True Blood Season Two Spoiler : Michelle Forbes says " I am a maenad, which is a supernatural wood-nymph creature"
From eonline
Brenda in Augusta, Maine: Any news about season two of True Blood? Do you know what Michelle Forbes' deal is? I love everything she does and that mystery intrigues me.
~~
I talked to Michelle at a Paley Center event honoring DirecTV's relaunch of Wonderland, and she told me that on True Blood, "I am a maenad, which is a supernatural wood-nymph creature. There are a lot of strange creatures in crazy old Bon Temps."

True Blood Behind the Scene: The FotS bus
My husband and I saw this bus on the side of Burbank Blvd. near Encino. I'm not sure if it True Blood, but if you click the picture to make it larger, the bus has what looks like a Fellowship of the Sun logo and it says "Light of Day Institute." We are going out again in a little bit and I'm going to look to see if they are still there to get a better look at the logo.

Introducing "True Blood's" Fresh Meat
Pop Wrap at New York Post gets everyone all together in one nice article
Hello once again to all my fang bangers. Oh, how I have missed you in a months since our beloved "True Blood" went underground. It's been so hard getting through Sunday nights without trips to Merlotte's, no? Well I felt it was time to take a trip back down to Bon Temps because there has been casting news a go-go in recent weeks, and I think it's high time we talk about what their addition means for Sookie, Sam, Jason and Tara.
Let's start with Preston Jones, who was just officially added to the cast today. He will be playing ... well, we don't know what character Preston will be, but since everyone else that has been added to the cast is playing some sort of "good guy" (we'll talk about them after the jump!), I am going to assume Preston is evil.
He's got the fair skin of a sunlight-a-phobe, but since creator Alan Ball teased that, "there's a new creature in town that is unlike any other. Nobody knows what this creature is, I'm not sure if it will be entirely explained in the show -- it's not a werewolf," I am going to pretend, for now, that is what we're looking at here.
Let's break down the rest of "TB's" newbies after the jump.
Next up is Ashley Jones. She is moving in to Merlotte's as Daphne, the joint's new waitress. Given that the bar has a higher staff turnover rate than the midnight-6 a.m. shift at Denny's -- Amy, Dawn, Lafayette? -- it's no surprise she's only booked for six episodes right now.
Alan also teases that Sam gets a new love interest in season two, so perhaps it will be Daphne who puts a little 'zoinks!' into the shapeshifters slacks in Tara's absence.

Luke will be played by Wes Brown for at least half a dozen episodes. And given the fact that Wes looks like a lesser Chris Evans, I think you can all understand my hope that this kid gets the Stackhouse-treatment from the producers quick and frequently.
Speaking of Fellowship of the Sun, we've previously met Steve Newlin, the head of the church, and with the addition of Anna Camp we will soon be meeting his better(?) half. The actress will play Sarah, in a casting announcement that continues to reaffirm my belief that the Fellowship will become a major presence for the show's second season.

Jason will also be getting some more loving -- shocker! -- this season. So I can't be the only one concerned that the combination of his insane body and lack of scruples will lead to a little illicit loving with Mrs. Newlin, can I?
Up next is Todd Lowe, who plays Terry, the PTSD cuz of disliked Andy Bellefleur. Perhaps he will continue to simply be a presence at Merlotte's as he was for most of last year, but then again, we should not forget his season finale declaration that everyone should start listening to him because he knows things.
Finally, there is the most controversial addition to the cast -- Jessica, Bill's newly minted vamp. The scared little girl we met rapidly turned bratty and bitchy once she became a vampire and moved in with Bill. Obviously her presence is going to test Sookie and Bill's love, but will it test the audience's patience too? Looks like we'll have to wait a bit to find out -- season two is slated to return this summer to HBO.

a little gossip on Ryan today...
RYAN KWANTEN from True Blood at the Wokcano in Santa Monica, which is also apparently a dance club (horrors). He crashed some girl's private party to stand on the elevated balcony (all the better to look down on everyone else) and then proceeded to dance with and chat up girls, even after introducing them to his wife. Um, ick? Also, his IMDb says he is 5'10'' - lies. [Hollywood PrivacyWatch is written by and for Defamer readers; send your sightings to tips@defamer.com.]

Things I've learned while watching True Blood (3)
Make sure you do a background check on the person giving you an exorcism before you fork over $799.95.
Never kidnap and try to keep a Vampire as a pet.
Don't ever let a stranger bail you outta jail no matter how desperate ya are.
It's OK to dress like a tramp, but people had better treat you like a lady no matter what.
Make sure you keep a beautiful white night gown around. You never know when you're going to run through the woods to have sex for the first time in your life with a dam fine looking Vampire.

Dead as a Doornail- Review
The Mobid Romantic reviews Dead as a Doornail
What’s the Southern mystery this time? There is a sniper on the loose who seems to be targeting only shifters (and Sookie, but she has very poor luck). Not only that, but who tried to burn down Sookie’s house with her in it? In this book five of the Southern Vampire Mysteries, Dead as a Doornail, Sookie is almost burned to death, attacked by wolves during a ceremony, shot in the shoulder, harassed by Eric who desperately wants to know what happened during his period of amnesia, and faced with Bill reentering the dating world. Her friendship is also on the fritz with Alcide. Oh, and if that’s not bad enough, she is a suspect in the death of shifter Debbie Pelt, which is probably the only one thing that happens that she actually deserves.
Problems don’t belong to only Sookie, though. Jason is a suspect in the shifter shootings (the Stackhouses must be cursed), though he is adapting nicely to his new life as a shifter and, in fact, quite likes it. Tara Thornton, Sookie’s best friend, is the unwilling girlfriend to a violent and dominating vampire named Mickey. Alcide has his worries over his father becoming pack leader.

OK , so now you want a rainbow umbrella just like Sookie's
Here is a cute one
Singin' In The RainbowCOLOR WHEEL UMBRELLA
There's nothing like a colorful rainbow to cheer up the dreariest of rainy days. This big and bright color spectrum umbrella from the Museum of Modern Art's collection will protect you from the rain and brighten your spirits on a cloudy day. For it's size, it is extremely lightweight. Well designed and constructed, it opens and closes easily with a simple push or pull - no pinched fingers here! The bright silver hook handle is an elegant touch to the bold wheel of color, including shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.
Target also has a little foldable one

OK, Stephen is a funny as Curly from the 3 Stooges
Looking the sequence of photos taken of Stephen walking through the True Blood set , it struck me as to what he's doing with his hands as he walks, is seems he may be doing like the snap with the hand, into a fist and then into the palm of the other hand...
Anyway, all I could only think of the hilarious Curly Howard of the 3 Stooges doing that movement ...

Virtual mainstreaming
By Simon Dyda
Ever since the 'Great Revelation' growing numbers of 'fangophiles' have been joining the ranks of the American Vampire League and voicing their support for the Vampire Rights Amendment to the US constitution. More and more of your undead neighbours in the US have been 'mainstreaming' into American society. Similar events are unfolding across the globe, although there are plenty of less progressive parts where mainstreaming is still not an option. In these cases the internet has been of invaluable assistance, offering vampires the opportunity to integrate on a 'virtual' level with human society even when that is not possible in the real world. And in those countries where it is possible to mainstream, the internet has proven to be of great help for those vampires taking their first steps towards social integration.
For most vampires the internet experience has been thus far pretty interesting. My impression as an AVL volunteer has been that they enjoy dropping in to their myspaces, facebooks, bebos, youtube channels, blogs and twitters and interacting with their human cyberfriends. The vibe is generally a good one. Sure, there are always a few weirdos leaving creepy comments about silver bullets, stakes and sunrises and what have you, but these are easily deleted and their authors shown to the virtual door.
However, some of our nocturnal kin are being overwhelmed with messages and requests. Remember, nobody likes a needy cyberfriend. Just because a vampire drinks Tru Blood doesn't mean that they have either the time or the inclination to help you get hold of some, especially considering that you don't actually need it yourself, now do you? Another thing: just because vampires have such very long lifespans doesn't give you the right to demand their time or tell them what to do. Be nice, relax. Social networking has to be fun, whether you're human or vampire, so keep it that way.
Read on ..fascinating !

OD notes in a text this morning that she thinks that Anna still has the same hairstlye as in the season finale ( the curls) so when these were taken they must have still been filming the first couple of episodes...oh and she also thinks Stephen looks great in black :)
