Ausiello: There was no room at the inn. Per Ball, the episode she was supposed to appear in had reached capacity story-wise. “It was the show that could not be contained,” he explains. “Unfortunately, Lois was a causality of that. But there’s always next season. I’m pretty sure she would love to come back and do something on the show.”

Wow! Maybe we could have skipped one of those orgies and seen Gran in a flashback. I thought there was plenty of room for that. If she liked Bill, I bet she would have LOVED Eric!
I agree Sharon a few seconds less of any orgy would have been fine to give up.
I think seeing Eric with Gran would have been interesting. He is not much for interaction with humans- he barely abides them but because she is so important to Sookie and because of her age ( one think vamps appreciate is age and experience ) I think we would have see a ultra polite respectful Eric..
One of the reasons in the books that Gran like Bill so much is that they can talk about the history of the area -she is avid genealogist and local historian and well- of course, he was actually there ... ;-)
