I have had so many questions about the two clips we see of Eric in the basement in 2 of the last 3 True Blood HBO promos.
I have combined the two parts and saved them as stills and put them in this slide show ...

yes I have to agree I have questions as well...lol 1. What is that on his head? looks almost like a foil wrap...lol also I thought his hair was shorter in this series and looks a bit on the longer side and really messy. Also could this be a flash back or him at the fellowship in Dallas when they get Sookie out??? I am so counting the days!!!
LOL I totally thought "Well, I guess somebody interrupted Eric getting his highlights done". I'm am curious as all get out what is going on with his hair.
I totally think this is the Dallas Fellowship of the Sun stuff from LDID. It makes me happy face to know that they aren't completely abandoning the books.
I think this is s being held by the fellowship. Maybe the thing on his head is a cloth with Holy Water??? The longer hair could be his real hair (remember...he's in disguise?)
I think Alex/Eric will be sporting the shorter hair in the flashback sequences.
I think the fight will explain what happens to his hair (why it's short). It's short in the scenes where he's biting the girl and telling Sookie that he doesn't take well to threats. Which is so swexy by the way.
But I'm thoroughly confused about what's going on!

He's got to be dealing with the FoTS people. It does look like he's getting his highlights done with the foil in his hair (or at least it looks like foil). Must be about a disguise or as a result of an attack - as others have said.

but guys, Eric was never in the basement saving Sookie. She got out with Godfrey´s help, never Eric´s! He only gets there after she´s gone with the were girl. Then, when she finally gets to the hotel he´s waiting in the front. I agree that must on the FOTS "church", but I don´t know about the hair! looks like someone was trying to cut off the front of his head.
It totally look like his getting highlights done!
and I prefer him with longer hair. It´s just more Eric.
True, Godfrey saved Sookie in LDID. But this does make me wonder if Eric will be rescuing her in the show... that would make up for the whole Bill-staking-Longshadow switchup in season 1, as far as I'm concerned. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
This is so hilarious. I just saw the preview so I googled the terms true blood eric and aluminum foil. I got to this page. Eric is so Gorgeous, so I was shocked to see the foil. Season 2 promises to be crazy and I am going nuts waiting for it to start!
I think he had to cut his hair because he was getting a highlight job and took more time in the basement than he thought and then , well.....anyway. I am thinking that might be the basement at Fangtasia. You know that Eric is the sherrif of area 5 and that he conducts his "business" from the bar. I think they grabbed Lafayette for selling V, and that is why he is there. I was pretty disturbed seeing Eric kill that guy, but then I remembered that it was his relationship with Sookie that made him more like his human self. I don't know if I can wait til next week!
