The world needs all the Sookies it can get.
This DOES not mean she's stopping everything - it's actually good news for us on Team Talk Blood Radio ! We teamed up for this season and we will stay a team for the next 9 episodes. We'll have lots more to say about this on the next show Sunday July 11th so join me and " the artist formerly known as @SookieBonTemps " next week !
Enjoy her wonderful post
The world needs all the Sookies it can get.
The world DOES need all the Sookies it can get. Why? She’s loyal. Sometimes to a fault. She takes the high road — no matter what comes at her, she does what’s right. The people she loves in her life come first and she’ll fight to the death for them, if that’s what’s required. She stands for courage and most of all, she stands for someone who always comes through in the end. You want a Sookie in your life.
But the time has come for me to stop being Sookie.
This is my last blogpost as @SookieBonTemps. Being @SookieBonTemps has definitely been a wild ride. From writing 140-character tweets on my life in fictional Bon Temps to dabbling roleplay to developing programs like True Blood on Twitter Thursday, Bites for Blood for the American Red Cross, it’s been a fantastic run and I couldn’t have done it without all of you.
I’d like to say thank you to the lovely characters who’ve been with me since the beginning, @LafayetteTB, @EricNorthman, @VampireBill, @MerlottesBar, @JessicaHamby, @HoytFortenberry, and all of the lovely characters and non-characters who joined the fray soon after. Some of you I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in real life, others of you I plan to meet real soon.
Thanks to @TrueBloodDallas, who found this little lost lamb way back in December 2008 when there was no Bon Temps Twitterverse. You are a wonderful partner in crime, and we do the best damn True Blood radio show out there. Not that I’m biased.
Thank you to @HBO for embracing the True Blood fandom.
And thank you, most of all to my friends and followers whose tweets truly made the experience of being @SookieBonTemps worthwhile, and more importantly, entertaining.
post a messages to her here

New York, N.Y., June 10, 2010 – HBO has launched a new True Blood Twitter Microsite that will provide an enhanced second-screen experience for fans of the show. The microsite uses Twitter to connect True Blood fans to live conversations, while watching new episodes of season 3 every Sunday. Bloodcopy.com will feature weekly “hosts” that will live Tweet during each episode on Sunday nights, initiating conversations, interacting with fans and facilitating giveaways. During this Sunday’s premiere, the HBO official True Blood Twitter profile (@TrueBloodHBO) will be the site’s first host. In celebration of the first episode, fans will have the chance to win Ultimate Truebie prize packs and unlock virtual badges. True Blood Fan Anniversaries!
Well, it sure is funny how we all started together last year and how we all found each other and what a great year we've had. THE FUN of doing this has been making so many friends and meeting and staying in touch online, by phone and in person.
A year later, I’m still here. And I’ve got a whole lot of people that I’d like to thank for making Twitter a boatload of fun:
- Thank you to everyone who followed me in the beginning when Bon Temps on Twitter only had one resident.
- Thanks to @TrueBloodDallas who knows how to spot a lost lamb when she sees one — it’s certainly been a wild ride from our first chat, to meeting in L.A. for Paley, going to Shreveport to meet Charlaine, to doing Talk Blood every Sunday night after Season 2 epis. Without you, I would not have met the awesome @robiart and the lovely Patrick.

Bites for Blood kicks off on Thursday, December 3 at 9:00pm

This from the lovely @SookieBonTemps
Would you give a drop of blood to the Red Cross in exchange for a bite from Eric or a kiss from Sookie?
The True Blood players on Twitter hope you will. They are hosting Bites for Blood, the first ever virtual blood drive held on Twitter. Their goal is simple -- fill a blood vial with half-a-million drops of blood to raise awareness for the American Red Cross.
Bites for Blood kicks off on Thursday, December 3 at 9:00pm CDT with one night of virtual kissing and biting booths manned by everyone's favorite True Blood characters on Twitter. Participants simply:
- Choose the human or vampire you'd like to have kiss or bite you.
- Click on their badge.
- By clicking, you will be directed back to Twitter where you'll tweet your support and receive a kiss or bite from the character you chose.
- The page will remain open until Sunday, December 5th at 9pm CDT so that you can continue donating drops to Bites for Blood.
For more information on Bites for Blood and how you can get involved, go to http://truebloodtwitter.com. Be sure to tweet the page and share it on Facebook to get the word out!

Addicted to Twitter
From Salon Magazine
How I learned that I was powerless over micro-blogging and my life had become unmanageable
By Laurel Snyder
Aug. 15, 2009 | Last Thursday morning, I sat down at my computer with my cup of sludgy coffee, just like any other day. I checked my e-mail and glanced at the New York Times Web site. But when I opened up Twitter, expecting the usual hodgepodge of scattered thoughts and hectic questions, I found there was nothing there. Nothing at all.
It was the day of the Great Twitter Outage. But I didn't know that yet. I only knew that something was terribly wrong.
Actually, it was funny, in a kind of pathetic, soul-crushing way: I stared at the blank screen, hitting refresh over and over. Waiting for everyone to come back. For my online life to resume. Finally, I accepted the truth. Twitter, my favorite unreliable news source and constant companion, was gone.

True Blood in Crisis: Bill's Bangs day 2 !
We just don't have the time to wax philosophically about Godric's ruminations on violence and coexistence after centuries of watching the evolution of both the human and vampire races. We don't have time to think about right wing extremism, religious zealots, suicide bomber
s, bigotry and discrimination.
We have to WORRY about HAIR!!!
True Blood fans have survived some BIG True Blood hair fights in the past. Last season, we had the very warranted complaints about poor Alex Skarsgard's wig, which he had to wear because his hair was still short from starring in Generation Kill when they started filming True Blood.
Then at the beginning of season 2 we saw his new haircut and the highlights ( see the scene below) When Eric asked Lafayette in that horrible horrific dungeon scene "Is there blood in my hair ?" and then goes on later to lament that " Pam will kill me "
We saw the new 'Eric look' in the 'Forever 21' scene in S2 Episode 2 ( also below) where he ask Bill " It's the new me - you like ?"
Now, you have to set aside the vampire cannon (rules) from the Sookie books because we know that vampires can't cut their hair or change their appearances because they go right back to how they looked at the original time of their death.
Bill explains this to Sookie in "Dead until Dark "
I touched his sideburns, since apparently touching was okay. "They're long," I observed.
"That was the fashion," he said. "It's lucky for me I didn't wear a beard as so many men did, or I'd have it for eternity."
"You never have to shave?"
"No, luckily I had just shaven."
I'm not sure they know they need to have hard and fast vampire rules in True Blood. Let's not even try to figure out how Eric can cut and change his hair but Jessica regenerates "her virginity"
So now we are faced with the very serious problem of Bill's Bangs. On Sunday night, our radio show guests reviewers, Brian and Andy (campblood.org) talked with @SookieBonTemps about Bill's hair especially his bangs. If you missed our Blogtalk radio show Sunday night listen here and to Brian and Andy's vlog here but NOW the fan forums are buzzing about 'Bill's Hair"
There is even a new entire thread on the HBO fan forum called Fix Bill's Hair
trubldaddict says "Amen! How can they not see how weird his hair looks? Stiff and flat bangs that seem to glow red in the dark are not a good look!"
My suggestion is that what we really need is a new Twitter character called @BillsBangs. Maybe the solution is to just laugh about it ..
In case you don't know in the world of Sookie/True Blood Twitter universe inanimate objects and even animals sometimes become True Blood Twitter characters and the result is usually hilarious.
For example: some of my favorites are @EricsBlackAmEx, @AIDS Burger, @Eric's Gracious Plenty, @Lafayette's Thong, @Pam's Pumps and when poor Bob Jessup isn't in his human form he twitters as @BobthecatJessup
Let's just all let our hair down and enjoy the last few Season 2 episodes -- @BillsBangs anyone ?
Some other favorites are :
AIDS Burger
Bill's Henley
Bill's Hot Tub
Bill's Piano
Bill's Toaster
Cardboard Eric
Eric's Credit Card
Eric's Gracious Plenty
Eric's Hands
Eric's Legs
Gran's Pie
Hoyt's Cell Phone
Jason's Brain
Lafayette's Cosmetics Case
Lafayette's Thong
Maxine's Casserole
Ms. Jeanette's Ghost
Pam's Boobs
Pam's Pumps

Twitter Outage Moves Into Day 2
Twitter, Facebook and LiveJournal spent yesterday battling a DDOS attack that started around 6 am California time. Twitter and LiveJournal went down hard, Facebook stayed mostly online but was clearly under strain. CNET reports that a single individual's accounts on the services may have been the primary target.
Now, nearly 24 hours later, Facebook and LiveJournal appear to be performing normally. But Twitter is down completely and has been for the last few hours.
As of 4 pm Twitter was saying things were looking better: "Site latency has continued to improve." But for most users, all third party services have been completely unusable for the last 20 hours or so (Tweetdeck, Seesmic, Power Twitter, etc..), bringing down the entire Twitter ecosystem. The Twitter.com site itself hasn't been reliable either.
The Twitter status blog has been silent since that 4:14 update.
Is Twitter Down?

Buffy / True Blood role Playing Games
A Buffy the Vampire Season 8, True Blood, & Angel Season 5 Role Playing GameHundreds, maybe thousands of girls made the choice. Through the power of the scythe, they were instilled with the strength and skill to hunt the vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. Only one problem: vampires have "come out of the coffin" and made their presence known to the world. Killing them is now punishable by law, whether you're human or vampire. So, what do these thousands of girls with vampire slaying skills do now?
Many of them, especially the charismatic, powerful leader, Buffy Summers, is seen as a terrorist to the government. Vampires have made their presence known, but who or what are slayers? VTV, a popular TV network, featuring Harmony's popular reality show "Harmony Bites" makes slayers out to be the bad guys (more accurately, girls). So, not only is the government after the Slayers, but vampires are, too, only in a more private capacity. But, there are some vampires, especially vampire sheriffs, like Eric Northman, who want to use people with certain slayer "skills" to take care of vampire-related problems. Therefore, slayers can still use their skills in a bounty hunting capacity, once again ingraining their terrorist label.
On the other side of the country, an evil law firm in Los Angeles, of which clueless Angel and his friends are working for and think they're in charge of, helped orchestrate the new vampire laws in order to keep half of its clientele safe. Angel, being a vampire himself, signed the forms to help pass it along, not understanding the repercussions for Slayers, thus building an even bigger gap between Angel, his friends, and the Scoobies.
Meanwhile, in Bon Temps, Louisiana, a young telepathic waitress named Sookie Stackhouse meets her first vampire, Bill, after saving him from Drainers (people who sell the highly addictive vampire blood on the black market). Both Bill and Sookie are intrigued by one another, but must deal with the small town persecution, especially from Sookie's coworkers, her boss, Sam, her brother, Jason, and her best friend, Tara.
However, a dark power is rising in the south. A new Hellmouth is born in the heart of Louisiana; New Orleans. Hearing this news, Buffy and her friends head there to keep an eye on things, and mostly, to stay out of the public eye. What better way to hide than in, what they think, is the middle of nowhere? Little do they know, Louisiana has become a hub for vampire activity. The scars still visible on her neck, Buffy is immediately labeled a "fangbanger," but at least no one knows that she's the Slayer. Or so she thinks.

True Blood Dallas named as one of the 5 True Blood Twitters to follow
Loving True Blood in Dallas blog named one of the best True Blood twitters to follow - what an honor !-thanks http://www.phillyburbs.com
Half the fun of watching TV shows is following along with other fans and friends on Twitter (yes, that thing is still around).
Here our Blood Type’s suggestions on who to follow to stay up on all the True Blood goodness.
@truebloodnet- A fan media site and your online source for the latest news, interviews, photos and info. on the HBO TV Series True Blood. Not affiliated with HBO
@trueblooddallas- Best True Blood and Sookie blog around. According to their bio. Well let’s just see about that.
@anna_paquin or @paquinanna- Are either really the True Blood star? Probably not. But it’s fun to pretend.
@phillyburbs- Well obviously, I mean where else would you go for True Blood news, gossip and everything else you could ever need in life?
You can also become a Twitter Vampire. Undeadly cool.

Below is the comment I posted !
Dallas Says:

Haha thanks so much Illuminati. Yes, I do sometimes call myself “the best” or sometimes I call it ” your favorite ” True Blood / Sookie blog and that’s meant tongue in cheek and kind of as an inside joke. There is sooo much competition in the True Blood / Sookie fandom on the internet you just have to stay true to yourself.
I am first and foremost am a bookie (Sookie Stackhouse book lover) but I LOVE True Blood. I want my blog to have the quirkiness and the flavor of the south ( I only live 2 hours from Bon Temps ) and I do silly things that my readers like, recipes, fan art, True Blood /Sookie music video of the Day ( yes, a different one !) everyday ( I’ve posted 200 of them as of today!)
We do tons of really fun creative contests, have frequent fan trips and meetups and the fans of my blog regularly help me co-host my weekly radio shows.
I LOVE TB / Sookie fans more than anything ….
Yep, take a look at the blog, listen to some of my radio show podcasts and let me know what you think.
I hope it will become one of your “favorites” too!
Thanks, Dallas
