QUOTES
Stephen: The thing I'll always carry from Quills was watching the Cricket Test Series with Michael Caine with plates of food on our knees. He had a satellite dish on the roof of his Winnebago. I was very happy, I have to say.(edit)Stephen: I think New Yorkers and Londoners try to find comparisons with each other but they are very different. To New Yorkers, their city has a heart - it's a living breathing entity - and I don't think we think like that about London.

Stephen: (on acting in violent scenes with his character, Jimmy, in "Empathy") I'm not like that in real life, so when I get the chance to punch a bit of air and let out a bit of steam, I love it.

Stephen: The big difficulty with transatlantic relationships is that you want them to work and your whole heart is invested in it but it's the logistics that make it tough to keep it going. If you are an old romantic then it's really tough when things like logic take over.

Stephen: (in a 2007 interview) I said to my son not that long ago, 'What do you want to do when you're older?' He said, 'I'm going to have to go away and think about it.' So off he went. He came back and said, 'Daddy, I've decided that I want to be an actor.'

Stephen: (in a 2007 interview) If you'd asked me if I believed in the paranormal this time last year I'd have said no. I used to be an atheist, but I've chilled out a bit on that. A couple of things in the past year have made me think maybe there is something to it.

Stephen: ("we" being British actors) American actors are incredibly professional when preparing for a shot or getting into character, whereas we tend to be having a laugh and mucking about. We'll be more relaxed up until the point the camera rolls. That's not a criticism by any means, but there's a different way of working.

Stephen: (on working with director Jon Avnet) I love working with him. When somebody comes to the party with as much energy and as much enthusiasm as he does... he shoots everything as if it's The Godfather.

Stephen: I love the fact you can walk down a street in London and get lost even though you've lived here 20 years.

Stephen: (on shooting in New York) It was a dream to shoot there and not be a tourist.

Stephen: (on his "Ny-Lon" character, Michael Antonioni) He's this Essex boy who works in the city - I was drawn to this character who is not me at all but isn't a million miles from what I could have been.

If the shoe fits ....Sookie and footwear !

A fun post over at Highheels.com, it seems as though they are making shoe (and boot ) recommendations for Sookie Stackhouse and to @SookieBonTemps.

Now, I think I might know what Sookie would call these, she might call them "three-inch-high f**k-me shoes" Ha!

When @HighHeels was recommeding blood red boots to @SookieBonTemps (via Twitter), I couldn’t help but think, “What shoes WOULD we recommend to Sookie?”

Miss Sookie Stackhouse (lead character of HBO’s vampire show, True Blood) is a woman after my own heart: a small town Louisiana girl who waits tables at a bar & falls in love with the wrong men. Namely, vampires.

Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin say it’s true love

Here is the TV Guide version of the Anna & Stephen story:

Exclusive!
True Blood's True Romance
True Blood stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin say it’s true love. The pair—who play romantically linked 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton and telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse on the HBO series—have confirmed they are dating. “We are together,” Moyer told TV Guide Magazine exclusively on the True Blood set—right after finishing an intense scene where Bill and Sookie have a major lover’s quarrel.

Moyer and Paquin’s real-life romance first sparked at the True Blood audition, but the couple decided to wait to go public. “The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” says Moyer. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show. The show is the star, not the two people having a relationship.”

So where is this romance going? Well, it seems Moyer, 37, and Paquin, 26, are living together—at least on this side of the pond. Moyer, who is British, divides his time between Los Angeles and London where he has two young children from a previous relationship. “It’s just exciting and that was there from day one,” Moyer says. “We always take the piss out of each other and are silly with each other and it is great. We’re very, very happy. She’s the best.” —Kate Hahn

Sean and Layla the dancing vampire team from Dancers in the Dark and All Together Dead

Wow, Sean and Layla seem to be causing a little stir in the blogosphere...

They only had eyes for each other, and they danced together as if they were gliding through a dream.

Our friends over at Sucker for Vampires blog...posted an article about Sean and Layla in "Dancers" today- now the article is in Portuguese so you'll have to use Google translator here

But in part ,they say "the Dancers in the Dark is my favorite of all!" and we agree !

Here is the English version from B at Sucker for Vampires

As you know, Sean is one of the favorite vampires and I like Layla too, so it was a lovely surprise to read that part. Who haven´t read the short stories yet, I really advise you to, and Dancers in the Dark is one of my favorites! In the book Sean even dances with Sookie and Layla dances with Eric!

And Sean helps Sookie to figure out some stuff. But I won´t say much so I don´t ruin the book for anyone.

Here is how they appear in All Together Dead !

Here to open the evening are two of Rhodes’s finest dancers, courtesy of Blue Moon Productions. Please welcome…Sean and Layla!”
The pair who stepped out into the middle of the dance floor were striking, whether you were human or vamp. They were both of the cold-blooded variety themselves, though he was very old and she was freshly turned, I thought.
She was one of the most beautiful women I’d ever seen, and she was wearing a beige lace dress that drifted around her world-class legs like snow falling around trees. Her partner was maybe the only vampire I’d ever seen with freckles, and his dusty red hair was as long as hers.
They only had eyes for each other, and they danced together as if they were gliding through a dream.
I had never seen anything like it, and from the rapt attention of the audience, no one else had, either. As the music drew to a conclusion—and to this day, I can’t remember what they danced to—Sean flung Layla back over his arm, bent over her, and bit. I was shocked, but the others seemed to expect it, and it turned them on no little amount. Sophie-Anne smoldered up at Andre (though she didn’t have far to smolder, since he wasn’t much taller than she), and Eric looked down at me with that hot light in his eyes that made me wary.”
There is more later...

Go ask Dallas : Mysterious weres with Sookie and Luna in Living Dead in Dallas

Thanks so very much for everyone's comments about out little "Deb-uh, girl" mystery.
I think everyone who posted was right ... ( the original post is here )

The two 'creatures" in the front seat are werewolves - Luna does say here :

Page 97 LDID "Why'd Josephus have to send for freakin' werewolves?" Luna muttered into my ea.

One was a male and one was a female and I guess her name was "Deb-uh" ( ha)
Luna it seems is a were-bat.

Pg 93 LDID "This little bat saved your life tonight, for real?" "Yes." I was absolutely sincere about that. "Luna saved my life."

Now as to what animal Debbie Pelt shifts into, well- that is one of the infamous Charlaine Harris ( I really love the little inaccuracies, myself-i think they are charming ) Sookie books mistakes.

In two different books, Charlaine says Debbie Pelt is two different types of were- animal.

Page 36 DD Okay. Debbie Pelt, werefox, had been adopted. I'd learned that the Weres were prone to fertility problems, and I assumed that the Pelts had given up on having their own little Were...

Page 144 DTTW "Oh, I can't," she said bitterly. "I've been abjured. I can't change with Alcide's pack anymore. They have license to kill me, if I do." "What did you shift into, anyway?" "Lynx." That was appropriate.

Charlaine was asked this questions last month in Houston you can hear her own answer here

The answer was "I made a mistake " I hope this helps clear this mystery up a little.

Also from DTTW

"And what does she shift into?" Shape-shifters had a choice, but there was one animal each shifter had an affinity for, her habitual animal. A shape-shifter could call herself a "were-lynx" or a "were-bat," if she was out of hearing range of a werewolf. Werewolves objected very strenuously to any other two-natured creatures who termed themselves "Were."

True Blood in Dallas, Fangtasia's basement and Scandinavia !

What ? In Season 2 we see Dallas, the Fangtasia basement and Eric's past in 10th century Scandinavia ?

Yes, Alex mentioned in yesterday video interview that there is a new set for Season 2 of the Fangtasia basement and said"we are going to Dallas"[interview here ]

Here is some new news for Season 2 from Kristin on E!

Lindsay in Houston: I cannot wait until this summer! Talk to me about True Blood!
Sookie’s power is not unique to her. She’ll meet a young Texan named Barry who rea
ds minds, and they freak each other a little when they discover each other’s powers. Also, great news for us Eric fans: We’ll be catching up with him in 10th century Scandinavia, likely when he was first turned into a vampire. Holler!

Go Ask Dallas : who are the mysterious weres in the car who bring Sookie back to the Silent Shore hotel in 'Living Dead in Dallas' ?

EA writes:

Dear Dallas-
As I was rereading Living Dead in Dallas, something caught my eye. After Sookie is treated by Dr. Josephus, she and Luna are picked up by two anonymous Werewolves. All we know is that one is male and one is female until the bottom of pg. 182 when the female who is driving asks Sookie if Eric "cross-dates". Luna replies, "You can't date a deader...come on, Deb-uh, girl!" Could that Debbie? As in Alcide's possesivemurderouspsychobitch Debbie?

Hmmm... very good catch EA !

Here is the part from the book - what do you guys think ?

"There's a vampire out front, waiting."
I almost ripped off the blindfold, before I realized that would be a really tacky thing to do. "What does he look like?"
"Very tall, blond. Big head of hair. Friend or foe?"
I had to think about that. "Friend," I said, trying not to sound doubtful.
"Yum, yum," said the driver. "Does he cross-date?"
"I don't know. Want me to ask?"
Luna and the passenger both made gagging sounds."You can't date a deader!" Luna protested. "Come on, Deb—uh, girl!"
"Oh, okay," said the driver. "Some of them aren't so bad. I'm pulling into the curb, little Milkbone."
"That would be you," Luna said in my ear.
