' Star Stephen Moyer Knew Anna Paquin Would Never Turn Down His Marriage Proposal

We're still excited about the forthcoming nuptials between real-life "True Blood" couple, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, but when we caught up with Stephen at Cosmopolitan 's 2010 Fun Fearless Males party in New York City on Monday night, we couldn't help but be a little perplexed about where in the world our invite to the wedding has been.

Alexander Skarsgard on his new found fame

Sorry Sookie! Vampire Bill is thirsty for Arlene and Jessica’s blood now too!

True Blood’s Stephen Moyer who plays vampire Bill Compton, has a new craving and it doesn’t involve the blood of his fiance/costar Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse). Stephen wants to bite into the veins of co-stars Carrie Preston and Deborah Ann Woll!

“I’ve always had a thing about Carrie Preston who plays Arlene. In that long red wig, she does things for me,” Stephen told us at Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Fun Fearless Male Awards” at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC on Mar. 1 ,when we asked him whose blood he would like to suck besides Anna’s.

Stephen Moyer Misses Scenes with Anna Paquin

When it comes to fiancée Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer can’t get enough of a good thing.

“We haven’t been working together that much this year and I kind of miss that,” said Moyer, whose True Blood character Bill Compton has been separated from Paquin’s Sookie Stackhouse. “We met during the show, we met on camera, we met doing something that we love and that’s what we do. And I really miss her when Bill’s been taken [away].”

And it’s not just his significant other he misses – it’s the crew dynamic as well, he told reporters at Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Male Awards in New York Monday night. “It’s quite fun too, when [the camera’s] not rolling,” he said. “I think the thing is because the crew and everybody grew up watching us, they’ve seen every move I’ve ever made on her.”
