Blood Work! “True Blood” Vlog 4.3: “I’m Not Your F*cking Dinner”

Looks like everyone in Bon Temps ate a healthy bowl of Crazy Puffs this morning, because this week’s True Blood was insane in the membrane. In this installment of our internationally acclaimed and locally ignored Blood Work! vlog, Andy and I try to make sense of all of it. Suicidal beanbag witches! Amnesiac vampires with the munchies! Panther rape! Fairicide! Glamouring! And more creepy-ass dolls than you can shake Marie Osmond at!

“True Blood” 4.3 Clips and This Week’s Cocktail: The Mind Eraser

Another great drink from Andy and Brian

\This week’s True Blood cocktail is of course a tribute to everyone’s favorite blood-sucking viking, Eric Northman. Since the statuesque Swede has had his noodle scrambled by Marnie and her merry band of weeotches, I thought we should all join him with a Mind Eraser!
You know, so he won’t feel lonely.
Here’s the recipe:

The Mind Eraser
2 oz vodka
2 oz Kahlua
Tonic water
Combine vodka and Kahlua over ice in a rocks glass. Top with tonic, and prepare to be unprepared!

“True Blood” Blood Work Vlog 4.2: “You’re Covered in Queen”

The boys go punk ! We had a great time talking the other night - listen to the podcast, you can hear the ideas for their vlogs sometimes formulating !!

Thanks to HBO’s releasing the episode a little early and the July 4 holiday, this week’s Blood Work! is up and running. It of course covers the second episode of Season 4 of True Blood, the increasingly elaborate supernatural booty-pop sensation of the summer.
This week Andy and I tackle London, 1982 (with disastrous results), a few ladies in need of a little Witch Slappin’, and of course all the big moments from this week’s sexed-up, blood-spattered romp. Will it be enough to wipe Eric‘s wardrobe from YOUR memory? Watch and see!

Blood Work! "True Blood" Vlog 4.1: We Must Have Got Our Drag Queens Mixed Up

Yes and the boys are definitely returning Sunday night to Talk Blood Radio !!

That’s right, witches – Blood Work! is back with the same intoxicated brand of True Blood recappage that you have come to know and make every attempt to avoid when you run into it at the grocery store.
Andy and I went all out to capture the insanity of the season premiere, which included trips to the Fae plane, witches on bean bag chairs, and prancing ponies. We may have blown our wig budget for the entire year and almost burned the house down in the process, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT.
So join the fun below – and be sure to subscribe to the campbloodbuzz channel on YouTube so that you can be the first of your fiends to find out about new eps.
Now PRANCE, I SAY!

Blood Work! “True Blood” recap 3.10 recap: Part 1 and 2

Team Talk Blood members Andy and Brian break out a  2 parter this week!

That’s right, folks – Alan Ball’s band of merry manscapers have finally broken us … in two!
That’s right, folks – Alan Ball’s band of merry manscapers have finally broken us … in two! This week’s episode of “True Blood” had so much craziness to discuss that we just couldn’t fit it all into one episode, so in a Blood Work! first, we’ll be releasing the recap in two parts. In Part 1 we discuss the major plot points of this week’s episode, “I Smell a Rat” – and much like the episode, Part 1 ends with a cliffhanger!

Oh, and we start by tripping on acid and riding a rollercoaster through our apartment. Or as we like to call it: “Monday”.

Part I

Part II

In this half of the vlog we discuss Pam’s impossibly awesome (and impossible-to-pronounce) last name, Nan Flanagan’s shady ways, and much more.
Enjoy!

Blood Work! “True Blood” vlog 3.07: Escape from Lilith Fair

Team Talk Blood guys, Andy and Brian bring us their vlog for Ep 3.07

I gotta be honest, I don’t know which would be worse: Being trapped on a plantation full of bitchy gay vampires or being stuck in Sookie’s RenFair afterlife. In this episode of our True Blood recap vlog, Andy and I unleash our inner garden party and frolic bedside, Bon Temps style.
Soon enough we get around to discussing Lorena’s chocolate fountain climax, Sam’s fetish wear, and all the other nutty crap that went down in this week’s ep.
Hop into our Hot Tub Time Machine, after the break!

Blood Work! “True Blood” vlog 3.06: Suck Whatever’s Left

Good friends and 'Team Talk Blood' members Andy and Brian have a great time reviewing ep 6.

In this week’s episode of True Blood, Lorna Doone Lorena told Coot and Debbie to “suck whatever’s left” of undead, unfortunately-banged hero Bill Compton. In this week’s Blood Work! video recap, Andy and I do our best to suck the marrow out of the bones of an insanely overstuffed show.

Tara idiocy! Gay vampire flirting! Gay fry-cook flirting! Ginger waitress espionage! Scratch-offs!

Blood Work! "True Blood" vlog 3.05: SRSLYOMGWTF??

Talk Blood Team member's Andy and Brian " Bring it " for S3e05

Andy and Brian are back to tackle the "Trouble" in "True Blood" episode 3.05, but first Andy shows off his mad texting skills. With Lafayette's romance, Sam's cray-cray family, Tara's overbearing suitor, Eric's complicated Viking past and more to discuss, no wonder he's got so much to type! All this and more from CampBlood.org.

* Log in Blood Work! “True Blood” vlog 3.03: Twist and Shout

Talk Blood Radio team members, Brian and Andy just posted their #.03 episode vlog
" PULLED A MICKENS ! HAHA"

Sh-Sh-Sh-Shake it up, Lorena!
Yes, Gay Pride in NYC just so haaaaaaappened to coincide with the most insanely effed-up True Blood moment of the season … so of course Andy and I did what any good horror-lovin’ homos do when faced with vampire-induced severe spinal trauma: We threw a dance party!
Seriously, lady – this week’s episode had it all, from Bud Dearborne’s anal overshare to Pam’s Estonian boxed lunch to the greatest WTF sex scene in the show’s already quite checkered history. Relive it all – minus the chiropractor Bill bill – above.
Bonus: A screencap of the scariest thing you’ll ever see before your morning martini coffee, after the jump!

“Blood Work!” “True Blood” vlog 3.2: Beautifully Batshit

Andy and I are back with more disposable commentary on this season of True Blood! Did episode 3.02, “Beautifully Broken”, mark the return to all the batcrap Bon Temp craziness that we came to love in the first place?

(Computer says “yesssssss”….)

You’ll have to watch to find out! Plus, Whatever, Sookie!, our first Wolf Bag letter, and what might be a news flash about the whereabouts of one Bill Compton! Might.

Enjoy…

“Blood Work!” 3.1: Some Weres Over the Rainbow

The wait is ovah!
Yes, our Blood Work! vlog is back to cover all the ins and outs (and ins-and-outs) of the third season of True Blood. Back are popular features like “We Wanna Do Bad Things With You” and “Whatever, Sookie!” and we’re introducing a few new ones. Plus, we of course deliver all the mistreatment of cats, senseless asides and well-choreographed slap-fighting that you have come to know and love.
Enjoy it all, after the jump. And don’t forget to leave your questions for the new Wolf Bag feature in the comments!

It's CampBlood's "House of Horrors" DIY Halloween Special!

From Brian and Andy at Camp Blood

I'm as pickled as a prom queen in pig's blood to unveil CampBlood.org's latest video series, just in time for Halloween:

CampBlood "House of Horrors"!

We've married our loves of horror, entertaining and home projects into what will undoubtedly be the most insane (and insanely informative!) lifestyle series ever. It's the show that puts the "die!" in DIY!

For the first episode we’ve recruited a few of our ridiculously talented friends to devise some quick and easy Halloween-themed projects to help you get ready for the big day in just a few hours and for under $20 a pop:

* Ladyfingers! Christian shares his recipe for deliciously demented pretzels that look like severed lady’s digits. But first he has to get his nails did!

* Ghoul Makeup 1-2-3! Makeup artist Sacred turns horror hunk Joe Zaso into a walking corpse in under 20 minutes with basic supplies you can get at any drugstore. If you’re looking for a fun, easy look for a ghoul’s night out, you can’t go wrong with this how-to.

* Mummy Trick-or-Treat Bag! Aaron shares this creepily clever crafting project, which turns a plain canvas bag into a wonderfully spooky mummy that's guaranteed to tip candy-bowls in any neighborhood!

PLUS! The first installment of Andy’s Unicorner, a regular feature where Andy shares his picks and tips in comics, games, sci-fi, fantasy, and whatever else he finds in his cage.

You can watch the first episode at the CampBlood.org Blog by clicking here (full link: http://campblood.org/Newblog/?p=1125&preview=true)

We hope that you enjoy, share with your friends/colleagues/readers, and return for future episodes! We'll be back to put the horror in your home all year round.

Best wishes (and Happy Halloween!),

Buzz and the Camp Staff

We're Here, We're Queer, and We're Going to Eat You.

True Blood Pumkin carving designs with Andy and Brian from Camp Blood !

From our great friend Andy Swist from Camp Blood

Those of you who have suffered through both seasons of our spectacularly inane Blood Work! True Blood video recaps may remember that for Season 1 Andy whipped up a set of awesome True Blood Jack-o-lantern templates.

All you need is a punkin, a knife and one of these handy-dandy printouts and you can have yerself a fabulous Halloween decoration celebrating Lafayette, Bill, Sookie, Fangtasia, Merlotte’s, or the show’s Season 1 promo image. (I’m working on Andy to get an Eric template out of him before October 31st, but he’s a busy little beaver these days!)

You can check out the Bill Compton template after the jump and find the full set of templates over here. Enjoy!

Blood Work! “True Blood” video recap Ep. 12: Always the bridesmaids!

For our last episode of Blood Work! Too, we took a tip from MaryAnn (”the Bitch”) and said “yes” to the dress, the Meat Tree, the potted plant hats, and – most importantly – the crazy.

So how did last night’s marriage-happy episode strike us? Were the loose ends (and runny Eggs) suitably dealt with? And of course, what do we think might be next for our drama-plagued Francophiles (Bill and Sookie), service industry members (Lafayette, Terry, Tara, Sam, etc.) and Mountain Dew enthusiasts (Handsome Woman A and Handsome Woman B)?

Join us in the video after the jump for our take on all the nonsense!
