Charlaine Harris interview with CBC Q show !

Charlaine Harris, the author of 11 Sookie Stackhouse novels, says she's ready to walk away from the best-selling series after 13 books.

Harris's books about the telepathic Sookie, a waitress in a small town who knows a vampire when she meets one, are the basis for the HBO series True Blood.

Creator Alan Ball "got the mixture of horror and sex and violence and humour that comprise the books," she said.
