True Blood Star Carrie Preston Is really now a fiesty red -head

True Blood star Carrie Preston has decided to really get into her character and has transformed into the fiery red-head that she plays on the hit HBO show. The natural blonde decided that she wanted to look more like her character Arlene Fowler and RadarOnline.com was there as Carrie transformed into a feisty red head!

“I was a little tired of going to work and nobody recognizing me,” Carrie told RadarOnline.com exclusively as she spent the day at Gavert Atelier Salon in Beverly Hills where Stuart Gavert and Mika Fowler created her stunning new look.

Carrie wears a red wig on the show, and described what happened when she went to work each day with her natural blonde hair. “People who I worked with for two seasons would say hi and introduce themselves to me,” she laughed. “Next season I’ll ditch the wig and use my own hair,” Carrie told RadarOnline.com.

Amazon 'Dead in the Family' description

Amazon Dead in the Family description

After enduring torture and the loss of loved ones during the brief but deadly Faery War, Sookie Stackhouse is hurt and she's angry. Just about the only bright spot in her life is the love she thinks she feels for vampire Eric Northman. But he's under scrutiny by the new Vampire King because of their relationship. And as the political implications of the Shifters coming out are beginning to be felt, Sookie's connection to the Shreveport pack draws her into the debate. Worst of all, though the door to Faery has been closed, there are still some Fae on the human side-and one of them is angry at Sookie. Very, very angry...

Andy Swist True Blood March Contest!

March madness
Last month in honor of Valentines Day, I held a caption contest for a Holiday inspired cartoon. The prize awarded was a 4x6 sketch of the winner's choice of True Blood characters. The winner was DeeDee, and can you guess what character she picked? Here's a clue:

Well, seeing as this month is St.Patricks Day I suppose it's time for another contest.
This time I'm going to pick a person completely at random that's posted a comment. The winner will get a 4x6 sketch of their favorite BUFFY the Vampire Slayer character!

Why BUFFY? Well, I happen to be watching them all on DVD right now. I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out who my favorite character is. I'm torn between Giles and Willow. But really, I love them all. Right now I'm on season three, or is it season four? It's the season that they go off to college. Anyways, I love this show and hope you all do too. You do... don't you?

However, you can only post ONCE! Be fair: one chance per customer.
(Lissen up, DeeDee: I'm barring you from this contest so someone else can win, OK?)
So rub something Irish, and hope the luck transfers with your post.
The contest starts now until March 29th! Happy St.Paddy's and good luck to you!

'True Blood' to return June 13 HBO sets bow for hit vampire series

From Variety

The Sookie-Bill romance is about to be rekindled.

HBO announced that gothic vampire drama "True Blood" will begin season three June 13, the first of 12 episodes. Season two, which ended Sept. 13, drew record ratings, and by all accounts, is the cabler's most-watched show.

For the season-two finale, 5.1 million viewers tuned in. Cumulatively -- including video on demand, repeat telecast and DVR numbers -- "True Blood" drew more than 12 million per episode last season.

Cast changes for season three include the addition of Alfre Woodard and Kevin Alejandro ("Southland") and the loss of Michelle Forbes.

Series, exec produced by Alan Ball and Greg Fienberg, and starring Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Sam Trammell, is based on the series of novels by Charlaine Harris.

Elsewhere at HBO, cabler launched the first installment of the $200 million 10-episode miniseries "The Pacific" Sunday. Ratings for the segment should arrive Tuesday.

In other cable news, MTV's upcomoing scripted series "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" will launch 11 p.m. June 6, following the MTV Movie Awards. Half-hour laffer follows a late-blooming loser with an anatomical gift. Show, created by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith, will move to its normal Monday 10 p.m. timeslot June 14.

'True Blood' star defects to 'Good Wife'

I hope this doesn’t mean what I think it means.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Carrie Preston — a.k.a. True Blood’s Arlene — is heading to CBS’ The Good Wife for a multi-episode arc. She’ll play Elsbeth Mann (not a typo), a member of Peter’s (Chris Noth) legal team.

The timing of Preston’s casting is sure to raise questions about the fate of her True Blood character, particularly since the HBO smash is in the midst of shooting its third season in Los Angeles. The Good Wife, meanwhile, is based in New York.

Claude moves in with Sookie !!! Dead in the Family: New Review Publisher's Weekly

Dead in the Family Charlaine Harris. Ace, $25.95 (320p) ISBN 978-0-441-01864-2

Still reeling from the deaths of her fairy cousin, Claudine, and many others in 2009's Dead and Gone, Sookie Stackhouse struggles with paranormal politics in her entertaining if slow-moving 10th outing. When Claudine's triplet, Claude, appears at her doorstep, Sookie reluctantly allows him to move in. The government threatens two-natures with mandatory registration, and tensions run high in the local Were pack. Then Eric's maker, a Roman named Appius Livius Ocella, arrives without warning, bringing along Alexei Romanov, whom he rescued from the Bolsheviks and turned into a vampire. Though the action often builds too slowly, the exploration of family in its many human and undead variations is intriguing, and Harris delivers her usual mix of eccentric characters and engaging subplots. True Blood' Season 3 Gets An Official Premiere Date!

According to our good pal (otherwise known as Wikipedia), "The number 13 is associated with bad luck in some countries, and even has a specifically recognized phobia, Triskaidekaphobia." Well, throw that definition out the window because thanks to the folks in Bon Temps, that numeral should now be considered very lucky!

Why is that you ask? Oh because on Sunday, June 13, 2010, season three of the hit HBO series "True Blood" will premiere!! This is so exciting for oh-so-many reasons (you know, besides the fact that Alexander Skarsgard will finally return — naked — to our living rooms), but because we don't have enough time or space to list them all, just know that this chapter of the show will flaunt a badass new werewolf (who comes complete with real wolves), a new boy toy for Lafayette, a new girl for boy toy Jason Stackhouse, an "erotic connection" between Sam and Bill and, last but not least, cameos by Godric!!

While you're chewing on this news, Crushers, tell us below what you're most looking forward to see on "True Blood" come June!
