'True Blood': The precise moment Eric earned his hottest new vampire title

nice from EW

Confession: I’m one of those late-comers who’s helping True Blood now earn record ratings, so I was sort of surprised when Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) topped EW’s recent “Who’s the hottest new vampire?” poll with 42 percent of the vote. After last night’s episode, however, I totally get it. There was that smirk he flashed when he tricked Sookie into drinking his blood to remove a second silver bullet. The way he casually rested with his arm behind his head like an ’80s centerfold as he admitted that he’d told “a tiny falsehood” (”You big lying A-hole!” “Bill, you’re right, I believe I can sense her emotions.”) Sookie’s revealing dream, of course. (If you think that picture is a spoiler, at least it’s a spoiler that makes you want to watch the episode immediately.) And then, how tall and tasty he looked walking away from Godric and toward Sookie on the roof.

What’s the precise moment that made Eric the hottest new vampire in your eyes? (Episode title/number strongly encouraged.)

Episode 8 of season one, Eric in the bathtub. I swooned. Like whoa. He was a hottie to me from that second on.

Season 1, episode 8 “The Fourth Man in the Fire” – Sookie goes to Fangtasia to use her telepathic abilities to help Eric. That was the first time Eric totally rocked the black tank top!

Actually, I had forgotten that the tub scene was in that episode too. Thanks for the reminder, Mystic2mom!

I'm going to be honest. Having read the novels before watching the show, I was already drooling at "What a pity... for me." from S.1 Ep. 4. I noticed him. Like everyone does. I'm glad he has better hair now though.

I have been waiting forever for that
moment even if it was a dream, and i didn't think it was a smirk on Erics'
face when Sookie was sucking the
bullet out it looks very hard to
smile when the fangs are out it makes you look funny that is just me.

I love how Nan Flanagan owned him, though. IMHO she is the hottest vampire.

Hmmmm, I've to be the odd-ball ... I'm still a Bill admirer. Yes, Eric is totally delicious, but I like my vamps to be dark and handsome, like Bill.

*snaps out of the daydream* Ooops, have to remember hubby is sitting at his computer next to me! =)

Since I was already a huge fan of Eric's from the books, it just took that first appearance in S1, ep 4 to win me over to Team Eric. And I really thank AB or whomever cast AS in this role. It led me to Generation Kill, also.

So Eric replaced Angel as my hottest vampire way back when. Bill has never been in the running, IMO, though he is better than Edward Cullen.

I wasn't a fan of Eric when True Blood started. But after the end of Season 1. I needed to fuel my addiction to True Blood so I read the books (never read books so fast in my life). After reading the books. I completely fell in love with Eric. I guess you could say the chemistry on screen for Bill and Sookie was overwhelming due to there off screen romance. I think that is what caught me. But believe me once you read the books you will absolutely fall in love with Eric. And buy "Generation Kill". I did.

I thought he was the hottest vampire in the first scene he did on TB. I hadn't read the books yet and I was rooting for him...lol Then I read the books and really got to know him from Sookie's view point. =)

OH my GOD I never thought I'd say this but Eric IS the hottest new vampire! That smirk...and he did it again in the Sookie dream scene very briefly...oh it is all just too much! I must say though that I could see the Sookie/Eric thing coming a few episodes prior. The moment he called Bill's psychotic maker into the picture, you knew he must have had some alternative motives with Sookie to want to distract Bill like that.

I just found your blog after checking out those AWESOME True Blood paperdolls...I will definitely continue following your blog, I LOVE True Blood. Now if only I didn't have so many historical fiction books to review so I could actually start reading the Sookie Stackhouse series...

Does it count to say the second novel, "Living Dead in Dallas"? I found him soooo much more interesting than Bill, and have been waiting not-so-patiently for his character to emerge on True Blood, WORTH the wait!!!!
