'Sesame Street Live': This Count has the look, but not the scare In a vampire-crazy world, this ageless Muppet stands apart


More than ever, it seems like vampires are lurking around every corner.

There's "Twilight," "True Blood," "The Vampire Diaries" and dozens of knock-off novels - not to mention classics such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," the early books of Anne Rice and, of course, Count Dracula himself.

Perhaps the world's friendliest vampire, though, is Count von Count, the arithmemaniacal "Sesame Street" character who has taught millions of children about numbers for nearly 40 years. He's never seen drinking blood or sleeping in a coffin, and he appears to have no problems with direct sunlight - but there's no denying those fangs, the cape and the Bela Lugosi stare.
