'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' Motion Comic On The Way?

Joss Whedon fans distraught over the recent cancellation of "Dollhouse" might find a silver lining in at least one piece of news today. It appears that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" could find new life above and beyond Dark Horse Comics' well-received "Buffy" comic book series, as a casting notice recently popped up online for a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" motion comic.

Over at SciFi Wire, they've posted the full breakdown of voiceover casting calls for the "Buffy" motion comic, which offers a nice indication of which characters fans can expect to see in the series. Among the notables are slayers Faith, Robin Wood and Kennedy, as well as "big bad" villain Twilight. Curiously, there's also a call for a voice actor who sounds like current James Bond actor Daniel Craig.

Vampires seek tolerance, understanding from others

From the Atlanta Journal- Constitution

Being a vampire is boring compared to the young, beautiful and powerful bloodsuckers appearing weekly on TV and movie screens.

Merticus, an organizer of the 4-year-old Atlanta Vampire Alliance, said vampires are mostly like anyone else.

"We could be the model-train group down the street from you," he said.

Except the model-train group depends on electricity as a power source. Atlanta vampires believe they drain energy from people and some, yes, drink a bit of human blood to get the boost they need.

'Vampire Diaries' Marathon in December

OK if you haven't watched this series get this on your calendar and give it a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised

Have you missed out on the wild and crazy ride that is The Vampire Diaries? Do you want to relive all the excitement of the show again from the beginning? You're in luck, because the CW, in a sign of immense faith in the freshman series, is dedicating an entire week of programming to nothing but The Vampire Diaries.

Starting Monday, December 14, the CW will have an entire week of The Vampire Diaries. That's all 10 episodes, filling two hours every night, Monday through Friday.

This is just another sign of tremendous confidence in the network's top-rated hit series that's been increasing in viewers over the past few weeks. The five-night, 10-hour event will hopefully lead some new fans to discover the superb new series. It's essentially the next best thing to the network sending out a free DVD of the first 10 episodes to everyone in America.

By that time, almost every other show will be in reruns, so be sure to remind yourself to check out the CW during the week of December 14 for this epic Vampire Diariesevent.

The Collected Wit and Wisdom of True Blood's Jason Stackhouse

The lovely Patty from IWANTTOWRITEFORTRUEBLOODBLOG sends us ..

It seems that on every True Blood fan site, blog and wiki, it is always Eric, Eric Eric, Bill, Bill Bill.

Don't you just get a bit tired of it all?

Irrespective of the predictable cries of the "noooo ... we love Eric, Eric Eric, Bill, Bill Bill!", I think it is time to redress the balance or as Jason would say: "What we need is a divergence."

In this post I celebrate that fine, dumb as a box full o' hair, sex-god, Jason Stackhouse. And it is his mind (or lack thereof) that I love, as much as his physique.

So to that end here is the collected wit and wisdom of Jason as revealed in True Blood Seasons 1 and 2.

In TB Season 1 we got to see the more (ahem) physical side of Jason, so the audience didn't really have a chance to appreciate his native wit and unique take on life.
