True Blood with a laught track ?

NY mag talks about it here

True Blood Blood Copy : Adios Andrew ( again ?)

Yeah, again. He does this every off season- he can't be bothered to post to the minions on the off season.

Those days at the beach are drawing to a close. The long afternoons and brief nights are ebbing. The air is turning colder, and good breather children everywhere are being forced out of summer break to once again attend class.

The Fall is coming.

Someone once told me a vampire’s existence is better measured in seasons than years. Years are temporary. Seasons are eternal. They are markers, each representing a perspective, a unique point of view on the passing years, far beyond the space of time that houses them. The same can be said of vampires. A number on a calendar means nothing to us. A single year little different than a single day. But over a long enough span, patterns do emerge. We change and evolve, shifting from one period of our lives to another, with changes as stark as the frozen winter to the warm summer nights.

Enough stalling.

I’m leaving Bloodcopy indefinitely, starting tonight. Another site has been gracious enough to house it in the meantime, so you can still access any part of Bloodcopy on the HBO web site. (www.hbo.com/trueblood)

There are a number of reasons for my departure, though I suppose the most direct involves some unfinished business with an old friend. It’s nothing dangerous or criminal (sorry, devout FOTS members), but it does require my full attention and could easily lead to greater changes in my future.

You could say I’m entering the next season of my life.

This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve suspended this site, so I won’t be rash and swear I’ll never return. Of course, the first time I left I was human. I must admit my farewell message that time still amuses me, where I claimed I was off to seek out new creatures in the world. Little did I know I’d become one of them.

This time I’m going to try a different approach. I’ll resist the temptation to expound on the state of human/vampire co-existence, the strides and back steps we’ve taken, the uncertain future facing us. I won’t recount my incredible experience as a member of Gawker, the new oddities I’ve faced since my maker called me back home. I won’t even thank each and every single person who’s joined me along the way. Comment on their insightful comments and thoughtful contributions. Tell them I’ve learned far more from them than they could ever from me.

I’ve said all these things before.

Instead, I’ll simply wish you pleasant evenings on your own travels. And do take good care.

Vampires may not be the only other creatures sharing your world.

More video with Stephen Moyer at Emmy's

From Ausiello
Of all the Emmy interviews I did yesterday, my red carpet Q&A with True Blood’s Stephen Moyer may be my favorite. This was my first time interviewing him one-on-one, so I think I was expecting someone more along the lines of, well, Bill Compton — that is brooding, dark, and relatively humorless. (I couldn’t really get a read on him during that group interview at Comic-Con). Well, Moyer is none of those things, as you’re about to see. I was particularly impressed with his response to my Eric-Sookie question as well as his take on why the show’s love triangles don’t suck. Watch the video after the jump!

another interview of Stephen Moyer from TV Guide

True Blood’s Stephen Moyer: ‘We weren’t surprised by Emmy snub’

True Blood star Stephen Moyer has admitted that the cast weren’t surprised when they failed to receive any Emmy nominations this year.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at last night’s Emmy ceremony, Moyer said:

“Not many shows get nominated in the first season. I would hope that after the success of the second season, it would at least be up there next year in the running. If nothing else, but for [creator Alan Ball's] work.

“I don’t think we were that surprised. Vampire stuff as a genre hasn’t traditionally been a big Emmy choice.”

Stephen also shed some light on how he feels about his girlfriend Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) cosying up to vampire boss Eric.

'True Blood' wins 'Breakthrough' honor at the Emmys. Whazzat?

stephenmoyer_trueblood_290.jpg"True Blood" wasn't up for any awards at Sunday night's Primetime Emmy telecast, but it earned some accolades during the broadcast anyway.

The HBO series won something called the "Breakthrough Performance of the Year" that was announced near the end of Sunday's show, beating out Kris Allen's crowning moment on "American Idol" and Chuck kissing Blair on "Gossip Girl."

So what, exactly, is the Breakthrough Performance of the Year? It doesn't really have anything to do with the Emmys, for starters. It's a fan poll sponsored by TV.com (owned by CBS, which aired the awards this year) and Vaseline, which is hyping, no kidding, a "breakthrough in body lotion" and designed to recognize things that cut through the TV clutter and grabbed people's attention over the past season.

Why TV Vampires Make Better Boyfriends Than Their Fictional Counterparts

If you are a single male television character who is having trouble attracting the woman of your dreams, there is a simple solution: become a vampire. It may seem counterintuitive. After all, no woman has ever written, “I am seeking a serial killer who will always be fighting his urge to mutilate me,” on her match.com profile. There would seem to be many disadvantages to dating a vampire. First of all, he can only go out at night. No romantic walks on the beach for him. Second, he can never order anything at restaurants. That could be awkward. Third, the damsel must sleep with one eye open at all times lest he succumb to his urge to suck every ounce of blood out of her body or, worse, stand by her bed for hours watching her sleep. That is creepy, not romantic, Edward Cullen!

So why are the undead considered so damn sexy? And why vampires, specifically? No one is hot for zombies. Academics argue that being bitten is a literary metaphor for sex, specifically loss of virginity. The obsessive nature of vampire lust also makes him an appealing fantasy. Nothing is more important to a vamp than the object of his obsession. A vampire would never blow off a girl to play fantasy football with his boys. Actual baseball, maybe, but only if he is one of those wussy Cullens. Every TV vampire — even Nick Knight from Forever Knight – is cooler than the Cullens. In fact, TV vampires are consistently better boyfriends than their mortal fictional counterparts. Consider the evidence as we compare and contrast them below. And remember, once you go vampire, you’ll always aim higher.

Child star Anna Paquin is all grown-up in hit vampire drama True Blood

From Glasgow Sunday Mail

SEXY Anna Paquin might be TV's raunchiest vampire lover - but film fans will remember her best as the schoolgirl star of The Piano.

Her role as waitress Sookie Stackhouse in Channel 4's critically acclaimed new drama True Blood sees her cavorting naked for red hot love scenes with a vampire.

But rather than blushing about it, at 27 Anna thinks she's got nothing to be shy about.

She laughed: "It would be really stupid if it was one of those shows where the couple who do it all the time were constantly being draped with sheets so that you don't see a nipple or wear bras during sex.

"Maybe some people do but that's just not been my experience.

"Maybe because I was a kid actor, nobody expects me to do those kind of scenes but it's a big part of our show."

Anna, who became the second youngest Oscar winner for her role as Flora McGrath in The Piano, admits that, even when she's got her clothes on, there's not a lot of them as her waitress's uniform consists of hotpants and a tight T shirt.
