Being Human US returns January 16th !
Now on to Season 2 of the US version of Being Human !
Meredith writes ....
How does the second season of Syfy’s Being Human stack up to the first? Read our review!
We've seen the first two episodes — here is our slightly spoilery run-down on the new season.
We watched the episodes "Turn This Mother Out" and "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" back-to-back, and here is our first impressions of the new season.
The Good
Beautiful Monsters: After we watched Bishop's head fly magnificently into the good night one thing was certain, Being Human was starting to look good, real good. Gone away is the odd shaky lens that haunted the first few episodes. This show has finally found a look all its own, and removed itself from "new TV show shot in Canada for Syfy" category. While still very simple and budget conscious, we noticed little touches of light and color, and the sets felt authentically Bostonian (which is where the series takes place). We're thrilled that whatever changed halfway through the first season (most likely $$$) hasn't been lost in the second.

True Blood Christmas Carols 2011 Part 3 Vampire Wonderland
(sung to the tune of “Winter Wonderland”)
Werewolves howl, are you listening?
In the dark fangs are glistening
A frightening sight, the dead walk tonight
Living in a vampire wonderland.
Over there stands a shifter
And a blood draining drifter
A typical sight in Bon Temps tonight
Walking in a vampire wonderland
Near a tombstone I can see a new grave
Soon a vampire rises from the dirt
He will want to drink blood in the worst way
Gosh I hope this isn’t going to hurt!
Later on we’ll conspire
To have sex by the fire
And face unafraid the marks that he made
Living in a vampire wonderland.

Denis the menace
Meeting Denis O’Hare should be scary as hell. After all, this is the man who plays two of TV’s reigning supervillains: The horny vamp leader on True Blood and a mysteriously deformed psychopath who just suffocated a potential homebuyer on American Horror Story. But today, in the back of homo-hot-spot Saint Felix in West Hollywood on his day off, O’Hare doesn’t project any of that eeriness.
So far during the debut season of the smash FX show, O’Hare, as the scarred weirdo Larry Harvey, has doused a house in gasoline, killed another man’s mistress and fought fervently for a home that’s become a tough sell — and not just because the economy sucks.
“I don’t think he’s evil,” O’Hare says. “He’s acting out of a particular desire for something. For me, all characters have a justification for their behavior; they always think that what they’re doing is necessary for a reason. Even the Phantom of the Opera has a real reason: He was in love with someone, he was scarred, he wants love and revenge.”

True Blood Christmas Carols 2011 Part 2 " Eric the Vampire"
True Blood Christmas Carols- Eric the Vampire
(sung to the tune of “Frosty the Snowman”) Eric the vampire
Was a very scary guy
With his ice blue eyes and his big white fangs
And the fact that he could fly Eric the vampire
Owned a Shreveport bar they say
He sat on a throne and it was well known
That he lay as dead all day. There must have been some magic in that
Telepath they found
When Sookie solved Longshadow’s crime
Eric thought “She will be mine”. Eric the vampire
Was determined as can be
He brought Bill to trial, with a wicked smile,
Brought back Jessica with glee Thumpetty thump thump,
thumpety thump thump,
Look at Eric’s eyes.
Thumpetty thump thump,
thumpety thump thump,
Through the night sky he flies. Eric the vampire
Wants a telepath we know
With Pam by his side Eric tried and tried
To get Bill to let her go Sookie is frightened
Of the ancient Viking vamp
Can Bill keep her safe? Will his vampire waif
Drive Sook into Eric’s camp? Thumpetty thump thump,
thumpety thump thump,
Look in Eric’s eyes.
Thumpetty thump thump,
thumpety thump thump,
Through the night sky he flies.

True Blood Christmas Carols 2011 Part 1
If you are a newer fan of True Blood you may not know all these great True Blood inspired Christmas Carols ... They were created by the amazing and talented fans that once populated the HBO fan site called HBO forum.
It's gone now but I save them and I enjoy them every year ... I'll post a few everyday for the next few days!
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Away in a Graveyard (sung to the tune of "Away in a Manger")
Away in a graveyard,
Just dirt for his bed,
Vampire Bill Compton
lay down his sweet head.
The stars in the sky
looked down where he lay
The Vampire Bill Compton,
asleep in the day.
The maenad is roaming,
The vampire wakes,
But Vampire Bill Compton,
no victim he takes;
I love you Bill Compton,
I see how you try
To only drink True Blood
so no one will die.
Be near me, Bill Compton
And let us not fight
Just love me forever,
and love me tonight
I know you're a vampire
You can drink from me
Just don't bite my neck, dear
Where others can see.

NPR-- Bianculli Picks The Best (And Worst) TV Of 2011
I can't tell you how much I have loved American Horror this year!
7. American Horror Story (FX) The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who previously worked together on Glee. The central story has Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott moving into a house where the previous tenants were found dead. Bianculli says it "may be the scariest TV show" he's ever seen, and it leaves him thinking about the characters long after he's turned off the TV set.
10. True Blood (HBO) The HBO vampire series created by Alan Ball is a soap opera, pure and simple, said Bianculli in a review that aired originally on June 9, 2010. "Or more accurately, it's a soap opera, impure and complicated." The show's constant plot twists — and the regular introduction of new characters — keep Bianculli hooked. And "for a safe, long-term investment in pop culture's fascination with the paranormal, I say take your money and let it ride on vampires," he said last May. "They're undead in more ways than one — every generation, they always seem to earn a brand new life.

More Charlaine Harris / True Blood Christmas books and stories
Wolfsbane and Mistletoe
*includes Sookie short story " Gift wrap"
New York Times bestselling authors Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, Keri Arthur, Carrie Vaughn, and Karen Chance-along with ten other masters of the genre-offer stories on werewolves and the holidays, a fresh variation on the concept of birthdays and vampires found in Many Bloody Returns.
The holidays can bring out the beast in anyone- particularly lycanthropes. Charlaine Harris and Toni L. P. Kelner have harvested the scariest, funniest, saddest werewolf tales by an outstanding pack of authors, best read by the light of a full moon with a silver bullet close at hand.
Whether wolfing down a holiday feast (use your imagination) or craving some hair of the dog on New Year's morning, the werewolves in these frighteningly original stories will surprise, delight, amuse, and scare the pants off readers who love a little wolfsbane with their mistletoe.
Shakespeare's Christmas (Lily Bard Mysteries, Book 3):
Even in a sleepy Arkansas town, the holidays can be murder.
Lily Bard is going home for the holidays. More comfortable in baggy sweats than bridesmaid's frills, Lily isn't thrilled about attending her estranged sister's wedding. She has moved to Shakespeare, Arkansas, to start a new life, cleaning houses for a living, trying to forget the violence that once nearly destroyed her. Now she's heading back to home and hearth--just in time for murder.
The town's doctor and nurse have been bludgeoned to death at the office. And Lily's detective boyfriend suddenly shows up at her parents' door. Jack Leeds is investigating an eight-year-old kidnapping and the trail leads straight to Lily's hometown. It just might have something to do with the murders...and her sister's widowed fiancé. With only three days before the wedding, Lily must work fast to clean up the messy case before her sister commits...marriage!

Fairytale TV'
I hadn't thought that True Blood opened the door for the wave of Fairy Tale TV shows ( i love Grimm!)
In the past couple of years there has been an increase of supernatural and mystical themes in television, and the viewers (including myself) are eating it up at an astronomical rate. Vampires, witches, werewolves, and fairytale characters alike are all popping up on our television screens, much to our excitement.
So why do we love these other worlds so much? Isn't it obvious, our lives are so busy and stressful that we need a true escape. All TV is an escape from reality, but when we open our minds and our homes to these mystical beings we are truly in a different place. For example, when you tune into The CW's hit, The Vampire Diaries, you are whisked away to a world where vampires and humans are falling in love. Who hasn't had a daydream of a supernatural love? Especially if said vampire looks like Damon (Ian Somerhalder). We watch Elena struggle with the battle between her love for Stefan and her budding love for Damon. Who does she choose? Either way she hurts someone she loves, and breaks viewers hearts.

Merry Christmas message from Charlaine Harris
This isn’t an original idea, but it’s one I’m going to emphasize. From now until Christmas, we’re going to be in hurry, hurry, hurry and panic, panic, panic, mode. We may spend and eat too much. We may be determined our house will be perfect for the holidays, and we may be convinced that we have to have a huge pile of gifts under the Christmas tree.
None of that is necessary. You know that, right?
In a year, who will remember that your house was perfectly clean and orderly for the holiday? Who will remember that every single item on the wish list wasn’t under the tree? No one. Unless you have some seriously odd relatives.
Here’s my suggestion: make a ritual of necessity. When you wrap gifts, put on Christmas music. Make sure the house is as empty as you can get it. Assemble everything you’ll need. While you wrap, think about the people you’re giving to, and why you’re giving them a gift. I guarantee you’ll be happier.
When you clean your home, set aside some time to do it and give it that time and no more. Don’t make yourself crazy, and delegate. Enlist help if you need it. Even if you can simply assign one family member to clean all the mirrors and TV screens in the house, that’s something.
If at all possible, start cooking early and freezing things.
Nothing will prevent the holidays from being anything but busy, but you can cut down on the frantic rush.
Listen to me handing out this good advice . . . and wondering if I can stick to it myself!
Relax. Smell the Christmas trees.

A woman who is comfortable being completely naked and playing a corpse. There will be extensive body make up, as well as fake blood to imply you were killed by vampires. This scene takes place in 1905, so they are looking for a woman who has not had a breast job or ANY plastic surgery. They are also looking for a woman who is Not a size zero. Women back then were definitely more curvy. Having a Belly is great for this one. Dress size between 8-14. Looking for a Character woman. The more unattractive the picture, the better.

But Especially women with dress sizes between 8-12. They are looking for women who would not be considered classically Beautiful. The more unattractive the better. Character looks are encouraged

Background / Female / Caucasian / 25 – 60 /
A very funny featured bit. A lady sitting in a diner, that the leads will be talking about. They refer to her as Manic depressive and crazy. The more charactery, the better. So looks like we’ll be having a flashback from 1900′s, and even if I’m not sure about Kristin Bauer’s sizes, it could very well refer to the flashback where we learn how Pam became a vampire

Vampires for Guys-Dedicated to the manly appreciation of vampire fiction
If I resurrect the radio show this summer ( pun intented !) I'd like to have on Vampire guy!
I just reviewed a book in the “Thrall” series by Adams and Clamp. You can read it here. It really raised the question of what is meant by “vampire”. The bad guys in the Thrall series are vampire parasites. They attach themselves to the nervous systems of human hosts and take over. The concept reminds me of the aliens in Robert Heinlein’s “The Puppet Masters” which I enjoyed many years ago. They also remind me of “The Borg” in Star Trek: Next Generation.
So what’s the problem? The concept is based on other things that I’ve liked. And yet, are we still talking about “vampires”? The authors like to refer to the bad guys as vampire parasites and they get transferred to the hosts by biting. But I get the feeling that the authors are trying to trick me. Vampire fiction is hot, parasite fiction isn’t.

Denis the Menace-Getting down to earth with one of the scariest men on television
God, I sure hope everyone is watching American Horror Story . It's by far the best thing on TV since a wierd little vampire show about a telepathic barmaid started a few years back ;-) !
Meeting Denis O'Hare should be scary as hell. But today, in the back of homo-hotspot Saint Felix in West Hollywood on his day off, O'Hare doesn't project the eeriness he does as a horny "True Blood" vamp and mysteriously deformed man who just suffocated a potential homebuyer on "American Horror Story."
So far during the debut season of the smash FX show, O'Hare, who plays Larry Harvey, has dosed a house in gasoline, killed the-man-of-the-house's mistress and fought fervently for a home that's become a tough sell - and not just because the economy is sucking.
"Murder House," as it's called, is a freaky L.A. residence with a dark past and a new family: the Harmons, a threesome hopeful for a new start. But what's up with the neighbors, including Jessica Lange's crazy super-mom Constance? And who's this Larry guy and why is this house so important to him?
O'Hare leans back after taking a sip of his cranberry/orange/seltzer water concoction - his "incredibly demanding diva drink" - and tells us. "I don't think he's evil. He's acting out of a particular desire for something. For me, all characters have a justification for their behavior; they always think that what they're doing is necessary for a reason. Even Phantom of the Opera has a real reason: He was in love with someone, he was scarred, he wants love and revenge."

Fearnet Exclusive: Author Charlaine Harris on the Beginning and End of Sookie Stackhouse
True Blood may have many years left to it, but author Charlaine Harris has announced that the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels (a.k.a. the Southern Vampire Mysteries) on which the hit HBO series is based will conclude with the thirteenth volume (volume 12 is due out next year). I recently sat down with Harris for an extensive interview, which I'll be presenting in three parts. The next two parts will focus on Harris's thoughts about True Blood and on her upcoming graphic novel Cemetery Girl. But after the jump, you can read the first part of our conversation, in which Harris discusses her approach to writing, her influences, the creation of Sookie Stackhouse, the character's upcoming final adventures, and what she might do next.
You just finished writing the twelfth Sookie Stackhouse novel…
The penultimate book, because I'm going to finish with the thirteenth.
Is it tough to finish this series, to let it go?
It's tough to walk away from the money. [Laughs.] Yeah, it is going to be tough.
But you don't have to.
No. I don't have to. But I just felt like I'm finishing the story. I don't have anything left. That's what I've got. I don't want to keep writing when I'm running on empty. I think we all know writers who have continued to write the same characters when they run out of gas apparently. I just don't want to be like that.

Sookie's Bon Temps Thanksgiving Menu
I have almost 100 Sookie/ True Blood recipes on this blog and I thought we'd have a pretend Thanksgiving dinner with Sookie and the Bon Temps gang. Haha
This year Jason bought a turkey deep fryer at Sheridan’s Sport Shop and lots of peanut oil and he's going to deep fry the 10 lb turkey that he bought at Walmart. It's going to be raining tomorrow so everyone will have to pile inside.
Sookie is making: Corn Bread Dressing ( not stuffing!)
Mashed potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Sweet Potatoes with marshmallow
Ambrosia
Gran's Pecan Pie
Below you'll find more recipes.
Who else do you think is coming to dinner?
What are they bringing ?
Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!
Corn Bread Dressing
Ingredients
Corn Bread
- 1 (12-ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 2 tablespoons rubbed sage
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon margarine
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup chopped celery

Charlaine Harris to lecture at UCR Palm Desert
Charlaine Harris writer and creator of the world in which “True Blood” is based will bring her insights into the undead to Palm Desert next week for a lecture at UCR Palm Desert.
“The books have become cultural touchstones,” said Tod Goldberg, Administrative Director of UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center’s MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts.
Goldberg will moderate the lecture, which is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 as part of the Arts and Letters Lecture Series.
“The TV show has propelled her and her books into the cultural spotlight,” Goldberg said, adding that Harris’ 11 novels have spawned a new generation of vampires.
The popular fiction hits home for so many readers and HBO fans because of the quality of the author’s fantasy world, he said.
“She’s dealing with issues of sexuality and belonging that are part of what the fabric of humanity is,” Goldberg said.
He said Harris tackles the issue of “ who do you love, do you love the wrong person, or in this case the wrong vampire?”
The cost of the lecture is $20 and tickets can be purchased online.

Stephen Moyer confident of 'True Blood' future
Stephen Moyer has claimed that he thinks True Blood could continue for a couple more seasons.
True Blood was renewed for a fifth season by HBO in August, but the show's creator Alan Ball has admitted that he has considered leaving the show after that.
Ball's comments later sparked speculation about the future of the supernatural drama.
However, Moyer, who plays Bill, has now told E! Online that he does not think there is any reason why True Blood could not continue for several more years.

Work ensures I never get much time on the sofa with wife and co-star Anna Paquin, says True Blood's Stephen Moyer
MANY modern couples are kept apart by their jobs – long hours, business travel and endless back-to-back shifts mean it’s not uncommon for family life to be reduced to passing ships in the night and text-message romance.
But few relationships will ever be as distant, and as geographically difficult as that of True Blood lovers Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin, who spend at least half of the year apart chasing movie work all over the world.
In fact, according to the charming Mr Moyer, the only time that he and his Kiwi-born wife actually get to spend any quality time together, is when they are on the True Blood set watching the other one in an undead sex scene with a co-star. And often while covered in sticky fake blood.
The Essex-born actor, who has become an international pin-up as southern gentleman vampire Bill Compton, is excited that he’s finally about to return to his day job on the HBO show after another busy, globe-trotting summer and autumn.

Anne Rice Compares Her Characters to Twilight Vampires
Rice wrote: “Lestat and Louie feel sorry for vampires that sparkle in the sun. They would never hurt immortals who choose to spend eternity going to high school over and over again in a small town —- anymore than they would hurt the physically disabled or the mentally challenged. My vampires possess gravitas. They can afford to be merciful.”
What do you think–how do the two vampire books stack up? The post has already generated more than 8,000 likes and 1,800 comments on Facebook. (Via)

Exclusive: Is True Blood Casting Alcide's Father? (Plus Other Season 5 Intel)
The fifth season of True Blood promises to be a hairy one — the show is hunting for actors to play werewolves galore, including one who sounds suspiciously like he could be Alcide’s father!
The lycanthrope in question, J.D., is said to be a hard-bodied fiftysomething who isn’t likely to share a water bowl with the new pack leader anytime soon. And since 1) that sounds a lot like Alcide to begin with, and 2) his pop features prominently in Charlaine Harris’ fifth Sookie novel, well, you can do the math!
My picks to play the part? Maybe Andy Garcia? Mitch Pileggi, who just took another recurring role in the Dallas reboot… or what about Mr. Intensity himself, Vincent D’Onofrio?

Alexander Skarsgård: The 'Melancholia' Star on Why He's Excited to Get Back to 'True Blood'
Alexander Skarsgård is exhausted. The night before our meeting at New York’s Crosby Street Hotel, he attended a screening for his latest film, Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, which led into a late-night after-party at the Jane. “I’m so hungover,” he says, slouching so deep into a plush armchair that’s almost lying on his back. It’s been a while since the 35-year-old Swedish actor has been allowed to let loose. Since wrapping production on the fourth season of True Blood this summer, he’s filmed two back-to-back movies: What Maisie Knew, a relationship drama costarring Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan, and Disconnect, an ensemble tech-thriller in which he plays Paula Patton’s roving husband.
In the next two days, he’ll fly to Stockholm for a week of rest, and then to Louisiana to start production on The East with Brit Marling, Ellen Page, and Patricia Clarkson. When that wraps, he’ll head straight back into the sexy, sordid world of exsanguination as Eric Northman, television’s most magnetic vampire.

Eric's past and 2 roles being cast for season 5
'True Blood' casting call: A biblical new role ... and a very old friend for Eric -- EXCLUSIVE True Blood is introducing several new characters in season 5 — and EW got the early word on two of the roles.Creator Alan Ball and his team of scribes have put out a casting call for someone to play Nora, a beautiful and intelligent 25-to-35 something who plays a double agent within the Vampire Authority. What’s even better than that? She’s got a big history with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) because she’s a progeny of Godric. Nora will be a series regular role that may (or may not) involve a little nudity. (It IS True Blood, after all).
Meanwhile, Co-Executive Producer Raelle Tucker told EW that they’ll include a “very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year … a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.” Especially if you’ve read the Bible: The True Blood team also put out the call for someone to play Salome, as in THE Salome, daughter of Herodias, from the good book. She’s a powerful ancient vampire (hmm, don’t remember that part from the New Testament) and a world-class seductress who’s also a little mad. So she’ll fit right into Bon Temps

O’Hare splits villainy in two
Loving DO in " American Horror Story ' !!!
Denis O’Hare knows scary.
Not because he plays the unhinged Russell Edgington, the vampire king of Mississippi on HBO’s “True Blood,” or the creepy, scarred Larry Harvey on FX’s “American Horror Story” (Wednesdays at 10 p.m.).
It’s just that the 49-year-old actor has an affinity for things macabre.
That education has come in handy lately. O’Hare shined as the bloodthirsty, unforgettable Edgington in the third season of “True Blood,” and now as the disfigured Larry Harvey in “American Horror Story,” a dark series that may be difficult to define.

Being Human UK's newest vampire
There’s a Mitchell-shaped hole at the centre of Being Human, and the man with the unenviable task of filling it in series four is Damien Molony. Fresh out of drama school, he admits the task of playing the series’ new vampire Hal is daunting. But as SFX chats to Molony for an interview in issue 215, one thing is patently clear – Molony is Irish. He assures us, though, that Being Human isn’t just replacing one Irish vampire with another.
“I’m actually playing an English vampire!” he reveals. “Very, very posh. Very upper class. A stiff upper-lipped Brit, which is a bit of a push for me accent, but it makes it a lot more fun. I promise you, no! No, no, no – Hal’s not Mitchell 2. There’s a lot of back story to play with and I assure you he’s very, very different.”

Stephen Moyer : He's got the bite stuff
Out for blood?
Nope, but perhaps just out for some "poppyrock-jive-jazzy-fusion," as Stephen Moyer once dubbed the kind of music he used to make with his old band, and which there may or may not have been some of at the music shop he was spotted at in Toronto not too long ago.
The austere leading vampire from True Blood. Unincognito. In Toronto. At Steve's. On Queen. That would be the audiophile institution that's also a Sherwood Forest of hanging guitars. And before he could even really find where the "poppy-rocky-jive-jazzyfusion" section, he was recognized, pawed, lured into a say-cheese. Browsing, postHBO-stardom? Clearly not what it used to be.

Dedicated to David Thompson, Charlaine Harris among authors to honor.
And since David Thompson’s sudden death, a veritable who’s who of mystery authors — all of whom he called friends — have been writing dedications and acknowledgments to him in their new books. For Charlaine Harris, Lee Child, Ace Atkins, Alafair Burke, S.J. Rozan, Robert Crais, C.J. Box, Deborah Crombie, Bill Crider and others, Thompson was the guy who knew them when, the guy who talked up their books to a discerning readership.
Thompson, a longtime employee of Murder By The Book and publisher of Busted Flush Press, died suddenly in his home on Sept. 13, 2010. An undiagnosed condition — sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that can affect almost any organ — caused his heart to fail.

On May 1, 2012, Ace will release the Deadlocked, the next book in Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series.
"On May 1, 2012, Ace will release the Deadlocked "This slipped into press release - this is an early May date for Sookie ! Great !
Charlaine Harris's mega hit series about Louisiana barmaid Sookie Stackhouse will end with book 13 which will be released in May 2013. (HBO's True Blood is based on the series.)
But Harris is already busy with a followup new project, an original graphic novel trilogy. The first book, Cemetery Girl, will be published by Ace Books in 2013. The trilogy is a collaboration between Harris, dark fantasy writer Christopher Golden, and illustrator Don Kramer. Cemetery Girl will combine fantasy and paranormal mystery to tell the story of a teenaged girl with amnesia who has grown up living alone in amid the gravestones.

Charlaine Harris blogs about True Blood and suggests some books !
As long as I’m covering odds and ends, let me just insert a fact here. I love the TV show “True Blood.” I don’t write it. So all the complaints about the way the plot lines are different from my books, about the physical differences between Anna Paquin and Sookie Stackhouse, about the direction and future of the show . . . they’re lost on me, and a waste of time to express to me, because I don’t have anything to do with the writing of the show or its casting. While I appreciate reader involvement in both entertainment experiences, I can only affect issues regarding the books.
I’m not trying to be ungracious or rude, but realistic. If you have a beef with the way the show is plotted or cast, please send these observations to HBO or to Alan Ball. As I opened my office mail yesterday, I found myself wondering if Alan gets letters about how I write the books.
I think I’ll ask him.

Kiss of the vampire True Blood's Kristin Bauer sinks her teeth into her role.
Kristin Bauer plays vampire Eric Northman's icy-hearted progeny Pam De Beaufort on HBO's True Blood. In real life, Bauer loves playing the baddest bitch in Bon Temps. In a recent e-mail interview with City Link, the actress addressed the perks of playing a vampire and recalled the hilarious television role she played long before she developed fangs.
How has your life changed since True Blood went on the air?
Well, I now have to shower and wear some makeup to go to Starbucks. I have to borrow a little from Pam — be a tad more vain, as I could never say, “no” to a fan wanting a photo because I'm not wearing mascara. And I get asked my thoughts on things and I have lots to say about rights and free will, especially regarding animals, as they are truly innocent and voiceless. It is also possible playing Pam has opened the door to my being seen as a “fierce bitch,” I think is the term and I'm all for that typecasting.
