True Blood finale spoiler : Eric and Bill on Fire

Author Ellen Schreiber finds fangs and fortune

At 44, Ellen Schreiber still thinks a lot like a teenager - a hip, fun and funky mindset that propelled her onto the New York Times bestseller list as an author of teen novels.
A native of Roselawn who now makes her home in Warren County, Schreiber wrote the Vampire Kisses series of books, which has sold 1.4 million copies - a staggering figure she says she doesn't think about much.
Nestled in a quiet subdivision where hawks circle overhead, Schreiber is working on several projects in various stages of completion.
She weaves her tales on an Apple computer, which takes center stage on a kidney-shaped Ikea desk in her bright, eclectic office - white jolted with pink and aqua, and infused with black, reflecting her more "Goth" side.

'True Blood' EP Defends Bill: 'He was Sookie's First Love'

"It's a very recent first love that was very, very deep," Alexander Woo tells THR.In many ways, the last episode of HBO’s True Blood made some pivotal plot turns. At the top of that list of developments includes the return of Eric’s (Alexander Skarsgard) memory and what that means for the love triangle involving Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer).
VIDEO: 'True Blood' Previews: The Body Count Rises in the Season 4 Finale

“It felt like a good time because Sookie and Eric have gotten as close as… well, probably as they can get in this short period of time,” executive producer and writer, Alexander Woo, tells The Hollywood Reporter about the choice to restore Eric’s memory.
“This was the time for this roadblock where he gets his identity back,” Woo continues. “And the fun of it for the viewer, I hope, is to see how that affects the relationship they had established while he didn’t have his memory.”
When we spoke to Woo, he gave us an idea of the challenges that lie ahead for Eric and Sookie’s relationship, as well as how it will affect not only Bill, but also Eric’s relationship to Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten).

True Blood Recipe of the week: 'Wicked Peach Cake' from the New Sookie Stackhouse Comapnion Book

You know Ol' Dallas can be a bit cynical,  but I have just loved the new Sookie Stackhouse Companion book that was released this week. Make sure you buy this one - you will love it too.
This recipe this week is from the book and is in  the wonderful recipe section found in the book. The map of Bon Temps is worth the purchase alone ... but the special Sookie novella,  Small Town Wedding has Sookie going on a trip with Sam and the Quinn relationship is resolved ....

THE OFFICIAL BLURB:Charlaine Harris has topped the bestseller charts and has become a nationwide phenomenon, thanks to the unconventional-and otherworldly- life of Sookie Stackhouse. Now, in her own words, Sookie gives readers a look at her family, friends, enemies, adventures, and-of course-the lovers who set her world on fire...

Readers will:
            • Tour Bon Temps, the small Louisiana town that Sookie calls home, and visit the houses of her Gran and her sometime vampire lover, Bill
            • Prowl around the werewolf and were-panther communities
            • Browse through her best friend Tara's dress shop
            • Belly up to the bar in Merlotte's, where Sookie works
            • Get must-have Bon Temps recipes-including Caroline Bellfleur's famous chocolate cake
            • Test themselves with trivia questions from the series

I also have a donated copy as one of the MANY, MANY prizes in the fundraiser raffle !

In honor of the Season 4 Witch War I've chosen Wicked Peach Cake from What's cookin in Bon Temps chapter. Peaches are plentiful and cheap and maybe you need something to bring to that Labor Day picnic or  True Blood finale party!

Wicked Peach Cake
1 box yellow cake mix
1 pkg. peach Jell-O
1/2 c. Peach schnapps
3-4 good sized peaches chopped to make 1 1/2 cups
1/2 box powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degress. Grease and flour Bundt cake pan.
Prepare cake mix according to box direction. Add Jell-O and 1/4 cup Schnapps. Fold in peaches. Pour mixture into pan and bake for 35-40 minmutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Let cake cool and turn onto cake plate . Mix together 1/4 cups schnapps and powdered sugar to amke glaze. Poke several holes in top of cake with ice pick ( I use a wooden spoon ) before drizzling the glaze over cake. Add more schnapps if glaze is too thick ( haha) !!

True Blood’s Chris Bauer on His Limited Screen Time, Andy Bellefleur’s Ancestry, and V’s Real-Life Drug Equivalent

Will Bon Temps’ local sheriff and resident V-addict Andy Bellefleur finally get clean? Last week’s intervention episode had us feeling hopeful — and gave us insight into why Andy is the way he is (he grew up with a lot of money and no love). But when we spoke with actor Chris Bauer, we felt unsettled enough to ask him what fate awaits his troubled character: Will he finally sober up and be the hero? Of course Bauer couldn’t give us the firm "yes" we wanted to hear, but he kindly indulged our theories, and shared his thoughts on True Blood’s Emmy shutout, his limited screen time, and V’s real-life drug equivalent.
What did you think of your big intervention episode?
You know, it feels so good just to get a few extra minutes of screen time.
Is that frustrating, to share screen time with so many actors?
It could be a lot worse. But in such a good scenario, yeah, that’s what’s hard about it. I still have the challenge of trying to do the best work I can, whether I have to do that with one syllable or five scenes. At least that’s how I console myself.

Kevin Alejandro Exclusive Interview TRUE BLOOD

On the HBO vampire series True Blood, actor Kevin Alejandro plays Jesus, the handsome nurse who caught the eye of Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) when he was taking care of his mother. As Season 4 has brought the witches to the forefront of the story, and Jesus and Lafayette have been learning just how powerful they are, they’ve gotten closer and their relationship has gotten stronger, their love for each other only growing while they try to save the humans in their tiny town of Bon Temps from an inevitable vampire showdown.

During this exclusive phone interview with Collider, Kevin Alejandro talked about how cool it is to be a part of a show he was already a fan of, that he feels this season has found a good balance between all of the stories and characters, how much he enjoys playing scenes with Nelsan Ellis, how flattered he is by the fan reaction to the show, and that everyone is sure to be amazed by the craziness of the season finale. Check out what he had to say after the jump:

Question: How did you originally come to the show? Did you just audition for it?

KEVIN ALEJANDRO: Yeah, actually. But, it was something that my wife and I had been watching from the beginning, so it was cool to get to go in there and be part of a show that I was already a fan of. When it happened with True Blood, I was like, “Yeah, this is so cool.”
