Todd Lowe Dishes on the Creepy Doll Living in Terry's House

Todd Lowe (Terry Bellefleur) appeared with Kristin Bauer (Pam) in concert to benefit his charity. In between bouts of rocking out, he took time to talk to True Blood’s Nest about Terry’s evolution.

“Well, Terry has found some normalcy in his life, which is what he wants more than anything. Everything that he saw in the war; the tumultuous tempest that goes on in his head with his PTSD. Now that he has a focus on a good life with a good woman — Terry sees her NO other way — and a family that he’s moved into, this is the best blessing that could ever be for him. He lives a domestic life. He is a caretaker and a bit of a breadwinner. Now, he’s got a good job — well, a solid job — and who knows if he might not have some stuff going on on the side to make a little bit more money.”

True Blood author thinks HBO series is bloody fun

It was the kind of sudden, unexpected twist that drives detail-oriented readers over the edge.
In the July 10 episode of True Blood, Academy Award-winning screenwriter Alan Ball's trippy TV adaptation of the Sookie Stackhouse series of novels by Charlaine Harris, fans of the books were shocked when Claudine, Sookie's fairy godmother, had her blood sucked dry by the dashing vampire and unrepentant ladies' man Eric Northman, played in the series by Alexander Skarsgard.
Claudine's sudden demise was a radical departure from the books, which kept her around much longer.
Then again, it's not the first time True Blood has played with readers' expectations.
Lafayette Reynolds, the short-order cook played by Nelsan Ellis in the TV version, was killed at the end of the first novel, but he remains very much alive -- and one of True Blood's most beloved characters -- in the HBO series' fourth season.

How does True Blood compare to the Sookie Stackhouse novels?

Unlucky 13. That's how many novels will complete the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. It's a fitting number for the sex-soaked gothic vampire novels that inspired the HBO TV hit True Blood. And fans better get ready to say goodbye: the 11th Stackhouse novel, Dead Reckoning was published earlier this month.

As fans of both the books and the show know, the Sookie Stackhouse world on screen is very different from that on the page. And while some authors hold the authenticity of their creation close to their hearts, Harris is completely fine with the creative liberties Alan Ball and the True Blood team have taken, and believes that Ball's vision has only made the adaptation stronger.

'True Blood' Recap: Eric Samples Daylight, Jason Escapes Hot Shot and Bill is Conflicted

It's a big day for Sookie's main men as Alexander Skarsgard gives an Emmy-worthy performance

While the title of this week's episode, "I'm Alive and On Fire," literally refers to the effects the sun has on Eric's skin after he gets drunk on fairy blood and tries to stay awake during the sunlight hours, it's also a metaphor for the many relationships beginning to burn up — or simmer down — among the supernaturals.
Vampires:
Immediately after apologizing for killing Sookie's fairy godmother, Eric passes out from drinking the fairy blood, then wakes up, drunk and hungry for Sookie's blood, giggling and pinching her "beautiful butt" en route back to their house. Let's just stop right here and give Alexander Skarsgard an Emmy nomination, OK? OK. His puppy-eyed amnesia vamp is a whole other level of appeal and acting that somehow makes us giggle like a schoolgirl more than his seductive airs normally do. And, let's face it, we'd all watch a straight hour of Amnesia Eric if that's how Alan Ball decided to craft the show.

True Blood: The Humans Are Coming Out on Top

If you own a TV, it is pretty much guaranteed that you are eventually going to have a conversation about True Blood. Even people who don’t watch True Blood seem to have an opinion about it, and trying to defend or explain this season to the uninitiated can feel like showing up to court in a Halloween costume. You’re out of context, you’re defensive, and you’re yelling about vampires. It's only Episode 4, but there are Uncle-Daddies, faeries, shapeshifters, witches, were-panthers, werewolves, and V-addicts. They all have different edges on each other like in rock-paper-scissors, they’re all evolving and intermingling, but somehow humans seem to be the ones moving up the food chain.

'True Blood' set design sees changes on the home front

Man, this is so cool !

As "True Blood" speeds along into Season 4, witches may have joined the cast of vampires, shape shifters, werewolves, fairies and cat people, but changes on the domestic front are what have really put design fans under a spell.
In painstaking detail, "True Blood" production designer Suzuki Ingerslev answered questions about the inspirations and resources used to create striking residences for the show's characters including Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer, above right), Vampire King of Louisiana, and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard, above left), now landlord with a swanky bachelor crypt in Sookie Stackhouse's family home. Chief among the topics in our email exchange with Ingerslev: the formerly mud-encrusted home of Sookie (Anna Paquin, right, with Eric).

Charlaine Harris interview with CBC Q show !

Charlaine Harris, the author of 11 Sookie Stackhouse novels, says she's ready to walk away from the best-selling series after 13 books.

Harris's books about the telepathic Sookie, a waitress in a small town who knows a vampire when she meets one, are the basis for the HBO series True Blood.
In an interview with CBC's Q cultural affairs show, Harris says she's "delighted" with the TV series, despite the fact that it's far from faithful to the books.
Creator Alan Ball "got the mixture of horror and sex and violence and humour that comprise the books," she said.

True Blood tells the story of 3 Men and A Trash Baby by Meredith Woerner

The amazing Meredith ....

Last night True Blood was all about weird creepy Mom fetishes. Sookie was Eric's Mom, Nan was Bill's Mom, and then someone had sex with their great-great-great-great grandchild. But this all just really par for course in Bon Temps, isn't it?
You're disgusting True Blood! To the Pro/Con list . . .
Besides the heaps of almost-cock-shots and Pam's wardrobe, I think we can all agree that this episode was a bit so-so. Last night just seemed like a lot of supernatural coddling. You know you've gone too far when stabbing a were-panther in the throat doesn't thrill you like it use to. Let's hope next week Pam gets revenge!

Eric-Sookie? Sunday's episode something you've probably been waiting for finally happens !

Lorrainecollins: Any scoop on Eric-Sookie?
Sorry, just wait while we giggle with delight. OK, we're ready to be professional now. Sookie likes this changed Eric. A lot. And in Sunday's episode something you've probably been waiting for finally happens. Best part is that it's not a dream. No, ma'am.

sanna_o75: You got anything good about Bill-Sookie in the middle of all the Eric-Sookie stuff??
Bill (Stephen Moyer) has awful timing. Horrific timing actually. In an upcoming True Blood episode he vamp-speed runs into a mostly naked Eric-Sookie moment, and to say he doesn't react well would be putting it mildly. But between the true death orders and heartbreaking look, it is abundantly clear that Bill still loves Sookie and would do anything to make her happy. Even if that means letting her move on with a gorgeous amnesiac Viking.

Cheesybones: What's coming up for Jason on True Blood now that he's turning into a were-panther?
Unfortunately for Jason (Ryan Kwanten), things are going to get worse before they get better. But let's not get too hasty on the turning into a were-panther thing. Those hotshot cats aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, so what are the chances they can pull off creating a were-panther from scratch? Besides, Jason will have other things occupying his mind. Remember all those sexy Eric-Sookie dreams? We can say that Jason is going to be having some graphic vamp blood dreams of his own, thanks to Jessica's (Deborah Ann Woll) healing powers.
