If Claudine had to go ...I can almost handle it if she goes to Sherlock BBC

Its OK , Claude is going to replace Claudine as Sookie's Faerie godmother and remember they are triplets so we also see Claudette.

I really don't watch too much Teevee- amazing huh ?But there are a few recent series I WOULD highly recommend and they are in this order

1. Sherlock BBC ( see on Masterpiece Mystery PBS)
2. Being Human UK see on BBC America
3. Being Human US on SyFy US

Sherlock is my favorite thing I've seen on TV this year and Being Human S3 has BLOWN me away this summer. I'm excite to see Lara Pulver and I'm thinking of starting Robin Hood-so I'll be happy to get to see more of her.

We've got some hot off the press casting news for series two of Sherlock for you, right here...
It’s been all quiet on the Sherlock series two news front for a while, as the shoot for the three new 90 minute adventures continues. But, having just got back from the Cardiff set of the production, we can confirm a brand new piece of casting news.

Lara Pulver, who has previously been seen in the likes of True Blood (where she played Claudine Crane) and Robin Hood (Isabella), has been cast in the role of Irene Adler.

Irene Adler is, of course, a romantic interest of sorts for Sherlock, although we’ve got few clues thus far as to how Steven Moffat will be approaching the character. It’s Moffat who has written the first episode of Sherlock series 2, A Scandal In Belgravia, which is set to feature the character of Adler, we understand.

Pulver, incidentally, is also appearing in the tenth series of Spooks.

There'll be more news on Sherlock as we get it. Having seen around 15-20 minutes of footage from the new series, though, we can say thus far that there’s much to look forward to...

No bad blood between author and screenwriters

Unlike some fans, writer Charlaine Harris doesn't mind HBO series' changes to her True Blood books

It was the kind of sudden, unexpected twist that drives details-oriented readers of popular novels over the edge.
In the July 10 episode of True Blood, Academy Awardwinning screenwriter Alan Ball's trippy TV adaptation of the Sookie Stackhouse series of novels by Charlaine Harris, fans of the books were shocked when Claudine, Sookie's fairy godmother, had her blood sucked dry by the dashing vampire and unrepentant ladies' man Eric Northman, played in the series by Alexander Skarsgard.

Why kill off Sookie's faery Godmother NOW?

I think because Claudette and Claude will be introduced and I think Claude will become Sookie's new fairy Godmother ( ala Lloyd who is Barry's )

If you are not a 'bookie' (a reader of the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse novels upon which HBO's True Blood is based) then it may have only been a surprise not a shock when Claudine (played by Lara Pulver) was murdered by Amnesia!Eric right before Sookie's and our eyes.
Claudine had returned to 'our side' to implore, then demand that Sookie return to 'Faery' with her. When Sookie declined her faery godmother's invitation, then stated firmly that she wished Claudine to take a flying leap...she couldn't have known that Eric was listening and would, with his hypervamp-speed snatch Claudine up and proceed to feed on her--fatally. (Scroll down for more HBO copyright screenshots that I clipped---plus the official promo photo stills from this episode.)
In the book series, which I'll gingerly tred around as best I can (some people may interpret this as SPOILERS so be forewarned), Claudine is one of a trio of faery triplets---2 girls and a guy. We've met Claude in the True Blood  Faery as a rebel fae who helped save Sookie from Queen Mab. In the books there existed a 2nd female triplet who is dead when Sookie's world and the Fae's 'collide.'

True Blood Fairies: Let's talk about the Vampires that sparkle , Claudine, Tinkerbell , "stealing your light" and the fairy pond in the cemetery scene !

Buzz --Buzz --Buzz about that scene ---
I won't say much because I want to hear your opinions..
The one thing I will say is that SOOKIE IS NOT PSYCHIC and does NOT have the power of precognition!
The scene where she a Claudine read each others minds is fine but the " I knew you'd say that " is off the rails as to what Sookie's powers are ( at least as we know them in the book ) So according to Ball, Sookie is not longer just a telepath, she is now also a psychic.

Also if AHott is right about the Bill in sunlight scene we now have the "sparkle" of the the Twilight vampires and "secret daylight rings" of Vampire Diaries coming into the True Blood world and a new power for the vampires.

Great email from AHott in California
I have a theory...just wanted to share with you. I do read the books but I am reading them "one step ahead of the series," I'm just now reading Book Four. This may have already been shared and if so, please excuse me. I may just be stating the obvious to both viewers and Bookies.
I think Alan Ball is suggesting that Sookie's blood (her "light" if you will) when ingested by vampires in large amounts, allows them to walk in the daylight. That is why Bill didn't die when kicked into the sunlight as he had just practically drained her. This is also why Claudine fears that Sookie would give Bill her "light." It would make the vampires so much more powerful if they knew of it. It's also why she doesn't have a bloodtype. The other clue I picked up is when Sookie picked up that crystal glass at her bedside and Claudine told her it was "empty" and she needed to refill it. Bill had just drained her of her blood and her "light" and she needed to refill it at the pond.

What do you guys think ???????

Ausiello introduces us to the new Claudine, Laura Pulver

True Blood is dispatching a guardian angel to look after Sookie.

British actress Lara Pulver — best known from the BBC drama Robin Hood — has landed the recurring role of Sookie’s fairy godmother, Claudine.

I’ve never read Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire books, but I’m told that the character of Claudine plays a critical part in at least two of them.

Casting Call for Claudine in True Blood Season 3 Episode 3.07

A new casting call is out for S03 E07 – “Hit the Floor”.

[CLAUDINE] 30s-40s. A beautiful, kind and loving figure who knows a lot about Sookie, she appears to Sookie in a golden vision. However, their utopia is abruptly dismantled when Claudine issues Sookie a mysterious warning. Possible recurring.

FYI : We should not see Claudine for the first time according to the books until the next book - we first meet Claudine in Bk 4 Dead to the World when she comes into Merlotte's with Tara. She is working part time with Tara at "Togs" Sometimes folks think we first see her waking Sookie up in the car but this is the first exchange:

"I'm Claudine," she said, with a beautiful smile. Her teeth were Hollywood white. Her skin had an odd
quality; it looked glossy and thin, reminding me of the skin of a plum; like if you bit her, sweet juice would gush out. "I'm here because of all the activity."
"Oh?" I said, taken aback.
"Sure. You have vampires, and Weres, and lots of other stuff all tangled up here in Bon Temps—to say nothing of several important and powerful crossroads. I was drawn to all the possibilities."
"Uh-huh," I said uncertainly. "So, do you plan on just observing all this, or what?"
"Oh, no. Just observing is not my way." She laughed. "You're quite the wild card, aren't you?"

We have seen the next book seeping into the season before in True Blood so this isn't too unusual.

This image is from the unaired True Blood Episode 1 - it used to be online but it's gone now.

The unaired Original True Blood pilot with the other Tara

Watch the full length video of the unaired True Blood pilot.

This episode includes the other actress as Tara (Brook Kerr) instead of Rutina Wesley.

There is also the "blue eyes ladies in the woods" (who we think might be Claudine, her fae cousin ) during the Sookie/ Mack Rattray fight.

This episode also has missing scenes and has very different music.
