Conscience off, dick on: True Blood's back, bitches

Team Talk Blood Radio member, Meredith Woerner posts her first TB ep review -as always her 'pros and cons' are hilarious and not to miss!

True Blood has returned to us! Pick up right where it left off last year, and find out what happened to Vampire Bill, how Jason's penis is doing, and who is dream sexing! NSFW screengrabs.

Welcome back True Blood, it's been way too long since I've watched a werepuppy and a stick-in-the-mud vampire wag their half-open mouths suggestively at each other. But no more will I go weeks without gratuitous male ass shots and over-the-boob angles. Last night was the season premiere of the 3rd season of True Blood and the return of Alan Ball's sweet, sweet one hour mind fuck. We missed you big fella!

The first episode for season 3 was a slow burn. It seemed like the majority of the time was spent getting the rest of the world up to speed on what happened last season. Fair enough. There were a lot of annoying appearances by Tara's Bible-straddling, weepy-eyed mother. Plus they dragged the Queen's horrible carcass back into frame with Eric one more time, just to remind you how terrible she truly is. But there were also fistfulls of Jason-isms, Lafayette one-liners and nakedness. So really it was win for both newcomers and trubie alumni. While the audience didn't learn a lot about what was going to happen this year, I think we're all on the same page now as to who will be fucking what and who and so forth in the future. You know, the important stuff. And with that said, let's get to the Pros and Cons episode recap.

Pro: Show starts right where they left off last year. Bill has been vamp-napped and Sookie is still wearing the french twist up-do she tragically decided to sport last year. Granted, that's her style. Don't get me wrong, I like Anna Paquin, but Sookie is intolerable. Fingers crossed this year she will act like a human being.

Stephen Moyer Playboy interview ( no really it's an interview)

Pg 2/ pg 3

Kristin Bauer talks Pam

For an actor, there's obvious appeal in playing a supporting character. Aside from the reduced time commitment, there's less pressure since the project doesn't ride on their shoulders and are typically given the best lines. So when a show upgrades a fan favorite from recurring to full time -- as "True Blood" did with vampire Pam for season three -- there is some fan fear involved.
Mostly we worry everything we loved about the character will be thrown out the window in order to create a three dimensional person. But once again "True Blood" proves itself to be unflappable since they've been able to retain everything we adored about Kristin Bauer's character while also giving us what we never knew we always wanted -- more.
More pink, more one-liners and more of a grasp on who this woman truly is. After coming out of the series regular gate like a champ, we caught up with Kristin to find out where Pam is headed this season, if she'll be doing it in a pastel shade and why she had to taunt us with stories of naked Alexander Skarsgard.
Note: PopWrap is teaming up with HBO for a fantastic fan-focused online event on Sunday June 20 at 9pm. Details below!
PopWrap: Not trying to be biased, but I think Pam had some of the best scenes in Sunday's season premiere.
Kristin Bauer: It’s been like that all season. I get an email saying, “the script’s coming” and I stay home to read them immediately. And every single script that came was a new reveal about who Pam is and that has been endlessly fun. The sarcasm has stayed and the great outfits have stayed, but they’ve added this other layer where we actually find out who she is, how deep her relationship with Eric is, sexually who she is, how tough she is, how loyal she is and it’s incredibly fun.

Stephen Moyer: 'True Blood' sex is like 'a big muffin'

One of the sexiest undead guys on television – True Blood's Bill Compton aka Stephen Moyer – chatted with Playboyabout the show, his relationship and the paparazzi. Check out excerpts from the Brit's revealing interview:
On the Blood's explicit sex scenes: "Sex on our show is like a big muffin that's heating up, overflowing and expanding in an oven. This time last year I was thinking, 'What the (expletive) are we going to do next year to top this?' Well, I can tell you it's weird and exciting this year. As I said, the show is more character-centered — and I'm not saying it's better or worse for it — but there's certainly just as much, if not more, interesting sex because of it."

Meet ‘True Blood’s’ Newest Shapeshifter: Marshall Allman

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
This Sunday, “True Blood” returns to HBO with its second episode from Season 3, and fans are going to get to know a lot more about a new young blood — Sam Merlotte’s little brother, Tommy Mickens.
Played by Marshall Allman, formerly of “Prison Break,” the Austin-bred actor has come into the series ready to cause trouble in his long-lost older brother’s already dramatic life.
“By far, for me this is the best character I’ve ever played,” Marshall told AccessHollywood.com of Tommy, a mechanic/shapeshifter who has already tried to have his brother run over while in animal form. “He’s definitely the most complex, the most rich.”
Without giving too much away, Marshall is locked in for the season as Tommy, who is heading to Bon Temps and Merlotte’s with mischief for Sam on his mind.

True Blood fan Snoop Dogg sings " Oh Sookie" an ode to Sookie

Vampires for Snobs from WSJ

Love it or not, HBO's Southern gothic series à la vampire, "True Blood," is a big flashing sign of the times (Sundays, 9-10 p.m. ET). In a little more than a century, we have gone from the Victorian shocker "Dracula"—in which taboo eroticism had to be disguised as horror—to an era when a TV creator's biggest nightmare is finding a taboo left to violate.

"True Blood" fits the bill partly in a jokey way, offering the story of backwoods-Louisiana waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her vampire boyfriend Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) as if their lovemaking were a socially transgressive act. But not wrong in any way. She's a perky twentysomething, he's a Civil War veteran: What could be more natural than that?

Alan Ball’s ‘True Blood’s Writing Process: It All Begins With the Books:

True Blood‘ fans would give up their own blood to be a fly on the wall of the show’s writers’ room.  Season three’s plot twists are a closely guarded secret.  Many have wondered what mysterious alchemy transforms Charlaine Harris’s best selling Sookie Stackhouse books into the brilliant insanity of ‘True Blood.’  Series creator and showrunner Alan Ball shined enough light to incinerate a vampire on the writing process in time for Sunday’s premiere (HBO, 9/8c).
Step 1: It All Begins With the Books:
“We always start with the books.  We have been sort of focusing on one of Charlaine’s books per season so we started with the third book, which is called Club Dead.  As always, our big challenge in translating books to the series is to open up the world outside of Sookie’s experience because Sookie [Anna Paquin] is the narrator of the books so the books are basically her story.  So we look at what the books have and figure out a way to give all of other major characters stories that will somehow fold into the main story, the Sookie/Bill story.  That’s what we did, just like we did the first two seasons.”
Deciding when to deviate from the Books:
“It’s a totally organic process.  A lot of times there are a lot of people pitching ideas.  A lot of times we’ll find if we totally stick to the books here, how is that going to affect later on because we’re breaking the story three of four episodes down the line.  It’s like well what if he wasn’t this but he was this instead? There’s not a formula. It’s pretty much gut instinct.”

‘True Blood’s’ Ryan Kwanten Writing Advice Book, "The G- Strtegy"

Oprah Winfrey has had a host of guests visit her famous couch over the years who have offered life advice to her audience of millions, but could “True Blood’s” Ryan Kwanten be heading there in the coming months?
Ryan, who plays the ripped-but-intellectually-light Jason Stackhouse on the hit HBO vampire series, isn’t just an actor – he’s a writer too, one who has penned his own self-help book “The G-Strategy.”
Likely due for release in “early-mid next year,” the Australian actor told AccessHollywood.com recently that the book is part self-help guide, part parody, depending on the reader.
So is he taking aim at the books men and women buy to help boost their self esteem, Access asked?
“It’s actually both men and women, the self help books,” he said. “Predominantly, with men, it’s more the finance type world. With those, you’ve got the Wall Street guys that lap up anything that is a chance to make a quick buck and then with the women, I guess it’s sort of the more — without being too generalized — sort of the more emotional sort of type stuff that’s gonna make you happy.”

True Blood 3 Ep2 Ask Ausiello spoilers !

Question: The True Blood premiere was awesome. What’s coming up, ahem, necks? —Tyler
Ausiello:
Tee-hee. You swapped next for necks in a question about True Blood. Tee-hee. Here’s some prattle for you, straight from series creator Alan Ball: In the second half of the season, “all hell breaks loose,” he tells my colleague Tim Stack. “Certainly, everybody finds themselves in danger. Loyalties are tested. There’s a lot of deceit.” And though the lies will be spread around, the dots will connect in the end. The stories “do converge,” Ball confirms, culminating in a season finale that he calls “very big. [But] it doesn’t center around one particular event the way the first one did. The first one was all about Rene chasing Sookie. The second one was all about Maryann’s ritual. This [time], there are a lot of big events” leading up to “definitely more than one cliff-hanger.” I’m on the edge of my seat already!
Question: I saw pictures of Allan Hyde at the True Blood premiere. Any chance Godric’s going to return this season (yeah, he died, but you know what I mean)? —Maiyer
Ausiello:
I think there’s a very good chance of him returning. And soon. Know what I mean
