FLORENCE, Ore. – The late, great Boris Karloff – who first scared people when he played Frankenstein in the 1930’s – lived in an apartment here in the central Oregon coast town of Florence that he called his “summer place;” now, this neighborhood where Karloff took a break from Hollywood, features a popular comic book shop that not only sells vampire and zombie stories but also attracts "these dead beings" as well, say locals.
