True Blood's James Frain wants to swap vampire tips with Robert Pattinson

BRITISH actor James Frain, who has arrived in True Blood's Bon Temps as bloodsucking baddie Franklin Mott, says he wants to swap vampire tips with Twilight's Robert Pattinson.
Frain appears alongside Pattinson in the upcoming film adaptation of circus tale Water For Elephants.
But he regrets that they didn't get chance to talk about their more toothy roles.
Frain says: "I did have scenes with Robert in Water for Elephants but I'm sorry to say we didn't swap vampire stories. I wish we had, people can't believe there's going to be a scene in the movie with a Twilight vampire talking to a True Blood vampire and that we didn't spend our time chatting about that.

The True Blood workout: P90x

Ever wonder what it’s like to be surrounded by hot-looking guys wearing next-to-nothing or nothing at all? Alright, calm down ladies. I’m talking about Kevin Alejandro’s revelation to AccessHollywood that appearing on HBO’s True Blood comes with its own form of peer pressure.
Alejandro, who joined True Blood in Season Three as Jesus Velasquez, revealed, “I’m sharing the screen with somebody like Ryan Kwanten. We all look within ourselves for inspiration [to lose weight, get fit] but he’s obviously the poster boy of a physique.”
Fortunately for Alejandro, he’s not the only one who wants to look good so he was able to join a few other cast-members in a P90X workout regime. P90X stands for Power 90 Extreme and consists of a segmented training program that’s supposed to improve physical fitness in 90 days.

Make Yourself Heard – Paleyfest 2011

Great post from Sookieverse

One day…in my fantasy world…I will find myself trapped in an elevator for a half hour with Alan Ball, and he will be at my mercy. In my twisted little daydream, I will pick his brain with every single question that’s bugged me, intrigued me, had me lying awake at 1am or reduced me to a screeching, profanity-spewing mess over the last three years.

And he cannot escape.

All of us have at least one burning question that we’d love to ask Alan Ball, the writing team or the True Blood cast. Here’s your opportunity to get it all off your chest.

Paleyfest 2011 is next month, and the True Blood Panel will be held on Saturday, March 5. The panel is yet to be officially confirmed, but questions for Ball, the writers and the cast are now being taken on the Paley Centre site.

Ball and the cast usually drop some sweet spoilers at this event – it was at Paley in 2009 that Alan Ball first confirmed that Eric would have amnesia in season 4, that we would definitely be seeing Alcide in season 3…and uttered the infamous statement about Bill and Sookie having “a connection that would never die.”

Charlaine Harris Book and blog : talks about keeping books and new reads

Charlaine blogs ....

I don’t know know where you stand on keeping books. I find my attitude has changed in the past thirty years. I used to keep every book I bought or was given. For one thing, I very seldom got to buy a brand-new book. My budget didn’t permit such extravagance. I went to the library, mostly. I belonged to book clubs, so I bought smaller and cheaper versions of the books I wanted. I also visited used book stores and went to friend-of-the-library sales. Every now and then I’d get a gift card for a book store for Christmas. This was a fabulous occasion for me, and choosing a book was a momentous decision.

She reads:

  • The Thin Man, Dashiell Hammett
  • Shadowfever, Karen Marie Moning
  • His Majesty’s Dragon, Naomi Novik

She also mentions this list :
I found Mystery Writers of America’s list of the Hundred Best Mysteries, and out of curiosity I checked the ones I’d read; turned out I’d read a very creditable 75 or 80 of them. I’m tracking down the ones I haven’t, and one of them was The Thin Man. I’d read Hammett’s other work, and how I skipped this landmark I have no idea.

‘Being’ himself Vampire role on Syfy’s ‘Human’ pumps life into young actor’s career

    He is growing on me

Sam Witwer almost made the biggest mistake of his career.
He first passed on the chance to audition for Syfy’s “Being Human” (tonight at 9). “You talk about the show, and you go, ‘A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost,’ and then you almost reflexively follow it up with, ‘walk into the bar,’ ” Witwer told the Herald in a recent telephone interview.
A friend convinced him to actually read the script.

Being Human not just another vampire show

When: Mondays at 10 p.m. Where: Space

A werewolf and a vampire move into an apartment with a ghost sounds like the setup for a cheesy joke or a wacky sitcom.

But the new drama Being Human (based on a British series of the same name) takes a different tack, treating its premise seriously and grounding its supernatural characters in as much reality as possible.

There's Josh (Sam Huntington), bitten by a werewolf a few years back and now cut off from most of his family and old friends; Aidan (Sam Witwer), a 200-year-old vampire struggling with his addiction to human blood; and Sally (Meaghan Rath), who died in her home and can no longer touch anything or leave the apartment. Together, the three reluctant roommates struggle to fit in a world that doesn't want them

'The Vampire Diaries': Steven R. McQueen talks Jeremy, Bonnie, and more

I am just crazy about this new young actor ( and grandson of who you think )

You'd think the kids on "The Vampire Diaries" have enough to worry about with all the vampires and witches and werewolves running around -- but to top it all off, they're completely drowning in relationship issues. With three separate love triangles happening, Mystic Falls is bound to go Jerry Springer any moment.

Zap2it caught up with star Steven R. McQueen on set in Atlanta to talk about all the drama brewing between Jeremy, Jeremy's sister's best friend Bonnie, and the new witch (ahem, warlock) in town, Luka.

Nelsan Ellis talks about Lafayette Reynolds

Episode 4.06 will be called "I Wish I Was the Moon".

    From spoiler TV

    from EW

What can I be looking forward to between Eric & Sookie in season 4 of True Blood? — @Leandi_Cameron
Whatever is in store for the painfully attractive pair, count on a hunky (probably shirtless) werewolf being in the way. Joe Manganiello told us at the Producers Build Awards: “Wherever Sookie goes, Alcide is not going to be that far behind. He is very protective of her in the way that dogs are protective of their owners. Even tiny dogs will bark and stand up to whoever or whatever is threatening their master despite how tiny they are compared to the tormentor. That’s the same theory at the heart of Alcide. Fortunately he is a bit bigger than a purse dog and his bark and bite are pretty ferocious.
