Eric and Lafayette together in Season 2

True Blood is finally back for season two, Lafayette is alive (hallelujah!), and if you already pressed play to see the video above, right about now you are hearing Alexander Skarsgard say something about Eric's sexual tension with Nelsan Ellis' Lafayette! Lordy, Lordy!

And now that you know the news that Lafayette is alive on True Blood (albeit chained up in Eric's basement), we have some even more delightful tidings for you...

We can't say too much, but as it turns out, Eric and Lafayette's chemistry together is electric. Eric has the upper hand for the time being (he's still pissed about that vampire who went missing last season), but before too long the two settle into an amiable rivalry that opens the door for much wit and some crackling conversations. You won't want to miss a minute!

I am praying True Blood isn't going where everyone's been hinting it's going.

Is Alan Ball thinking he can turn the fans off Eric with all of the homoerotic implications so he can continue to sell us on Stephen Moyer?

Well, I guess he has completely done away with the book this season, so I shouldn't be surprised.

(LOL, I loved the first episode, but am equally pissed off at how 'un-Sookie Stackhouse/Charlaine Harris' the show has become. I'm really becoming concerned about the show completely losing it before too long. The writers and actors don't seem to be big enough fans of the books to bother with following the story anymore.)

Anonymous, the upcoming scene between Lafs & Eric wasn't meant to be homoerotic, at least from what was said by Nelsan in recent interviews.

Alan Ball knows that the Eric character is popular and I think Lafs will become one of Eric's minions. I can already hear the banter between he and Eric...then you throw Pam into the mix. That will be PRICELESS. I'm sure we are going to get the romantic triangle between Sookie/Bill/Eric. Alex has said Eric is intrigued by Sookie and for a human to do that to jaded Eric, Alan Ball will delve into that relationship deeper.

=^..^=

I was disappointed in the first episode because I wanted to see more of Eric. The point of making this show is to make money so that HBO will continue with it. If you check out HBO's boards, you will see that Eric's fans outnumber all the others, though Bill's come close. Therefore, it seems AB would choose to give him more screen time. What did he get - one minute? I'm with Anonymous, AB is going too far from the books. I don't know why he just didn't come up with his own concept and save paying a bunch of money to CH since he's ignoring most of her themes anyway.

I like the creators going away from the book. Why? Well, what is the point of watching the show if you know everyting that it's going to happen. You're realy not that pissed if you miss any episode...but this way...you're intrigued, you cant't miss an episode o be on track....

It's surprising.

About stiangle Sookie/Bill/Eric... I cant't help myself to find the actor of Sookie so plain looking. I think Eric shoul matc up with a totaly new caracter..

Maby reaveling a story, that Eric has once been close to a human that has been taken away from him and was later turned into a vampire. But was foreced to be with her's creator. Maby in one battle that creator should die...and Eric reunites with the former human-love and struggles with the new 'person' that she became.

...it would be interesting...
