When will we find out who's dead in the car on True Blood? — Neil
MICKEY: Since the season premiere (airing Sunday, June 14, 9 pm/ET) picks up right where we left off, the victim's identity is revealed in short order. As you might have already guessed, Season 2's first casualty is related to Tara, but not in a way that you will guess. At first blush, the significance of said death will not be apparent, but just wait! Also, a minor character's drinking problem will resurface — hilariously.

I'm trying to guess at what he wrote. I can't! lol Well, part of it, but I could be wrong. So much to read into those short sentences.
I think the body in the car is Miss Janette! I think Maryanne saw her giving Tara the fake exorcism in the woods. Some little things I noticed like when Tara goes to the drug store and when she grabs Miss Janette and the bottle of lotion falls to the ground and there is a close-up of their feet! I think this might be one of Alan Ball's hint scene. Like the one with the picture in Sam's office of the dog protecting the little girl. Also, I heard Tara's solo promo and Bud Dearborn say the word "exorcism" Just something I was thinking about.
I was thinking that maybe Lafayette is still missing but it has to do with Bill and Eric. When Sookie slaps Eric in a later episode, Sookie says something about look what he did to him while Bill is right there. I just don't think she is talking about Bill. There is a shot of her going into the basement where Eric has the fight earlier. She is also holding a gun in the episode. I also think Bill fed on Lafayette. I think he is seen as fair game since he was dealing vampire blood. Hope that makes sense.
Louisianagirl, I would agree with you except it says that the person is related to Tara. (Unless just in relation as to someone knows her...?) But if it someone that is related to her that would be Lafayette or her mom. It also indicates that someone with a drinking problem has one again, I think that is her mom, so she wouldn't be dead. That leaves Lafayette... As much as I love his character on the show, I'm not sure he is going to survive. That and on the sweepstakes site that True Blood has, his name is on the gravestone as dying in the first season. The suspense is obviously making me think way to much. LOL
Yeah, Alan Ball is totally playing us (the book readers, I mean). Good for him. I love his own twist on the Sookie saga.

I think it's Tara's mother left by Maryann (does she not feed on drink & pride?)and has Tara in her sites
And the comment AB made that "the people who have reed the book know is Lafayette" why say that... I know alot of people who watch the show, but haven't reed the books.
He wouldn't just give away seasons-1 cliffhahger just like that....
