People magazine
When Stephen Moyer proposed marriage to his True Blood costar Anna Paquin, he looked to his onscreen vampire character, Bill Compton, for a little inspiration.
"There's a song Bill listens to in the car about a white sandy beach," Moyer tells British Glamour magazine in its November issue. "So we decided to go away for a break – to a white sandy beach – and that's where it happened."
Moyer, 39, and Paquin, 27, managed to keep their off-screen romance a secret on the set until an awkward love scene forced the actor to do the honorable thing and 'fess up.
"One of the cast had to do an intimate scene with Anna," says the Brit actor. "I felt it would be so wrong for him to do it, then find out down the line that we were together."
Like many of the couple's fellow costars on the hit HBO series, the cast member's reaction was one of utter shock. "So after 10 months, we had to tell him," said Moyer. "He couldn't believe it!"

Well the only cast member that he
could be talking about would be is
Alex,so why would that be a prob.
unless he thought Alex liked her to,
there can be nude and sex in other
movies and shows.JMO
Jealousy can be a wasted emotion or there times where it is a healthy response. It is in the human nature to be jealous but having a guy who is always jealous over you, makes loving him difficult. But when someone don’t show any signs of jealousy over us, we often feel that they don't care. Stephen Moyer like many others understand that love can make a person jealous and to have a healthy relationship is to accept things that you may not like. Some guys knows how to hide their jealousy and others just can’t handle it, Stephen M couldn't. Even if they were acting in other movie or show, him being fine english gentleman he would definetly shows some cause of concern for his lady.
It does seem strange that he would be so oblique about that "cast member's" identity at this stage of the game. And I don't think jealousy was the reason, so much as possible awkwardness afterward when the mystery cast member found out. Especially if the MCM made a remark he would not have made to an unattached woman. And, of course, Rita is right that it must be Eric. I don't think the attempted rape by the big bruiser or the fumblings of Sam would justify that concern.
Sorry for not being a one sided fanatic but just a fan. Or try to give a different opinion.
I certainly believe that Alexander S could have been the man he is talking about or probably Sam Trammell. Name dropping or not by his part in the Magazine article is not an obligation. From my part knowing that Both men are very good looking men, who would not be “jealous” knowing that their partner will have a steamy sex scene with an other man, unless I am reading a different article. Reference to the books there are probably many others to come. And I believe that he loves her and knowing that the show involve some nudity; it is normal that feels uneasy and so to avoid “awkwardness” between the casts, he had to tell others why he fells uncomfortable.

Hey Dallas,
I'm a huge fan of the show and of your site. I do not have a google account so I was unable to leave a comment regarding "Song Sparked Stephen Moyer's Marriage Proposal to Anna Paquin." Some of the people on the comments board were wondering who the actor is that Stephen told about his relationship with Anna because he didn't want the guy to feel uncomfortably about shooting an intimate scene with her. The "actor" is Sam. Stephen stated this in a previous interview. So if you could please post this so that you can shed some light on this topic.
Thanks,
rstreetdia
If you don't have a gmail account you should but the next best thing is setting up a OpenID account ....
hope to see you soon Rstreet!
Stephen had mentioned the incident in an interview (may have been part of the Blu-ray commentary disc for S! I'm not sure??? memory is fuzzy), it was Sam/Sam and it was the scene where Sookie and Sam kiss after their date S1E5. Stephen said them all being friends, Sam needed to know because later on it would not be right when he found out or something like that.

It's Sam Trammell. NOT Alex!
Thanks for clearing that up. I would not have thought a kiss that serious of a sexual contact. Besides, if that was season 1, ep 5, they had only known each other a short time. I guess Rita and I were thinking it was something more recent and more intimate.
Sorry! i just would have thought it to be Alex since he was the only one
to be with Anna.
Stephen's mentioned this story before in a previous interview and when I read it, my first thought was why did you feel like you had to tell him that just before he kissed Anna? The reason Stephen gave in that interview was that he didn't want Sam to feel like a heel later on. But if it's like they said, that they didn't want the show to be impacted by their personal relationship, then why do something like this? If I were Sam T, after being told that, I'd be thinking, okay, "I better watch it and not accidentally scrape her tata with my wrist or something, I better watch it with my tongue." ....If I'm being too hard on Stephen and there's something I'm not seeing, please make a comment here. Thanks.
