Sookie bk 4: Eric & Sookie shower scene Alan Ball says fans will be 'very happy' ( listen here)
The fourth Charlaine Harris novel also features Sookie and Eric becoming very close, like, in the biblical sense. Will the fourth season stay true to that? "If you know the books and you like the fourth book in the series, you won't be disappointed," executive producer Alan Ball says. "[In that book], they have a pretty hot hookup that goes on for a while, but all I'm saying is fans of Team Eric will be very happy this year."

The new faces of Bon Temps- Holly Cleary (Lauren Bowles)
Where you've seen Bowles: The movie Hall Pass, Team: Witches
Who is Holly? The working mom/Wiccan joined the waitstaff at Merlotte's in Season 3 and counseled fellow employees Tara (Rutina Wesley) about being a rape victim and Arlene (Carrie Preston) about how she might use witchcraft to "lose" the baby she conceived with her late serial killer ex-boyfriend, Rene.
What's she up to this season? Arlene and Tara aren't the only characters Holly will be hanging out with this season. Turns out she's part of the same Wiccan coven as Lafayette's boyfriend, Jesus (Kevin Alejandro).
Is she in the books? Yes, she is a Wiccan who works at Merlotte's, though she's not quite as strong-willed as the TV version.

Kristin Bauer van Straten: The witches prove to be pretty creative enemies
Although her candy-color coated outside is incredibly delicious, Kristin Bauer van Straten promises that the fourth season of "True Blood" will strip away Pam's shell and show the world just what she's made of.
Part of that will present itself early in the season as Eric loses his memory, forcing Pam to step up at Fangtasia and within the vampire hierarchy. But her mettle will truly be tested later this season as .... well, I don't know. This is "True Blood" after all and spoilers are avoided by the cast like the plague.
What I can tell you is that Kristin reveals this season will show every character in such a drastically different light, you may be swapping favorites and crushes faster than Sookie Stackhouse!
PopWrap: What excited you coming into season four?
Kristin Bauer van Straten: I found out fairly early on that Pam is getting her own crazy storyline this season, which ramps up in the middle of the season. That was very exciting for me because I knew that it would show everyone a different side of Pam, which is a bit of a challenge for me, but also so great.

True Blood Characters Who Still Haven’t Had Sex (and Why They Should)
By Meredith Woerner
How in Fern Gully porno heaven will True Blood top last year's neck-snapping sex sessions and vampire TV broadcasts? By mixing up the sextation on this show. It's time for Andy Bellefleur to get his! But with whom?
Here's our list of hookups we're hoping take place in the new fourth season. Your move, True Blood.
At first, I was tempted to wish for a sordid past between Andy and Hoyt Fortenberry's Mama, Maxine. Thus planting the seeds of a potential Andy and Hoyt father-and-son, on-the-road episode (perhaps Maxine could blurt out the truth while juiced up by the dirt sex goblin?). But I just couldn't do that to Andy — he deserves better. And even though Maxine and I can both get down in a muumuu to Claudine Clark's "Party Lights," she's still a horrible lump of flesh and a rotten excuse for a human being.

The Kinky Beasts of 'True Blood' The monsters return with new lusts, secret desires and a lot of love gone spectacularly bad
The last time we saw Sookie Stackhouse, amid all the rampant gore and sweat and naked flesh of True Blood, she had a bit of a revelation: "I know I am basically vampire crack." Well put, Sookie. There's something about this girl that drives all the monstrous creatures around her sick with desire. It might be because — as she discovered at the end of last season — she has a tinge of faerie in her blood, which renders her irresistible to vampires. Somehow, this small-town waitress keeps proving she's made of much tougher stuff than any of the otherworldly fiends she encounters. Nothing fazes her, not even her discovery about her ancestry. As she put it, "I'm a faerie? How fucking lame."

‘True Blood’ star Alexander Skarsgard on Eric: ‘There has to be an element of danger’
Viking vampire sheriff Eric Northman plays a major role in the fourth season of HBO’s hit series “True Blood,” which kicks off Sunday — after losing his memory at the hands of a coven of witches, he has to turn to telepathic barmaid/fairy Sookie Stackhouse for help. Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard has gained a fervent following for his portrayal of the icy, sexy vamp, and he recently sat down for an interview with Hero Complex contributor Gina McIntyre to talk about what’s ahead for Eric and the character’s relationships with Anna Paquin‘s Sookie and Kristin Bauer van Straten‘s sardonic Pam.

Talk Blood Radio comes roaring back our first episode premiers after True Blood Episode 2 on July 3rd 9:30 pm cst
We have been saved by lots of hard work, wonderful friends, fans and some great independent authors and small business owners.
As you all know there just wasn’t an option for me to do the same radio show this year because Blogtalk has changed its pay structure and is actually now a little expensive to use. It’s still the best thing going and the only player for the kind of live radio show I do with audio clips, tons of call – in guests and fans. It also offers a great chat room client and after the live show it auto posts downloadable podcasts right to my blog, onto blogtalk for subscribers and most importantly onto iTunes-- in other words, it’s worth every penny…
So I had to figure out a way to pay for all this or just give up.
There has been lots going on behind the scenes the last 2 weeks as I have been trying to save the show and I wanted you all to know a little about it. We did have a secret fairy godmother/father help us get started raising the money and I pledged to do the hard work needed to make the rest happen! We aren’t there yet , but we are getting there and now we are even expanding to offer a fantastic end -of- season raffle with wonderful prizes for all those that pledge at least $20. I will be posting more about all this soon with more information on some of our new sponsors, this year’s show co-hosts and more ..
You can help here now by buying a raffle ticket or contact me for other donation and sponsorship offers. You can sponsor an episode of the show for as little at $50 and I will be happy to promote your business/ blog – please help. PAYPAL HERE
Below is a paragraph from an email I wrote earlier this week when things looked pretty bleak – I meant every word of it and I wanted to share it with you . This is what has been worth fighting for ….
What all of you need to know is by far the majority of folks that came forward to support the show are the very folks that have personally made the True Blood fan experience what great fun it has been, not just for me -but for millions of fans over the last 4 years.
True Blood has been a fun fan experience for many, not because of HBO flashy web sites, the elaborate and expensive advertising campaigns, nor has it been glamorous Hollywood media coverage or corporate fan promotion web sites. The true fun of being a True Blood fan has been created by the fans themselves for ourselves and many of them are my friends and are also fellow co- hosts of Talk Blood.
They were the very ones that jumped to offer money following my call for help and they all offered their support to the show.
@SookieBonTemps – my great friend and the wonderful leader of the True Blood fan Twitterverse. She and the other TB twitter characters have put on live original twitter plays, raised money for charities and offered TB fans millions of hours of fun and excitement on Twitter.
@LafayetteTB- ‘Laf’ has been Sookie’s constant sidekick and is beloved by his following for his wonderful portrayal of Lafayette Reynold’s True Blood character. He has given this community so much by also creating wonderful, innovative True Blood Twitter web environments ( yes, long before HBO came up with them !) in which fans could interact, create stories and have fun.
Andy Swist of Camp Blood- ( he and his beloved husband, Brian Juergens) beside being a True Fan, Andy has given freely his talents by developing the True Blood paper doll collection of graphic art and going way back, he gave us the fantastic Halloween True Blood pumpkin stencils. He and Brian also give us the great pleasure of watching their fangtastic, weekly, True Blood vlog called Bloodwork.

TES ( TeamEricSookie) and BOB (BillOhBill) of HBO True Blood wiki- These great gals have been the leaders of the most popular conversation streams on the HBO True Blood wiki discussion forum for the last 4 years. They are fans of different favorite vampire Sookie suitors but they have never let their preferences get in the way of encouraging great fan fun and discussions.
Special thanks to all my great co- hosts @Sookie Bon Temps, Andy Swist, Brian Juergens, Mark Blankenship, Meredith Woerner, Jefwithonef and Becca Wilcott. ( All of whom have agreed to come back for another fun year!) Also a very special thanks to Jen @Robiart for just being such a great friend to the show!
More soon ....thanks and thanks for your help!

10 Reasons Why True Blood Is Better Than the Books It's Based On
I’ve watched every episode of HBO’s True Blood, which is about to kick off its fourth season, and I’ve read every one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels on which it's based. An eternity is not enough time to express my gratitude to Ms. Charlaine Harris for the best premise in Southern Gothic mythology in these United States. But True Blood creator Alan Ball has refined her story into something with more insight and intensity than the complete works of Charles Dickens, and the HBO drama has the notable honor of being a TV adaptation that’s even better than its very addictive source material.
This is not just my opinion, it's a science fact, and here are ten reasons why.
10. Eric’s hair
In the books, Vampire Sheriff Eric Northman’s hair is frequently described as being bound up in intricate braids. Seriously? Who would even do the braiding? Pam?
9. Sookie is not the narrator
Sookie Stackhouse narrates each one of the books in the first person, with a mix of charming naivete and sass. Anna Paquin’s Sookie is definitely the center of True Blood, but we aren’t tied to her perspective. We don’t stay shut up with her in the FOTS basement in Season 2, we go aboveground, check out Jason getting it on with the Preacher’s wife, go to Bon Temps and watch the town have orgies under the influence of the maenad. Basically any time you see someone onscreen and they’re not directly across from Sookie, it didn’t happen in the books, or they told her about it over coffee several weeks later.

Inside 'True Blood'’s Fourth Season HBO’s vampire drama returns for a fourth season Sunday.
In the heart of West Hollywood, a homey bungalow serves as the office for Alan Ball, the executive producer of HBO’s addictive vampire series True Blood, which returns for a fourth season on Sunday. But the show’s resident horrors are nowhere to be found here: a dog bed (belonging to Ball’s beloved French bulldog, Gigi) sits in the entryway, and the place—reputedly once the office of Hollywood mogul Samuel Goldwyn—feels miles away from the Louisiana-set blood-soaked drama.

Alexander Skarsgard gets some added bite from 'True Blood'
Playing an aloof, sexy Viking vampire sheriff on HBO's "True Blood" requires many things of Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard, not least among them a willingness to endure long stretches of night shoots and a commitment to spend at least a certain amount of time in the gym. Anyone who's watched the show, which returns for its fourth season Sunday, knows that virtually every major character is afforded plenty of screen time wearing not much at all.
But every now and again, the hit series, masterminded by Alan Ball and adapted from mystery writer Charlaine Harris' bestselling novels, really takes a turn for the surreal — like in Season 3 when Skarsgard, who plays Eric Northman, and actor Allan Hyde, as Eric's vampire "maker" Godric, were hunting werewolves dressed like SS officers in a World War II era flashback scene.
