Charlaine Harris will be guest at North Little Rock program
The Arkansas Center for the Book will host "An Intimate Evening
with Charlaine Harris" on Oct. 29, as part of its 2010 statewide reading program, If All Arkansas Read the Same Book.
This event will begin at 7 p.m. in the R.J. Wills Lecture Hall in the
Campus Center at Pulaski Technical College, North Little Rock campus.
Seating is limited and will require a reservation. For full details, visit the program blog at www.arkansasreads2010.blogspot.com.
Charlaine Harris is an author who lives in Magnolia. Her body of works are the focus of the Arkansas Center for the Book's 2010 statewide reading program, If All Arkansas Read the Same Book.
To celebrate the Arkansas Center for the Book's 10th anniversary, If All Arkansas Read the Same Book encourages Arkansans to read 10 of Ms. Harris's books during 10 months, spanning March through December 2010. While Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series will be highlighted, everyone is encouraged to explore her other series, as well.
Harris, a published novelist for more than 25 years, has written stand-alone novels, short stories, poetry, plays, in addition to mystery series named for their heroines -- Aurora Teagarden, Lily Bard, and Harper Connelly. Perhaps her most famous novels are those comprising the Sookie Stackhouse (Southern Vampire) series, which has been published in countries around the world, including Japan, Great Britain, Greece, Germany, Thailand, Spain, France and Russia.
