The fantasy television series True Blood premieres on HBO with the episode “Strange Love.” The series is based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries series by Charlaine Harris. In the episode, telepath Sookie Stackhouse, played by Anna Paquin, first encounter the vampire Bill Compton, played by Stephen Moyer, at the bar where she works. TV.com entry

Eating BBQ and waiting for the first
episode of True Blood to come on.
Sitting with Hubby and waiting to watch HBO's new vampire show True Blood. Had never heard of the books, but read a few reviews of the show , which were not too kind. When Anna Paquin came on, my Hubby asked who's the girl, I replied, remember the little girl from 'The Piano' with Harvey Keitel, No!
Well we were there the first night and loved the show!

Yes, this time a year ago, I was already sitting on my sofa with wine in hand getting ready to see TB come to life on my screen. Time flies when we're having fun, right? Now we'll have to wait almost a year until Season 3 premieres. *Sighs heavily*

Sept. 7 started an obsession in my life on a scale I never experienced before. True Blood premiered! And I joined a discussion board, started scouring the internet for anything and everything about Stephen Moyer, read the books, scoured the internet for anything and everything on Alexander Skarsgård after reading all the books in about a week, read blogs, listened to Dallas' show, read fan fiction, considers writing fan fiction, and will be going to New Orleans to meet like-minded fans!!
