"On The Infamous Shower Scene ( or Snow Sex!) Alexander Skarsgard says " he loved it!

“I loved it. It was so beautiful, they tried to recreate a winter landscape up in northern Sweden, and they did an amazing job. It was really special. It was a lot of fun shooting – and quite complicated with wind machines going and fake snow everywhere. It was very technical and kinda tough, but it really was very special. They spent weeks building it, and we spent a day or two shooting it. I’m excited to see it because being there on the day it looked so good. I hope fans like it.

Lauren Bowles talks 'True Blood' character: 'We both have a lot of faith and spirituality'

Lauren Bowles says she and her character on the risqué HBO vampire series "True Blood" have some things in common.
Bowles, 41, plays Holly Cleary, a witch, or as she prefers to call it, a "Wiccan." The character is also a waitress and single mother who catches the eye of the local sheriff. Cleary was introduced on the show last year and on the current fourth season, befriends the seemingly evil leader Marnie, who wages war against the vampires.

Slayer Sighting! - True Blood Creator, Alan Ball reads book on Vampire Killing

Slayer sighting 5 You know if Ball is reading it ...you need to.

We don't know what drew Alan Ball, creator of hit HBO drama,True Blood, to Bruce A. McClelland's Slayers and Their Vampires: A Cultural History of Killing the Dead, but we do know that he is holding the first book to explore the origins of the vampire slayer.
McClelland presents a nonromanticized history of the earliest vampire rituals that shows how much creative license figured into the refashioning of the vampire for the entertainment of the West. In Western popular culture, very little is said about the nemesis to the Vampire - the Slayer.  They are seen as super-human or heroic when mentioned while their darker nature -- as those who persecute a corpse -- is obscured.

Monroe Vamp house in Louisiana on the market ?

Wow looks like somehwere Liam, Malcolm and Diane might have lived.

This listing, first spotted on blog Hooked on Houses, seems less a modest four-bedroom in West Monroe, La., than source of inspiration for Twilight, True Blood, and The Vampire Diaries all at once. With sumptuous velvets cladding what has to be—please, dear lord, let it be—custom furniture, it's just the sort of place for someone with an extra $629K lying around to indulge all their vampire/vampiress fantasies. Let's just hope there's no garlic dangling anywhere in that extremely lavish chef's kitchen.

Teen Hunts Vampires in 'Voice of the Undead'

Looking for a great YA book for a teen Vamp lover -where vamps don't sparkle ?

"Alex Van Helsing: Voice of the Undead" (HarperTeen), by Jason Henderson: Alex Van Helsing finally belongs somewhere. It just happens to be an underground organization that secretly hunts and kills vampires.
"Voice of the Undead" is Jason Henderson's second novel in the Alex Van Helsing series. The first, "Vampire Rising," published last year, was an interesting twist on an old tale, but a slow read. "Voice of the Undead" is a more action-packed story, and the characters are more fully developed.

True Blood picks up the pace but Jessica got no game by Alex Cranz Fempop.com

The lovely Alex will be joining us again this week on Talk Blood radio !

This is the True Blood I used to love to watch. Big and crazy things happen in every scene and things almost never get tired and slow (more on this shortly) and everyone’s life seems to intertwine. It’s when True Blood is going a mile a minute that it works best. Like Vampire Diaries only rated R and less vanilla in the skin tone department.

The show is running what feels like a hundred story lines concurrently and somehow, in last night’s episode, they managed to all move forward. No one was treading water, no one was swimming backwards, and by the end of the episode it felt like they all had hopped onto a motorboat and were heading downstream and…this metaphor has gone on for far too long.
No F that. I love that metaphor. I will cling to it with my dying breath, but mainly because I want to say that Jessica was totally the captain of that motorboat down Plot River. Last week she was a little concerned about her relationship with Hoyt and this week she was doing this

“True Blood” Sucker Punch: Season 4, Ep. 8

You may remember that last week, Marnie allowed her body to become a vessel for Antonia, so Martonia was born. This week, Lafayette’s body is invaded by the spirit of Mavis, the ghost-woman who’s been haunting Baby Mikey. Therefore, it’s time to welcome… LaMavis. Politely avert your eyes as she breaks into your house and steals your baby.

For me, LaMavis is the most interesting element of “Spellbound,” the first weak episode of this otherwise strong season. As a reader mentioned in an email, Nelsan Ellis deserves a prize for physically suggesting Mavis by straightening his shirt just so and adjusting his walk to an elegant glide. He plays Lafayette as a powerful character who is equal parts masculine and feminine, so when he heightens the femininity in LaMavis, we feel it right away. Once again, Emmy voters, I ask you where the love is.
Regarding the story, LaMavis is an important counterweight to Martonia: Marnie willingly gave her body to Antonia, but Lafayette’s body is taken, just like Jason’s body was “taken” in Hotshot and just like Tommy has “taken” (or shifted into) the bodies of Sam and Maxine. Will Lafayette resist? Is there a struggle for spiritual control raging inside his body? Remember that scene in Ghost where Oda Mae forces the ghost out of her body? Will Lafayette kick Mavis out that way? That would be awesome.

Babyvamp Jessica blog: Nowhere to Go

On my fifteenth birthday, after having dinner at the church with my family, I snuck out with a few friends. We said we were going to get some root beer floats at Linnea and Tony’s Diner, but instead we went to the park one town over, where the public school kids would gather with brown bagged forties and stolen vodka. I had never been before, but my friend Erica used to go all the time and she was introducing me to everyone. I forgot most of ‘em, but there was this girl there, Nikki... she smelled kinda bad, and her hair was all tangled. I think she did it on purpose, she called them dreadlocks or something, but it didn’t look so good. I asked where she was from and she said she was born in De Soto parish, but she lived on the streets now. When I asked her why, she said got nowhere else to go. Then she shrugged her shoulders, lit up a hand-rolled cigarette and smiled at me like I was the biggest idiot she’d ever seen. I never felt so sheltered, you know? I knew I was going home to my cozy little house, where my mama would be folding my underwear and baking fresh cookies or some shit. And although my daddy could be mean as a hell, I still had a roof over my head. Even after I was turned, I had the old Compton place. And then Hoyt and I had a home, all to ourselves.
But now? I really got nowhere to go. I wonder if Nikki’s still living on the streets or if she found herself a home. Or maybe home is just a feeling, and it doesn’t matter where your feet are. Maybe wherever you are, that’s home.

True Blood Episode 4.08 Recap ‘Spellbound’

True Blood finale: What major characters die and what dead characters rise from the dead ?

OK, I think with Ep 9 on the horizon - I've been thinking a lot about the season end, denouement and cliff hanger for S5 bk 5 ...

1.At Comic- Con Ball said "We lose a handful of major characters this season." Alan Ball

2. From the Ep 12 " And When I Die" description from HBO "spirits of the dead surface in Bon Temps, giving Sookie some valuable allies to combat Marnie’s newest incarnation."

So we will have some characters dying: Debbie, Tommy, Marnie, Jesus and Ginger ( remember she dies in the book) ? Who do you think and why ?

So what characters will rise from the dead to ally with Sookie ? Gran, Claudine ?? Who else ?

Also "denizens of Bon Temps brace for a new crisis with a familiar face" V addicted weres lead by the resurrected Russell Edgington ?
What do you think the finale cliff hanger will be ??
Post to comments -

First person to post the correct answer will win a prize.

What's on teevee in Bon Temps ? Part Deux

OK-- he we go again , another episode where everyone in Bon Temps had something blaring on the teevvee.

Hoyt was watching the show Oddities which airs on the Discovery channel their fans on the Facebook page for the real shop were touting the fact that the Viking skull and Mummified cat were both featured on True Blood.
( On Talk Blood Radio with me Sunday night Brian Juergens pegged it !)

Show web page http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/oddities/   ( mummified cat video is there )
Facebook page HERE

Then Jason is watching Teevee but what show ?? Brian thought it was Ghost Adventures from Travel Channel and I thought it was Bear Grylls. Does anyone know for sure ??Is it Zak Bagans? Help ??

There's not a peep about it on GA FB about it ??

True Blood trips balls on a V-juice hump-hump-fest by Meredith Woerner

Don't miss our hilarous conversation from last night on Talk Blood Radio .

Last night on True Blood, Eric and Sookie took us deep into the snow shower of their imagination! You'd think that humping on a bunch of animal hides in the snow with a Viking Vampire would be more exciting.
But let me explain it to you, Pro/Con style.
This week we picked up right where we left off, THE SUN SUICIDES. Was anyone worried about Jessica killing herself and Jason getting shot? Neither was I. But I will say that the other totally fake death was terrifying. But more on that later, let's get back to THE SUN THE SUN!
