True Blood, The Obama Administration, and The Boning of Sookie

I get folks that think I agree with everything I post - I don't , sometimes I include critiques and you can take them for what they are worth. Feel free to comment.

Our critic on how Alan Ball's Southern vampire gothic has shape-shifted through four seasons into the kinkiest political metaphor of all time

Let me guess: Like the restless hipster you are, you bailed on HBO's True Blood last year if not earlier, am I right? You've got company. But maybe you don't have a better half who craved The Boning of Sookie (Anna Paquin) by blond-beast Vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) the way Cubs fans crave a World Series.
Once that was on the menu—and this season built to The Boning in the understated fashion of, say, J.K. Rowling announcing a new Harry Potter book—I surrendered the remote as fast as Obama making a concession. I know which side my fingers are buttered on, put it that way.

Sookie’s dream on True Blood ( a three way !)

I guess this is when we get the " imagine them both in her life" scenes we've been hearing about.

The Aug. 21 episode of “True Blood” is must-see for followers of the phantasmagorical, socially relevant and often hilarious series. Not only is the witch-versus-vampire war at full pitch, with various “shifters” running loose in the night, but Sookie has a dream sequence that will be much buzzed about: a fanciful feminist take on the vampire/human/vampire three-way. Something not everyone has considered before…
In a season mulling the ideas of altered identity, stolen identity and faked identity, (when does one’s most humane part excuse one’s basest behavior? when do we all engage in shape-shifting and masquerading?), the intimate relations of the three central characters remain compelling. A wild, invigorating ride.

What you need to know about tonight's True Blood Episode 4.08: “Spellbound

Episode #44 (#4.08): “Spellbound”: As Bill and Marnie brace for a dangerous midnight face-off, Sookie and Eric pledge their allegiance to the King. Jason is torn between friendship and passion, and Jessica is spurned from two homes. Lafayette becomes the pawn of a tormented spirit; Tommy takes a walk in someone else’s shoes; Sam contends with yet another adversary in Marcus, Luna’s ex and the leader of Alcide’s new pack.

Jace Everett’s new song ‘No Place to Hide Down Here’ featured tonight in Episode 8

I really like this guy - early on doing the Talk Blood Radio show he called in one Sunday night just to talk and it was great!

He posted this to his Facebook page :

For all you True Blood fans, check out tomorrow nights episode. "No Place to Hide Down Here", a recent song of mine, has wiggled it's way into the show!
